Internships are practical training opportunities that provide useful, practical work related to a student's area of study or career interest during the period of time provided by the respective universities, and industrial training provides a broader experience for the student's career growth and development. To complete my Bachelor Degree, Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) Finance, final year students are required to participate in industrial training for at least 24 weeks in order to acquire experience in their respective fields of study. Students in their final semester are required to search for an available internship placement that has been assigned by the involved firm. From the 1st of March 2023 to the 15th of August 2023, Avilllion Port Dickson was my preferred internship location. The Avillion Port Dickson is a five-star luxury hotel with a water chalet, award-winning SPA facilities, and other amenities. I will discuss the concepts that I've learned through my internships in this report. I have a great deal of experience, including interacting with guests and making quick, intelligent decisions. The first chapter will provide an educational and organisational overview of the hotel. You can read about the hotel's overview. In addition, the second chapter will conclude with a discussion of the company's SWOT analysis. And finally, I will discuss the recommendations regarding the company's weaknesses and hazards. The corporation is the ideal location for me to receive industrial training for my final semester, as well as a relevant location for my internship period, because the company operates in the majority of parts of the world, giving me an advantage in my future endeavors once I have officially completed my bachelor degree

Antenna is the basic component of all system using electromagnetic radiation to transmit and receive information. In this project the antenna that has been design is helical antenna. Helical antenna is the antenna that has been popular in application from VHF to microwaves requiring circular polarization. The one that take advantages of helical antenna is satellite communication. A helical antenna is an antenna consisting of a conducting wire wound in the form of a helix. In most cases, helical antennas are mounted over a ground plane. The feed line is connected between the bottom of the helix and the ground plane. The important part of helical antenna is the radiating element which is the helical wire. The helical wire is driven at one end and radiating along the axis of the helix makes the direction unidirectional from the far open end. For this project, theory and practical must be done to know the signal when using helical antenna for broadband wireless system. The antenna is design using CST microwave studio. The antenna will focused on increase the performance of wireless broadband system in term of loss and its gain. The antenna is design for wireless broadband application because of it is easy to construct, low cost, and smaller size. The simulation will be compared to the experimental results. This invention is to provide depth knowledge on helical antenna.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Khalidah. 2016. The Speaking Ability of The Sixth Semester Students in Debate Club (LiDS EDUCIA) and Non Debate Club at English Department of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Thesis. English Education Department, Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty. Advisor I : Drs. Saadilah, M. Pd., Advisor II : Rusnadi, S.Pd.I, M.Pd.I., M.A Keywords: Speaking Ability, Debate Club and Non Debate Club In this research the researcher wants to know the difference of speaking ability between students in debate club and non debate club of the sixth semester students at English Departement of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Debate is very potential technique to develop student’s ability especially in speaking. The subject of this research is all of the sixth semester students at English Department in Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin, but the researcher takes samples 14% from each classes. The total numbers of the samples are 22 students. Those divided into two groups of students. 11 students from debate club named LiDS Educia and 11 students from non debate club students. The object of this research is the speaking ability of debate club students and non debate club students’ in sixth semester. To collect the data, the writer uses some technique such as, speaking test and documentation. Then, all the data are analyzed by using quantitative approach. The result of this research shows that the mean score of the students’ speaking ability in debate club is 20,18 and mean score of students’ speaking ability of non debate club with mean score is 15,18. Speaking ability t-Count (5.48)>t-table 5% (3.10)>t-table 1% (1.36). T-count is higher than t-table Ha (Hipotesis Alternatif) is received and Ho (Zero Hipotesis) is rejected. Based on those result, the researcher concluded there is a significant difference between debate club students named LiDS Educia and non debate club of the sixth semester at English Department of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training Faculty of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Based on the research result, researcher suggests the students who follow debate club of English Department to study hard in English subject to help them in daily life conversation and all skills of English and also should be creative students to get more knowledge, not just from teacher but trough English media like English program at TV and the most important is practice your English any time and any conditions. The students who do not follow debate can join in debate club to try and practice English so that can speak more interesting than before and then be confident

The main objective of conducting this study is to identify the metabolites of carbamazepine metabolised by CYP3A4 using various concentrations of carbamazepine and CYP3A4 enzymes at different pH condition and investigate the metabolism through spectroscopic technique. A number of processes involved in order to achieve this objective. First process was enzymatic reaction of carbamazepine and followed by extraction and evaporation in order to isolate pure metabolites. The metabolites were further subjected to Thin Layer Chromatography technique for purification and structural characterization by 1H-NMR. Investigation through 1H-NMR identified the metabolic changes in carbamazepine nucleus and the resulting metabolites formed had been identified as 10, 11-dihydro- l 0-hydroxycarbamazepine and I 0, 11- dihydrocarbamazepine. Therefore, with the identification of metabolites formed, this study has accomplished its objective as stated above

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Shear resistance of rubber-ballast composites in simulated water and acid soaked conditions

Ballast is one of the main structures for the railway tracks. It can resist the lateral movement under dynamic loading transferred by the passing trains with repeatedly. Under some circumstances, ballast can suffer degradation or breakdown due to the repeated loading and maintenance. Ballast is easily exposed to the weather because it is laid on the track. Acid rain affects the performance of the railway track near the industrial and urban area. As a result, it starts to foul and the small chips from ballast filled the void, as well as reduce the shear strength of ballast particles. This situation can contribute into the increasing of maintenance frequency and costing. This paper examines the potential of rubber inclusions in increasing the shear resistance of rubber-ballast composites in simulated water and acid soaked conditions with several configuration. This lab-based exploratory work is only static load simulation in conventional shear box setup measuring 60 mm × 60 mm. The aggregates size is 10 times smaller than actual size of ballast. In order to identify the shear resistance deterioration of rubber-aggregates mixture under poor drainage conditions by soaked a batch of aggregates in water and acid solution for 2 weeks to simulate accelerated weathering effects. The shear resistance did not rise dramatically with the rubber reinforcement. This susceptible shear strain plots indicate ductile behaviour on the aggregates-rubber composites. This is evident by the linear rise of shear stress with strain up to approximately 10% for the control samples (CS) until it reaches a constant value. Note that all the specimens including CS are in a loose state during the testing because there were no tamping been applied on the samples. Overall the circular patch (CP) specimen was the most favourable than the other configurations. Both mechanisms contributed to the reduced overall subsistence, accompanied by an increase in the shear resistance. The inclusion of rubber elements apparently prevented the dilation of the granular material when approaching the shear failure and the reducing the settlement

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    Get PDF
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
