Teologi Multikultural: Kearifan Lokal Sebagai Bentuk Berteologi dan Berbudaya
Christianity is a religion that can be said to be quite large and growing rapidly in the world. Since the first time people who believed in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior were called Christian in Antioch, the development in terms of quantity continued to increase and eventually spread to Indonesia through missionaries from the Western world. Along with the development on the field of technology and information era, this makes people consider culture as an ancient thing that needs to be abandoned. Not only technology, with the development of Western theology, makes culture lost without trace. Western theology views culture as an idol and therefore according to Christian teachings that Christians should not be involved in it. This paper will provide a new horizon where theology and culture should not be the two things that should not be hostiled to each other but both must be united so that the cultural community can interpret its faith more concretely. The method used in this research is a qualitative description method using literature study and also theories that are used as a tool to look back at theology in a plural society system. The attitude of Christians towards culture is strongly influenced by the construction of theology that is built. Therefore, it is important to look back and review the theology that develops in culture. In addition, studying the Bible's view of culture and how theology should behave is of the utmost importance. At the end of this paper, the author will contribute giving the thoughts on how theology is manifested in a pluralistic culture
The Significance of Eco-Theology in the Perspective of Christian Eschatology: As an Attempt to Embody the New Heavens and earth
Eschatology is one of the important doctrine in Christianity. The hope of the second coming of Christ into the world is an important reflection material for human being. The second coming of Christ does not only relate to the human condition after death. The second coming of Christ on earth does not only deal with humans (the dead and the living) but the bible also says that it relates to the determination of every believer to live in the new heavens and earth where this is known as heavens and the atmosphere of heaven will be experienced by human beings who believe now and then, meaning that the mandate given by God to humans to preserve and maintain the earth is a task that is accounted for now and later eschatologically. By using a literature-based qualitative research method, the authors examine in a narrative description the meaning of Eco-Theology for Christian eschatology. Eco-Theology is a tool that can be used by humans to make people see the world from a different perspective. Eco-Theology for eschatology has its significance in which by preserving nature, humans are making a new heaven and earth that can be felt by every creature. The recommendation of this research is to use eco-theology as part of practical theology, to embody heavens and earth concretely
Spiritualitas dalam Ruang Cyber (Cyberspace): Makhluk Digitalis sekaligus Spiritualis
The development of technology is so massive, that humans are no longer called only social and spiritual beings, but there is a new label attached to humans, namely digital beings (homo digitalis). This label is given because of seeing the human condition that is so active not only in the reality of the social environment, but also in the virtual reality environment. By using descriptive analysis which is part of the literature research method, the author analyzes the humans condition in the digital era. Not only is it socially useful to grow - in this case, there is another social space that is virtual - but also in this digital era, the opportunity to use every available platform to spread the Gospel of God's Kingdom. Humans, who are digital and spiritual beings, seek identity and spiritual nourishment not longer in church buildings but also on every platform provided in cyberspace. Therefore, churches that are only busy closing themselves in and do not participate in using social media as an evangelistic platform will be left behind
Telaah Teologis terhadap Peran Orang Tua dalam Menumbuhkan Kepercayaan Diri Remaja
Abstract. Teenager are an age that needs intensive parental assistance. This period is a very important period in determining the future and having the correct identity. The purpose of this study was to determine what causes adolescents to experience low self-esteem and the importance of the role of parents in caring for and fostering adolescent self-esteem. This study uses a literature method with the study presented is descriptive narrative and includes cases in adolescent problems. The reasons for adolescents to have low self-esteem are past events that occur and parenting parents who should be responsible for the development of their children. The results of this study indicate that the role of parents is very crucial in fostering adolescent self-confidence through the attention they give, togetherness, motivating, and being an example that can be followed.Abstrak. Pendidikan Kesadaran Kristis: Sebuah Tantangan dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen
The conciousness of critical thinking is important and should be concern for every educational institutions in Indonesia. Training students to think critically and analytically on various kinds of problems is a serious thing for educators to do. So the purpose of this research is the education for critical consiousness promoted by Paulo Freire, can be applied in education in Indonesia, in order to produce students who think critically, including in terms of Christian teaching. By using a literature-based qualitative method, the authors systematically and theoretically describe critical conciousness in Christian religious Education. This is a challenge for Christian religious education in responding to it. Therefore, the interaction space between Christian religious education and students’ critical thinking conciousness becomes a meeting room that must be nurtured. So from this research, the authors conclude that to produce critical pedagogy that places social problems becomes central in the discussion room in the classroom
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
