Deep reinforcement learning for acceptance strategy in bilateral negotiations
No full textThis paper introduces an acceptance strategy based on reinforcement learning for automated bilateral negotiation, where negotiating agents bargain on multiple issues in a variety of negotiation scenarios. Several acceptance strategies based on predefined rules have been introduced in the automated negotiation literature. Those rules mostly rely on some heuristics, which take time and/or utility into account. For some negotiation settings, an acceptance strategy solely based on a negotiation deadline might perform well; however, it might fail in another setting. Instead of following predefined acceptance rules, this paper presents an acceptance strategy that aims to learn whether to accept its opponent's offer or make a counter offer by reinforcement signals received after performing an action. In an experimental setup, it is shown that the performance of the proposed approach improves over time.Interactive Intelligenc

Eserin hazırlanma aşamasında, dönemin yaygın eğitim merkezi olan medreselerde ders veren bir grup âlimden yardım alan Yusuf Ziya Paşa, eserini İstanbul'da bastırmıştır. Eser, yayınlanmasının ardından Kürt ileri gelenleri ve araştırmacılar arasında büyük yankı uyandırmıştır. Bu çalışma, Yusuf Ziya Paşa'nın kaleme aldığı eseri, dönemin bağlamsal şartlarını göz önünde bulundurarak yapı, teknik ve içerik bakımından incelemektedir. Söz konusu eserin, Arap kökenli bir müellif tarafından kaleme alınan ilk Kürtçe – Arapça sözlük olması hasebiyle çalışmada öncelikle, içinde bulunduğu siyasi, sosyal ve kültürel çevre irdelenerek yazarın hayatına yer verilmiştir. Öte taraftan el-Hediyyetü'l-Hamidiyye fi'l-lügati'l-Kürdiyye eserinin incelemesine giden yolda dil, sözlük ve sözlükbilim kavramları ele alınırken, eserin yazıldığı Kürtçe-Arapça dilleri de genel anlamda araştırmaya dahil edilmiştir. Son olarak sözlüğün tümü incelenerek ve Arapça metninin tashihi yapılarak tezin son bölümüne eklenmiştir.Yousef Diya' al-Khalidi, was appointed as the governor of Bitlis / Mutki during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamit II of the Ottoman Empire. Yousef Diya' Pasha, who was Palestinian and previously served as an administrative officer in Jerusalem and Russia in the name of the Ottoman Empire, besides his political experience he attached great importance to education and science. Due to his interest in languages, Yousef Diya' Pasha, who learned languages such as English, French, Persian and Turkish as well as his native Arabic, was interested in Kurdish and did not come across a grammar book or dictionary of the language in question. Having learned Kurdish during his three-year-long duty, Pasha wrote his book al-Hadiyatu'l Hamidiyah. During the preparation of the work, Yousef Diya' Pasha received help from a group of scholars who gave lectures in madrasahs (the common education centers of the period) and printed his work in Istanbul. After its publication, it resonated greatly among Kurdish notables and researchers. This study examines the work written by Yousef Diya' Pasha in terms of structure, technique and content, considering the contextual conditions of the period. Since the work in question is the first Kurdish - Arabic dictionary written by an Arab-origin author, the study firstly includes the life of the author by examining the political, social and cultural environment which he lived in. On the other hand, while the concepts of language, dictionary and lexicology are discussed on the way to the study of al-Hadiyatu'l Hamidiyah, Kurdish and Arabic languages in which the work was written were also included in the research in general. Finally, the whole dictionary is examined and the Arabic text is corrected and added to the last part of the thesis

Family, Religion and Society in Yousef al-Sibâi's Novels
No full textArap edebiyatının özellikle de Modern Arap edebiyatının en önemli
yazarlarından biri olan Yûsuf es-Sibâ‘î 20. yüzyılda Mısır’da yaşamıştır. Teknik ve
içerik açısından sağlam bir şekilde yazdığı romanlarıyla modern Arap romanının en
önemli örneklerini vermiştir. es-Sibâ‘î hikâye, tiyatro ve makale gibi türlerde de
eserler kaleme almıştır. Ancak daha çok romanlarıyla ön plana çıkarak bu türdeki
eserlerinde aile, din ve toplum öğelerini işlemiştir. O, romanlarında geçen bu
konuları tarihî, gerçekçi ve romantik bir bakış açısıyla ele alır ve onları kendi
süzgecinden geçirerek farklı yönleriyle okuyucuya sunar. Bunun yanı sıra roman
anlayışının arka planında aile, din ve toplum öğeleri zaman zaman olumsuz örnekleri
de konu alabilir. Böylece genel bir eleştiri yaparak bu konularda eksik yönlerin
düzeltilmesini ister. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucu Modern Mısır edebiyatı için önemli
bir şahsiyet olmasına rağmen ülkemizde Yûsuf es-Sibâ‘î hakkında bir çalışmanın yapılmamış olması böyle bir çalışmanın değerini göstermiştir. Yazarın eserleri
arasında en önemli yeri teşkil eden romanları bu çalışmanın ana temasını
oluşturmuştur.
Bu çalışmada Yûsuf es-Sibâ‘î’ye ait romanlarda ele alınan ve Arap toplumunun
kimliğini ön plana çıkaran öğelere değinilmiştir. Çalışma giriş ve iki bölümden
oluşur. Giriş bölümünde 20. yüzyılda Mısır romancılığına genel bir bakış ile Arap
toplumunda aile, din ve toplum yapısı durumlarından bahsedilmiştir. Birinci bölümde
yazarın hayatı, eserleri ve edebî kişiliği ele alınmış, ikinci bölümde ise aile, din ve
toplum konuları incelenmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmeler ve sonuç bölümüyle birlikte
çalışma tamamlanmıştır.Yousef al-Sebai, one of the most important writers of Arabic literature,
especially modern Arabic literature, lived in Egypt in the 20th century. He gave the
most important examples of the modern Arabic novel with his novels, which he
wrote very well in terms of technique and content. al-Sebai also wrote works in
genres such as stories, plays and articles. However, he mostly came to the fore with
his novels and handled family, religion and society elements in his works. He deals
with these issues in his novels from a historical, realistic and romantic point of view
and presents them to the reader with different features by passing them through his
own filter. In addition, in the background of his novel understanding, family, religion
and society elements can sometimes be the subject of negative examples. Thus, by
making a general criticism he asks to correct the deficiencies in these issues. As a
result of the researches, the fact that although he is an important figure for Modern
Egyptian literature, there has not been a study about Yousef al-Sebai in our country has shown the value of such a study. The novels, which constitute the most important
place among the works of the author, formed the main theme of this study.
In this study, the elements that are discussed in Yousef al-Sebai’s novels and
that highlight the identity of the Arab society are mentioned. The study consists of an
introduction and two parts. In the introduction, an overview of Egyptian novelism in
the 20th century and the conditions of family, religion and the structure of society in
Arab society are mentioned. In the first part, Yousef al-Sebai’s life, works and
literary personality were discussed, and in the second part, the subjects of family,
religion and society were examined. The study was completed with the evaluations
made and the conclusion part

No full textAbstract: The Adomian decomposition model (ADM) is described by Evans and Raslan (2005) as a semi-analytical model used to solve partial and ordinary non-linear differentials. ADM was designed by George Adomian between the 1970s and the 1990s (Hosseini & Nasabzadeh, 2007) whilst working at the University of Georgia’s Applied Mathematics department.
