Optimization of substation installation in energy sector: Application for Eryaman region
No full textTrafo merkezi eniyilemesi, minimum maliyetle trafo merkezi kurulacak olan bölgenin talebini karşılayacak kapasitede trafo veya trafoların en uygun noktaya konumlandırılmasıdır. Eryaman bölgesinde kurulacak olan trafo merkezleri için Türkiye Elektrik İletim Anonim Şirketi (TEİAŞ)'tan veriler alınmış ve trafo merkezlerinin kurulacağı bölgelerin doğrusal bir hat üzerinde yerleşeceği varsayılmıştır. Eryaman bölgesi her biri 6 km2 olmak üzere 9 eşit sektöre bölünerek her sektörün talebini karşılayacak şekilde besleyici hat (feeder)lar yerleştirilmiştir. 9 sektörün talebini en uygun şekilde karşılayacak olan iki farklı noktaya birer trafo merkezi konumlandırılmıştır. Her trafo merkezine ait ikişer adet dönüştürücü (transformer) bulunmaktadır. 10 yıllık planlama periyodunda her dönem 2 yılı kapsayacak şekilde 5 dönem için geriye dönük bilgiler kullanılarak trafo merkezlerinin kapasiteleri, güçleri, gerilim düşümleri ve servis kesintileri hesaplanmış ve bunlar kurulan modelin kısıtları olarak kabul edilmiştir. Kurulan model aşağıdaki amaçları sağlamaya yönelik hizmet etmektedir;
- Trafo merkezlerinin planlanan zaman periyodu içerisinde minimum maliyetle en iyi kurulum noktalarını ve büyüklüğünü belirlemek,
- Trafo merkezlerinin kesintiye uğramadan sektörlerin talebini karşılamasını sağlamaktır.
Model GAMS programı ile çözülerek en iyi sonuca ulaşılmıştır. Sonuçlara göre Eryaman bölgesinin elektrik enerjisi talebini karşılamak için 50 MW kapasiteli iki adet trafo merkezi kurulmalıdır ve her sektörün talebini karşılayacak toplam 9 adet besleyici hat kablosu çekilmelidir. Modelin daha geniş çaplı sistemlerdeki uygulanabilirliğini test etmek için trafo merkezlerinin ve dönüştürücülerin sayıları ve kapasiteleri artırılmış ve ulaşılan en iyi sonucun bozulmadığı gözlemlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla kurulan model daha geniş çaplı alanlar için de geçerli ve başarılı olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.Substation optimization is positioning a substation or substations which capacity meets demand for the region in a most suitable point with minimum cost. Multiple data are collected from Turkish Electric Distribution Incorporated Company TEİAŞ for the substation which is going to be positioned in Eryaman region. The points that substations will be placed are considered linear. Eryaman region is divided into 9 equal sectors - each 6 km2 and feeders are placed to meet the demand of each sector. Two different substations are placed on two different points to meet the demand of 9 sectors. Each substation has two transformers. Using information for capacity of substations, power, voltage drops and service interruptions were calculated for 10-year planning period, divided into 5 periods from which each period is 2 years. Each used criteria represents one constraint. Established model serves for the objectives noted below;
- Determining the optimal point and size of the substations in the given planning period with minimum cost,
- Meeting the demand of the sectors without any service interruptions.
The model is solved with GAMS program and optimal results are obtained. Two substations must be installed in Eryaman region with capacity of 50 MW to meet the demand of the region. Also 9 different feeders must be placed for each region. To test the applicability of the model for larger systems, the number and capacity of the substations and transformers are increased and the obtained results do not violates optimality. It is found that the established model is also valid and successful as well
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
