Al-Fitnah Al-Kubra Roots Sectarianism In Islam
The assassination of Uthman was the starting point for the emergence of divisions among Muslims. The incident of al-Fitnah al-Kubra became a dark record that tarnished the glorious history of this Ummah. In the midst of this crisis, Ali tried to fix the situation. However, Ali ascended the throne at an inopportune time. The short-lived and busy government stabilized the state of the state. Civil wars such as Jamal's war and Shiffin's war are also inevitable. This research is a review of existing literature (library research). Library research is a literature review, either from books, notes, or research relevant to this research. The results concluded The schism widened when Ali's dispute with Mu'awiya was ended through tahkim. In fact, it gets worse. If the wound of Muslims with the death of Uthman is likened to the scratch of a dagger, So the wounds of the people, after being caused by various events afterwards, were not only slit but also chopped. So the people seemed to be a pile of meat divided by hungry wolves. Not only that, each group of wolves attacks each other to take the other. To understand the complexity of this condition, the author tries to explain the roots of sectarianism in the bodies of Muslims

Numerical solution of nonlinear parabolic type equation in the class of generalized functions with degeneration
6th International Eurasian Conference on Mathematical Sciences and Applications (IECMSA) -- AUG 15-17, 2017 -- Budapest, HUNGARYIn this paper, a method for obtaining the numerical solution of the first type initial boundary value problem for a second order degenerate parabolic equation is suggested. To this end, in accordance with the smoothness of the solution of the investigated problem, we introduce an auxiliary problem, as it has some advantages over the main problem, and is equivalent to the main problem in a definite sense. Using the introduced auxiliary problem, we write a more sensitive numerical scheme whose solution expresses all of the physical properties of the problem accurately. Moreover, using the auxiliary problem, we can write the higher order numerical schemes with respect to the time variable
Managing Evidence-Based Research Processes with Systematic Review and Bibliometric Analysis Methods in Covid-19 Pandemic
Objective: This article aims to analyze different approaches to a literature review. The publications in the pandemic period were examined by bibliometric analysis method within the framework of systematic review and determined criteria. Methods: Between 01.01.2020 and 07.06.2020, research on pandemics in WOS and Scopus platforms has been examined with a comprehensive literature study. The first aim of the study is to reveal the quality of the literature research. Another goal is to analyze the results with certain criteria. The bibliometric analysis method was used to analyze the results of the research. Results: With the determined research strategy, the publications belonging to the pandemic period were analyzed comparatively with charts and tables in WOS and Scopus platforms such as country, type of publication, institution, subject area, author, the most cited publication, and the most published journals. Conclusion: Within the framework of bibliometric analysis, it is one of the top contributors in the process with the highest number of publications in the US pandemic process. Although there is no direct relationship between the intensity of spreading of the pandemic and the publications produced, these two processes have proceeded almost parallel to each other. It has been determined that the most broadcasting institutions are universities in the USA. In this process, it was seen that most of the articles were published in order to ensure the rapid dissemination of scientific information. In the fight against epidemic, it has been observed that quite a lot of publications have been produced in the field of medicine on both platforms
An edition of Diwan al-Ahkam al-kubra by `Isa b. Sahl (d. 486 A.H / 1144)
The title of this thesis is "An Edition of Diwan Al Ahkam
al-Kubra by `Isa b. Sahl Abi al-Asbag who died in the year 486 A. H.
1093. A. D. This work consists of two parts. The first part is the
Arabic text, and the second is the English introduction.
This thesis as a whole was intended to become three volumes but
only the original copy is now in three volumes and the photocopies
are in two volumes.
The first volume ended at page number 727 and the second started
with the subject of “Sura fima Tahalaf...” 11 page number 728 to the end
of the Arabic text.
The Arabic text contains the Arabic index of Diwan al-Ahkam
al-Kubra, a few loose pages found with this book, the whole material
of the master copy and all the additional pages found in copies R and
A.
The present Arabic text is the photocopy of a manuscript which
was procured from The National Library in Algeria. It was listed under
No. 1332, and it was used as a master copy of this thesis.
The other nine copies have been utilised as supplementary material
for the purpose of checking evidence, of comparing variants and for
verification, where difficulties occurred in reading some lines or
illegible words in the master copy.
The English part consists of six chapters.
The first chapter provides general information as an introduction
to this thesis in locating the master copy, and the other copies.
The second chapter provides an idea of A1-Awza’iy's doctrines
in Andalusia during Abu A1-Asbag’s time, and how these doctrines
appeared in Andalusia. Imam Malik's doctrines were discussed, and
so was the method of how it was introduced there before the 'Isa b.
Sahl's time.
General ideas about Imam Malik and Abu Hanifa, their life and opinions,
their schools in al-Madina and Iraq, and their different legal opinions
were examined in this chapter. Also included in the chapter, is the
influence of Malik's doctrines through his students, who introduced
the doctrines into Andalusia.
Also incorporated was the question of Egypt and her part in
advancing Malik's doctrines into Andalusia, with reference to what
was found in Abu al-Asbag's book, as a part of the establishment of
Malik's doctrines in Andalusia and North Africa.
The question of Al-Si`a’s doctrines in North Africa and Andalusia
as a different school from the Sunna which began to reveal itself
through the conflict between the other Sunna schools (Awza`iy, Maliki
and Hanafi) was analysed.
The third chapter concerned Legal organisation in Andalusia, the
Powers and the Obligations of jurists. We referred in this chapter to
Abu al-Asbag's words in his book and how-the legal procedures were
organized during his lifetime.
The duties and responsibilities of the judges in their different
capacities were mentioned and evaluated in this section of the chapter,
with reference to the legal cases of Abu al-Asbag's. There is a general
examination of the various kinds of legal offices pertaining to the
judges, such as Sahib al-Mawarit, Sahib al-Surta, and Sahib al-Madina.
Mention was also made of some judges who held legal positions such as
Sahib al-Bahar and Sahib al-Sika. Various forms of punishment were
looked at with respect to individual crime, as issuing from the
administration of legal authority.
The fourth chapter deals with the author of the MS, his name,
surname, place and date of birth, his teachers, qualifications for
the legal profession, his journeys, his students, his later years and
his death.
There was the attempt to elucidate the historical evidence concerning
the life and activity of the author, by employing both ancient
and modern references available in and outwith Great Britain.
The author's legal statements were quoted in order to give an idea
about his legal practices. At the end of this chapter the conclusion
was reached that Abu al-Asbag was a very well-known scholar, judge,
jurist and legal adviser to the ruler. A few paragraphs were quoted
showing the high esteem in which he was held.
The fifth chapter of the thesis is given over to an analysis and
a description of the Algerian copy (No. 1332) as a master copy. -
A description of the other copies (R, A, B, D, H, F, S, The
Royal Copy No. 2501, the missing copy No. 464D, and copy M) were given
in full detail, with the different title of each copy.
At the end of the chapter a key to the Arabic text is given.
The sixth chapter deals with the classification of the legal topics
covered in the author's book and their relationship to the Iraqi Laws,
with consideration of the necessary legal topics.
The thesis also deals with the author's legal opinions and his
colleagues. It examines the author's conception of Islamic Law and
Islamic Jurisprudence in Andalusia during the Muslim times. Also
contained are photocopies of the first and the last pages of all MSS
used in the work
): Comparison with commercial nuts
The goal of the present study was to investigate the antioxidant activity and total phenolic content (TPC) of Maya nut (Brosimum alicastrum) in comparison with commercially available nuts (i.e. walnut, almond, and peanut). Results indicated that Maya nut had the highest TPCs among these nuts. Maya nut also possessed strong 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH) and 2.2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) (ABTS) scavenging activities and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) (p < 0.05) as compared to walnut, almond, and peanut. Five phenolic acids (gallic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, and p-coumaric acid) and one flavonoid ((-)-epicatechin) were identified and the phenolic content ranged from 6.5 to 326.2 mu g/g.Ministry of National Education, TurkeyMinistry of National Education - TurkeyThe author acknowledges The Ministry of National Education, Turkey, for financial assistance
Understanding the physiology in continuum: integration of information from multiple "-omics" levels
One of the most fascinating aspects of biomedical sciences is searching for the links between the observed phenotypic changes with the underlying causes linked to known biological functions at the molecular level. These functions, however, are observed at different physiologic levels interacting physically, spatially, and/or temporally. Systems biology fundamentally studies the interactions taking place at genomic, proteomic and metabolomic levels under homeostatic conditions or in response to pathologic or pharmacologic stimuli. Each of these data-rich “-omics” fields have instrumental contributions to describe biological phenomena at their complementary levels. Integration of the knowledge from one or more such levels gives us opportunity to determine causal links more thoroughly and rationalize the focused question from initiating source to the observed end point. This dissertation is centered on extracting information from the data provided by the -omics analyses, as well as interconnecting the information gained at different levels through bioinformatics and modeling approaches. We applied these approaches to understand the impact of systemic inflammation and anti-inflammatory therapy on the metabolism in two distinct studies. Our first focus was on the major changes arising in plasma metabolome during the response to systemic inflammation, and how these changes affect the transcriptome of immune cells, in turn. We defined the dominant metabolic dynamics in the plasma of humans administered with bacterial endotoxin, as a surrogate for reproducing the pathophysiology of systemic inflammation. Subsequently, we integrated this analysis with transcriptional response of leukocytes to understand how their gene expression might have been affected from the metabolic landscape of the fluid environment in which they circulate. We hypothesized that the drastic changes in the immediate environment of the leukocytes might have an adaptive effect on shaping their transcriptional response in conjunction with the initial inflammatory stimuli. Secondly, we explored the interplay between transcriptional and translational dynamics in liver in response to an anti-inflammatory drug administration. This involved the integration of temporal gene and protein expression patterns extracted from the livers of rats injected with a synthetic corticosteroid (methylprednisolone, MPL); long term use of which is associated with many metabolism related side effects. Our approach involved both combining and contrasting the same gene products in two different expression levels, in essence, pursuing the best integration approach yielding most useful mechanistic information. The significant disparity between the proteome and corresponding transcriptome in this study suggested that additional translational or post-translational implications of CSs are very plausible in addition to their direct effects on transcription; while also cautioning against the use of transcriptional data for deciphering the regulation of the functional pathways which they represent.Ph.D.Includes bibliographical referencesby Kubra Kamisogl
Contemporary explanations for Sunan Nasaie: A study of sheikh Muhammad Ali Adam approach in his commentary Zakhirah al-’Uqba / Romzi Taleh
The purpose of this research is to study the methodology of Mohammad bin Ali Adam al-Ethiopi in his work, “Zahirah al-„Uqba fi Sharh al-Mujtaba”. This work consists of writings and lectures on Sunan al-Nasa‟i al-Sughra written by Imam al-Nasa‟i. The focus of this study is on the science of narration and analysis of texts applied in the work. This study also introduces Imam al-Nasa‟i‟s work, Sunan al-Nasa‟i, and its position among other books of hadith collections. The biography of Mohammad bin Ali Adam is also introduced based on authoritative sources of reference, besides interviews with his students and followers. This study uses an analytical approach in order to identify the methodology employed by Mohammad bin Ali Adam in his analysis of the hadiths in Sunan al-Nasa‟i, as well as criticisms directed towards him. In producing this study, the writer used the comparison method, by comparing the methods applied in Zahirah al-„Uqba and in al-Shanqiti‟s Shuruq Anwar al-Minan al-Kubra. Zahirah al-„Uqba is a contemporary study of Sunan al-Nasa‟i which is difficult to find nowadays. In order to produce this study, the author studied the hadiths with the utmost care. The uniqueness of this analysis is its thoroughness, introducing readers to the hadiths and the problems contained in Sunan al-Nasa‟i. The author was consistent with the method applied in the study. The author also referred to the study by al-Shanqiti that was written before Zahirah al‟Uqba. However, the author added a few points such as lataif al-isnad besides focusing on the differences between Sunan al-Nasa‟i and the original writing, al-Sunan al-Kubra. Results of the study show that the author focused on the academic issues contained in the writings without being influenced by the source of the various opinions. Harsh criticisms and insults towards other scholars are nowhere to be found in this work. Instead, the author shows respect to scholars who provided insight, as every student should do
Children’s right to the city: The case of street children
© The Author(s) 2021.Children are important actors in the urban areas of Turkey since they make up the largest demographic group. Therefore, the reasons behind their being regarded as ‘passive’ should be re-examined, in view of the fact that they live and work in, and create and recreate the city. The purpose of this study is to elaborate the children’s right to the city concept from two different points of view using liberal and radical approaches within the theoretical framework provided by Marcuse in the right to the city discourse. The reason for choosing Marcuse is that at some points, his arguments meet with both a liberal and radical understanding of the right to the city. Therefore, these two approaches will be compared regarding children’s right to the city in Turkey in light of related literature. In the last part of the study, children’s right to the city will be discussed from these two perspectives with the particular case of street children derived from findings in the literature. It is revealed that while there are significant developments in Turkey at local and international level in terms of children’s right to the city and street children, there is still a need for a strengths-based perspective which positions children as active agents making decisions about their own lives and formation of urban space
