EFFECT OF LEADERSHIP STYLE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE OF GLOBAL TREASURE BANK (Saw Kay Thi Hlaing, 2019)
Get PDFThis study has investigated the effects of leadership style on employee performance in Global Treasure Bank. The main objectives of the study are to identify the leadership style of GTB, and to examine the effect of leadership on employee performance in Global Treasure Bank. The required data were obtained by using sample survey. Sample of 108 out of total 540 employees who have been working in head office of GTB brank are chosen by simple random sampling method. It is 20% of total employee in Head office. All statements are measured by Five Point Likert Scale items to examine the research objective formally. After collecting the data from sampled respondents, data analysis of the results of the survey followed. Linear regression analysis was used. Some strategies for improving supervisor's leadership and employee performance could be suggested. It indicated that transformational leadership behavior would lead to higher employee performance. The leaders or supervisors should be aware of what is important for the employee and the organizations as a whole and encourage the employees to see the opportunities and challenges around them creatively. Therefore, leaders or supervisors should be aware of the importance of transformational leadership style and try to put it in practice
Effect of Digital Marketing Practices on Consumer Buying Behaviour in Breadtalk Products (Kay Thi Kyaw, 2025)
Get PDFThis study aims to investigate the effect of digital marketing practices on
consumer buying behaviour toward BreadTalk products. In this study, digital
marketing practices include email marketing, social media marketing, content
marketing, and website marketing. A quantitative research method is employed to
achieve the objective. A sample of 385 respondents, who are consumer of BreadTalk
and also the followers of the BreadTalk page, is selected using the systematic
sampling method. According to the multiple regression results, digital marketing
practices affect consumer buying behaviour toward BreadTalk products. Among the
digital marketing practices, website effectiveness shows the highest positive effect on
consumer buying behaviour, followed by social media marketing, content marketing,
and email marketing. BreadTalk Myanmar should enhance its website’s functionality
and content. Moreover, the website should integrate engaging multimedia content,
such as virtual bakery tours, chef stories, or baking process demonstrations, to
complement content marketing efforts and encourage repeat visits. According to
objectives two, it is found that independent variables of Email Marketing, Social
Media Marketing, Content Marketing and Website Marketing have above the
moderate level of effects on Consumer Buying Behaviours of BreadTalk Myanmar

Application o Principal Component Analysis To solve Multicollinearity in Sesame Production of Myanmar (1995-2020) (Kay Thi Htun, 2022)
Get PDFThe aim of this study is to apply the principal component analysis in solving
the problem of multicollinearity for sesame production of Myanmar (1995-2020) with
five explanatory variables which are sown acreage, harvested acreage, area of crops
under irrigation, agricultural loan and quality seeds. The situations of these
explanatory variables were described by using descriptive statistics. According to the
correlation matrix of explanatory variables, it was found that these are highly
correlated themselves. Since the symptoms of collinearity occur between sown
acreage and harvested acreage. Thus, principal component analysis was applied to
overcome multicollinearity problem. It was found that the two principal components.
The first component consisted of sown acreage and harvested acreage, then quality
seeds, agricultural loan and irrigation were included in the second component.
According to the results of sesame production after removal of multicollinearity, sown
acreage and harvested acreage are positively effect on sesame production and the
explanatory variables can explain 84.2 % of variation in sesame production of
Myanmar
A Study on Farmers' Awareness of Pesticide Use ( Case Study : Pyay Township, Bago Region) ( Kay Thi Nwe, 2025)
Get PDFPesticides are extensively utilized in agriculture to enhance crop yields; however,
inadequate handling and storage pose significant health and environmental hazards,
particularly in rural farming communities with limited access to safety education. This
study assessed farmers' knowledge and attitudes regarding pesticide usage and storage
in a rural area through a descriptive study involving 417 farmers. Data analysis
employed descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and multivariable logistic regression
to ascertain relationships, with a significance threshold established at p<0.05. The
result shows that farmers are aware of the health, environmental, and livestock
impacts of pesticides but lack of knowledge in regulations and safe practices. Many
cannot read pesticide labels or recognize banned substances, highlighting the need for
better education. While some understand how pesticides enter the body, their
knowledge of poisoning symptoms and safe storage is weak, posing risks. Farmers’
attitudes toward safety are generally poor, with risky behaviors and limited use of
protective gear, emphasizing the need for targeted training to improve safety and
health outcomes. The study highlights that the implementing community-based
educational initiatives to improve literacy and formal education, establishing
comprehensive training programs focused on safe pesticide handling, and promoting
awareness of pesticide regulations. Additionally, fostering a culture of safety through
community engagement and mentorship programs can bridge knowledge gaps
Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Anti- Money Laundering Practices in UAB Bank (Kay Thi Win Hlaing, 2025)
Get PDFThis study explores the factors affecting the effectiveness of Anti-Money
Laundering (AML) compliance practices at uab bank, a major private financial institution
in Myanmar. The research focuses on four key variables: the responsibility of the bank in
AML efforts, employee training and awareness, technological integration, and regulatory
enforcement. Data were collected from 385 respondents across various departments and
positions within uab bank through a structured questionnaire. The analysis involved
descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression techniques. Findings
indicate that regulatory enforcement has the strongest positive effect on AML compliance,
followed by employee training and the bank’s internal responsibility. Technological
integration, while supportive, showed a relatively weaker influence. Overall, the results
suggest that AML compliance at uab Bank is at a high level, but continued improvement is
necessary, especially in system upgrades and proactive regulatory alignment. The study
concludes with recommendations aimed at strengthening compliance frameworks and
fostering a culture of integrity and accountability
The Effect of Human Resources Management Practices on Employee Satisfaction and Employee Loyalty of Aera Club, Yangon (Kay Thi Naing, 2022)
Get PDFThe main objectives of the study are to examine the effect of human resources management practices on employee satisfaction and to analyze the effect of employee satisfaction on employee loyalty at AERA Yangon. The primary data was collected from 87 employees in AERA by using structured questionnaires. The secondary data was collected from company recorded data, textbooks and related research papers. The study applied linear regression method for analytical purpose. The findings indicated that four practices of human resources management such as recruitment and selection, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation and benefit are the influencing factors on employee satisfaction. The result showed that all the human resource management practices significantly effect on employee satisfaction in AERA. The results found that performance appraisal variable has the most dominant on employee satisfaction. In addition, the results showed that employee satisfaction has the positively effect on employee loyalty. In this regard, AERA Yangon should more emphasize on formulating and implementing strong performance appraisal system and policies that enable the organization strengthening employee loyalty
A Study on the Perceptions of Students on Vocational Education Training ( Case Study : Singapore Myanmar Vocational Training Institute) ( Nan Kay Thi, 2025)
Get PDFThis study examines the perceptions of Students toward Vocational Education Training in Singapore Myanmar Vocational Training Institute (SMVTI), focusing on their career development, satisfaction level, and improvement for training quality. Using a quantitative approach, structured questionnaires were administered to 110 students (selected via random sampling from a total of 152 trainees) across various vocational programs. The findings indicate strong positive perceptions, with 88% of respondents aged 18-25 viewing VET as a critical way to employment. Furthermore, the study identifies that the most significant positive factors are teaching quality and curriculum relevance which students associate with enhanced employability prospects However, the study found that stronger industry collaboration and upgraded training facilities as a few weaknesses. The study concludes that addressing these areas, Singapore-Myanmar Vocational Training Institute can better align its training programs with labor market demands, thereby ensuring long-term career success for its students
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
