Betydelsen av brobyggare : Det etablerade civilsamhället och förortsrörelsen
No full textLisa Kings artikel studerar individer som fungerat som så kallade brobyggare mellan äldre civilsamhällesorganisationer och en ny förortsrörelse i Sverige. Materialet utgörs primärt av intervjuer med professionellt verksamma i tre etablerade civilsamhällesorganisationer. Analysen visar att brobyggarnas roll och position har använts för att stödja förortsrörelsens uppstart, men att brobyggarnas kamp i förlängningen handlat om att förändra och (re)vitalisera den egna organisationen. I ljuset av detta illustrerar behovet av brobyggare den distans och asymmetriska relation som finns mellan civilsamhällets centrum och periferi. Full text link[The importance of brokers. The established civil society and the urban justice movement]Lisa Kings’s article examines individuals that act as so-called brokers between older civil society organizations and a new urban justice movement (förortsrörelsen) in Sweden. The material consists primarily of interviews with professionals from three established civil society organizations. The analysis shows that the role and position of brokers have been used to support the start-up of the urban justice movement, but the overall struggle for brokers has been focused on changing and (re)revitalizing their own organizations. Thus, the need for brokers illustrates the distance and asymmetric relations between centre and periphery in Swedish civil society. Att göra kaos : Om förortspolitiken som urban styrregim och demokratiskt spel
No full textI Nazem Tahvilzadeh och Lisa Kings artikel diskuteras orsakerna till den uppståndelse, eller ”kaos” för att använda aktivisternas egna ord, som organisationen Megafonen skapade inom ramen för stadsutvecklingsprojektet Järvalyftet i Husby. Med inspiration från teorier om hur samtycke till ojämlikhet grundläggs på fabriksgolvet utvecklas två begrepp för att synliggöra den politiska ordningen i förorten och dess konkreta aktiviteter: urbana styrregimer och demokratiska spel. Studien visar hur Megafonens avhopp och sedermera kritik av Järvalyftet och förortspolitiken bröt mot den etablerade politiska ordningen i relationerna mellan stat och civilsamhälle i den urbana periferin. Aktivisternas handlingar kom därför att betraktas som ”skandalösa” av delar av det politiska etablissemanget. Megafonen vägrade att spela enligt spelets regler och synliggjorde således ojämlikheterna i förortspolitikens demokratiska spel med medborgarna. Underlaget för studien baseras på processpårande och etnografisk metod som empiriskt återskapar den förortspolitiska satsningen Järvalyftet och dess logiker samt Megafonens roll 2006–2013.Platskamp, specialnummer av Arkiv. No full textProfessor Alfredo Falcone and Dr Lisa Salvatore speak to Roshaine Gunawardana, Managing Commissioning Editor: Professor Alfredo Falcone is the Director of the Department of Oncology and the Specialization School at the University Hospital of Pisa, Italy. He trained in Pisa and Genoa, Italy, and has held major positions in Italian oncology since 2000. He currently has more than 300 publications, including papers in peer-reviewed international and national journals, book chapters, and more than 600 abstracts of presentations to international and national conferences. The majority of his papers regard clinical and translational research, with a particular focus on metastatic colorectal cancer. Dr Lisa Salvatore is a medical oncologist in the Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Pisa. She has been an author on about 40 publications in major peer-reviewed publications and has made numerous presentations in national and international conferences. Liturgy and Devotion in Insular Witnesses to the Cult of the Three Kings of Cologne
No full textThe relics of the Magi who had visited the infant Jesus were enshrined at the cathedral at Cologne in the twelfth century, where they became an important focus of pilgrimage. The cult was widespread and diverse in form, and was especially focused on the season of Epiphany; devotional practices included formal liturgical rites, representative drama, and the invocation of the Magi in medical remedies. This chapter considers the relationship between such categories as devotional and liturgical in relation to examples of the cult in Insular sources. In particular, the presence of a votive Mass for Travellers of the Three Kings of Cologne, as found in a fifteenth-century manuscript belonging to priest Henry Wells, presents an opportunity to consider individuals for whom the cult held particular significance
