No full text„Digital Storytelling mit Hund Milo“ beinhaltet neben dem digitalen Bilderbuch „Hund Milo“ (Illustration: Lena Kaufmann) auch Zusatzmaterial sowie Aufgaben zur Differenzierung. Das Bilderbuch und alle Materialien wurden für erste und zweite inklusive Klassen mit Kindern der Grundschule und des Schwerpunkts Geistige Entwicklung konzipiert. Ziel ist es, Schüler:innen im inklusiven Anfangsunterricht in multimodale Erzählmöglichkeiten der App Book Creator einzuführen (Kapitel eins und zwei), mit denen sie anschließend digital eine Geschichte weitererzählen können (Kapitel drei und vier). In Kapitel fünf wird den Schüler:innen ein mögliches Ende der Geschichte angeboten. Alle Materialien wurden mit Blick auf die oben genannten spezifischen Zielgruppen entwickelt und erprobt. Sie sind im Rahmen des BMBF-geförderten Projekts CoTeach-Arbeitspaket 4 „Medienkompetenzen in inklusiven Grundschulklassen im Bereich Digital Storytelling“ entstanden, das von Prof Dr. Sanna Pohlmann-Rother und Prof. Dr. Christoph Ratz geleitet wird
Mala tang – Alltagsstrategien ländlicher Migranten in Shanghai
No full textGegenwärtig ziehen jedes Jahr Millionen von chinesischen Wanderarbeitern vom Land in die Städte. Doch wie sieht das Alltagsleben dieser Arbeitsmigranten jenseits von Zahlen und Statistiken aus? Wer sind sie und welche sind die täglichen Strategien, mit denen sie im ungewohnten Stadtleben ihr wirtschaftliches und soziales Überleben sichern?
Auf der Basis von ethnographischem Datenmaterial geht Lena Kaufmann diesen Fragen am Beispiel eines kleinen, familienbetriebenen Straßenrestaurants in Shanghai, in dem mala tang – scharf gewürzte Nudelsuppe – hergestellt und vertrieben wird, auf den Grund. Im Fokus stehen dabei das praktische Wissen und die Fertigkeiten der untersuchten Migranten und die Frage, wie diese im täglichen Arbeitsleben zum Einsatz kommen und die konkrete Migration prägen. Ausgehend von einer „Schüssel Suppe“ wird so ein kleiner, aber dynamischer Ausschnitt aus der chinesischen Binnenmigration nachgezeichnet und ein empirischer Beitrag zu unserem Verständnis von Migrationsphänomenen geliefert. Darüber hinaus wird deutlich, dass die Untersuchung von Migration aus einer wissensorientierten Perspektive heraus es nicht nur erlaubt, der Logik und Dynamik von Migrationsprozessen ein Stück näher zu kommen, sondern andererseits auch dazu anregt, Migranten nicht als gering qualifizierte, gesichtslose Masse, sondern als Menschen mit wertvollen Qualifikationen und Fertigkeiten wahrzunehmen, die ihren Migrationsprozess aktiv mitgestalten

Interpretation and performance of three orchestral compositions by Gabriela Lena Frank: Escaramuza, Elegia Andian, and Three Latin American Dances
No full textThis work presents interpretative and performance suggestions for three of Gabriela Lena Frank’s orchestral works: Escaramuza (2010), Elegia Andina (2000), and Three Latin American Dances (2004). Frank’s compositions frequently include programmatic elements that reference other well-known compositions, and she incorporates melodies, rhythms, timbres, instrumentation, and performance techniques characteristic of her Peruvian cultural heritage. Examples of these elements are presented from a lecture recital format to demonstrate how performance practice and conducting decisions—in rehearsal and performance—can be utilized to honor the composer’s expressed intent and overcome various technical ensemble and conducting challenges. An overview of the cultural contextual elements includes Harawi and Kachampa dance structures. The author also suggests methods for presenting elements that affect the timbre and instrumental scoring specific to each work, for example the Andean Zampoña. This research provides performers with a resource to deepen their score study, and seeks to inspire more people to perform the music of Gabriela Lena Frank.D. A
