Audio Interview with Mr. C.J. Rayner Whiteley
Audio - Mr. Whiteley recounts the story of delivering the message of the flood of 1904. He took seventeen hours by horse to travel from Perryvale to Edmonton. Billy Loutit took the same message by foot arriving in Edmonton about the same time. Mr. Whiteley discusses early settlers, farming, homesteading and businesses. He has many anecdotes about life and people living in Athabasca at the start of the twentieth century. He freighted for ten years with the Hudson's Bay Company and also discusses early farming prices and technology extensivelyInformative Interview of Mr. C.J. Kuo-2014-Genetics-Fig3
These primary data are summarized and discussed in Kuo et al., Genetics (2014).
Data in this file are from the P{wa} assay, first published in Adams et al., Science (2002), DOI: 10.1126/science.1077198 .
The first tab has counts of progeny from each vial. As in other uses of this assay, only daughters that did not recieve the transposase
chromosome (Cy+) were scored. Since the Df(3R)ED6058 chromosome has w+ on it, only progeny that recieved a Sbchromosome were scored.
f red = frequency of red-eyed flies
f yellow = frequency of yellow-eyed flies
The last tab has molecular analysis of synthesis and/or deletion in the yellow-eyed daughters. Each row represents presence (+) or absence (-)
of a PCR product in white-eyed sons of yellow-eyed progeny. Each yellow-eyed progeny came from a different vials (f numbers are Fancm,
c numbers are control). Distance of furthers primer from left or right end of the element is indicated. Primers used are listed
On the relative Kuo condition and the second relative Kuo condition
International audienceThe Kuo condition and the second Kuo condition are known as criteria for an r-jet to be V-sufficient in C-r mappings and Cr+1 mappings, respectively. In [2] we considered the notions of V-sufficiency of jets and these Kuo conditions in the relative case to a given closed set Sigma, and showed that the relative Kuo condition is a criterion for a relative r-jet to be Sigma-V-sufficient in C-r mappings and the second relative Kuo condition is a sufficient condition for a relative r-jet to be Sigma-V-sufficient in Cr+1 mappings. In this paper we discuss several conditions equivalent to the relative Kuo condition or the second relative Kuo condition. (c) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved
