A Sketch of Deleuze’s Hermeneutical Spin

The aim of this article is to sketch the procedural nature of the modus in which Deleuze reads the other philosophers. The hermeneutical problem indicated by the indecision to consider his books on different authors as an authorized interpretation or as fantasist utilization may be scattered if we understand his hermeneutical attempts both as interpretation and construction (concept or problem). In addition, this indecision affects the guild of Deleuzian exegetes in respect to the directory idea (prime author) which could point out the general strategy of his philosophy

Arterial Spin Labeling for Evaluation of Cerebral Perfusion in Patients with Small Vessel Disease // Arterial spin labeling за оценка на мозъчната перфузия при пациенти с микроангиопатия

    No full text
Cerebral small vessel disease is a condition of a great clinical and social importance – a common cause of cognitive decline, dementia, movement and psychiatric disorders. In the last years there is an increasing agreement that a key role in the condition is played by the small cerebral vessels endothelium and the blood-brain barrier. However, still there is lack of clear understanding of the condition. MRI markers of small vessel disease include: white matter hyperintensities (Leukoaraiosis), lacunes, microbleeds, dilated perivascular spaces. Arterial spin labeling gives the chance for non-invasive examination of brain perfusion and an easier way to look into brain physiology. Through ASL we reveal significant correlation between different markers of small vessel disease and global perfusion changes in the brain – a potential step in the better understanding of that process

    No full text
Our presentation deals with the analysis of Emilian Galaicu-Păun’s approach to the translation of two novels written by Michel Pastoureau “Blue: The History of a Colour”, translated in 2006 and “Black: The History of a Colour”, translated in 2012, both versions published by the “Cartier” Publishing House, where the author of the translations has been editor-in-chief for many years. Our aim is to compare the two translations of the novels that revolve round one similar nucleus: a symbolic experience of the history of Europe performed by the same author, in order to observe how Galaicu-Păun, the translator, perceives the original works from a temporal and spatial distance, as well as his inspiration that helps, Galaicu-Păun, the poet and writer, interpret them for the Romanian reader.

A novel 5-stage visual rating scale for global arterial spin labeling perfusion assessment in the brain: Simplifying evaluation for clinical implementation

    No full text
Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop and validate a visual rating scale for evaluating global arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion changes in the brain, with potential applications in a variety of conditions that impact general brain blood supply and perfusion. Methods: We employed a five-stage scale (0 being normal and 4 indicating the most severe perfusion decline) to assess 156 patients using a 3D pulsed ASL technique. Three radiologists independently reviewed the images, and inter-rater reliability of the visual rating scale was evaluated. Results: The ASL stages showed a consistent distribution among the patients. The inter-rater reliability among the three radiologists, as measured by the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC), was 0.982. Conclusion: Our findings suggest that this visual rating scale can be effectively implemented in everyday practice to evaluate global perfusion changes in the context of cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, cerebral small vessel disease, and other conditions that alter brain vascularization and perfusion. Further research is needed to explore the full range of clinical applications and to refine the scale for optimal utility

Rural Heritage and Cultural Landscape: Guidelines for Sustainable Seismic Reinforcement of Emilian Historic Rural Building in Italy

AbstractHistoric rural settlements are essential evidences of the Italian cultural heritage because they hand precious architectural, historical and environmental values. Despite its importance, this heritage is rarely protected by specific laws and a great part of these buildings are now abandoned and partially ruined, also as a consequence of the last century mechanized and intensive farming and the consequent lifestyle change. Moreover, the seismic events pose a serious threat to their preservation: indeed, despite they are located in an area - the Italian territory - with a very high seismic risk, often they don’t have any proper anti-seismic device able to prevent a serious damage, or collapse. In this work, the results of the research carried out on a significant number of historic rural buildings in the Emilian area, in Italy, are presented in order to draw up specific guidelines for their sustainable seismic reinforcement and conservation. Indeed, starting from the analysis of the peculiar features of the landscape and of the examined buildings, it's possible to recognize some recurring structures and shapes which identify as many rural architectural types, with similar structural behavior and seismic damage. Thanks to this similarity, it has been possible to set up some reliable guidelines of analysis and intervention which can constitute an easy and expeditious instrument for technicians and restorers in order to safeguard this valuable built heritage, too much neglected until now. The final aim is to evidence the extreme efficacy of a conservation strategy, which can constitute the first guarantee for a sustainable intervention on this precious cultural heritage

Economia Romaniei in perioada 2003-2010: Estimari de macromodel

The paper presents the Version 2000 of the Romanian macromodel (elaborated by the author). For the period 2003-2010, two scenarios have been elaborated. The first, named “Desirable” incorporates the main lines of the Strategy for integration of Romania into European Union. The second scenario, named “Moderate”, takes into account a slower improvement of the external competitiveness of economy. Both assume an unambiguous promotion of the structural reforms necessary for implementation of functional market mechanisms

This study analyses the problem of Germanic loanwords in Emilian dialects, by using an Ethnophilological methodology able to rebuilt plausible anthropological scenarios behind the lexical traces. After a first part about the importance of dialects as ethnolinguistic sources of prehistoric conceptions, and a second one dedicated to the problem of ‘false Germanic loanwords’, the author studies the contribution of Germanic borrowings in the magico-religious semantic field, concentrating in particular on the Persiceto Carnival, of which the Longobards origins are illustrate

Macromodel estimations for the Romanian "pre-accession economic programme

The new (2002) version"" of the "Pre-Accession Economic Programme" has to take into account both the experience accumulated in the implementation of its previous 2001) form, and the changes occurred during 2001-2002 in the domestic and international environment, which have affected the Romanian economy. Obviously, there are numerous questions that should be analysed from this perspective. The paper is covering three groups of issues. The first chapter attempts to define some reference points, which have to be considered during the updating of the Romanian "Pre-Accession Economic Programme". The contents and the main functional characteristics of the macromodel used in the simulations for this purpose are examined in the second chapter. The third chapter discusses the computational hypotheses and presents the numerical estimations for two scenarios, considered by the author as the most relevant for the period 2002-2005. Some concluding remarks close this explorative study.macromodel, forecasting
