Wartość odżywcza i prozdrowotna wybranych warzyw z rodzaju kapusta (Brassica L.)
The paper characterises selected vegetable species of the Brassica genus: white headed cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata f. alba), savoy cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. sabauda L.), napa cabbage ((Brassica rapa L. subsp. pekinensis), broccoli (Brassica oleracea L. var. italica), kale (Brassica oleracea L. var. sabellica L.), cauliflower (Brassica oleracea L. var. botrytis), kohlrabi (Brassica oleracea L. var. gongylodes L.), Brussels sprout (Brassica oleracea L. var. gemmifera). It describes their medicinal properties and economic importance, as well as presents their value as a resource for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Brassicas arecharacterised by high vitamin and mineral content and have various medicinal properties. They also have a high nutritional value, high antioxidative activity and health benefits. From the point of view of nutrition, brassicas are perceived as valuable in cancer prevention. It is noteworthy that kale (Brassica oleracea L. var. gongylodes L.) is characterised by significant nutritional and health benefits, yet it is not popular in Poland.Scharakteryzowano wybrane gatunki warzyw należące do rodzaju Brassica: kapusta głowiasta biała (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata f. alba), kapusta włoska (Brassica oleracea L. var. sabauda L.), kapusta pekińska (Brassica rapa L. subsp. pekinensis), brokuł(Brassica oleracea L. var. italica), jarmuż (Brassica oleracea L. var. sabellica L.), kalafior (Brassica oleracea L. var. botrytis L.), kalarepa (Brassica oleracea var. gongylodes L.), kapusta brukselska (Brassica oleracea L. var. gemmifera). Opisano prozdrowotne właściwościlecznicze, znaczenie gospodarcze, a także przedstawiono znaczenie ich jako surowca dla przemysłu spożywczego i farmaceutycznego. Warzywa kapustne charakteryzują się wysoką zawartością witamin i minerałów, zawierają wiele cennych właściwości leczniczych. Posiadają wysoką wartość odżywczą, dużą aktywność przeciwutleniajacą, a także wykazują działanie prozdrowotne. Z żywieniowego punktu widzenia warzywa należące do rodziny kapustowatych są postrzegane jako produkty o dużym znaczeniu w profilaktyce nowotworowej. Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje jarmuż (Brassica oleracea L. var. acephala), który charakteryzuje się wysokimi walorami odżywczymi i prozdrowotnymi, a jednocześnie jest warzywem mało popularnym w Polsce

Above a critical matter density the propagating modes of the neutral kaon system are essentially eigenstates of strangeness, but below it they are almost complete eigenstates of CP. We estimate the real and imaginary parts of the energies of these modes and their mixing at all densities up to nuclear matter density g/cm. In a heavy ion collision the strong interactions create eigenstates of strangeness, and these propagate adiabatically until the density has fallen to the critical value, whereupon the system undergoes a sudden transition to (near) eigenstates of CP. Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

i gospodarce. Zbadano: poziom i strukturę spożycia tłuszczów w Polsce w latach 1965-2013,
powierzchnię uprawy, zbiory i plony roślin oleistych oraz rzepaku w latach 2000-2013, bilans handlu
zagranicznego surowcami i produktami roślin oleistych w latach 2007-2013, bilans nasion rzepaku
i samowystarczalność Polski w latach 2000/2001-2012/2013. Opracowanie powstało w oparciu
o publikacje zwarte i ciągłe, informacje GUS oraz raporty IERiGŻ. Zgromadzony materiał został
opracowany za pomocą metod: porównawczej w formie horyzontalnej i wertykalnej, statystycznej,
a ocenę samowystarczalności dokonano metodą Kapusty. Badania wykazały dynamiczny rozwój
produkcji rzepaku na początku XXI w., powodowany zapotrzebowaniem na jego nasiona na cele
spożywcze i przemysłowe – głównie do produkcji biopaliw.Rape is known to grow from approx. 4 thousand. years and now takes the intensity of his
crops for food and industrial. The aim of the study was to show the significance of rape in agriculture
and the economy. Examined was: the level and structure of fat consumption in Poland in the years
1965-2013, the area of cultivation, production and yields of oilseeds and oilseed rape in the years
2000-2013, the balance of foreign trade in raw materials and oil plants in 2007-2013, the balance of
rapeseed and self-sufficiency Polish in the period 2000/2001-2012/2013. The development is based on
a compact and continuous publications, information and reports IAFE CSO. The collected material
was developed using the methods in the form of comparative horizontal and vertical analysis,
statistical analysis, and evaluation of self-sufficiency was done by Kapusta method.Studies have
shown dynamic development of rapeseed production in the early twenty-first century, caused by
demand for its seeds for food and industrial purposes - mainly for the production of biofuels

It was established specifically for urban Jewish garment workers, many of whom had emigrated from Europe. President John F. Kennedy sent a telegram to the citizens of Roosevelt, New Jersey, apologizing for not being able to attend the memorial dedication in honor of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. (Jersey Homesteads became Roosevelt in 1945 in honor of the president.) President Kennedy expressed his gratitude to the people of Roosevelt for constructing the memorial, and commented that it will serve as a constant reminder of Roosevelt's good works
Logarithmic variance profiles and the corresponding f-1 spectra of temperature fluctuations in turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection
We report experimental results for the temperature variance 2(z) and the corresponding frequency spectra P(f) in turbulent Rayleigh-Bénard convection (RBC) in a cylindrical sample of aspect ratioT= D/L = 1:00 (D = 1:12 m is the diameter and L = 1:12 m the height). The measurements were conducted in the Rayleigh-number range 1011 < Ra < 1:35 1014 and Pr ' 0:8. For Ra = 1:35x1014, 2(z) could be described well by a logarithmic dependence on the vertical position z in a range of z 1 < z < z 2 with z 1 ' 70 and z 2 = 0:1L. Here L=(2Nu) is the thickness of a thin thermal sublayer adjacent to the horizontal plate where the heat flux (denoted by the Nusselt number Nu) is carried mostly by thermal diffusion. In the log layer, we found that the temperature spectra had a significant frequency range over which P(f) f with close to 1. As Ra decreased, increased so that the log layer became thinner. At Ra = 2:05 1011, z 2 < z 1 and therefore there was no range for a log layer. Correspondingly, the temperature spectrum near the horizontal plate did not have the f1 scaling form either

Mapping the Discipline of the Olympic Games An Author-Cocitation Analysis
The authors conducted an author cocitation analysis on prominent authors writing about the Olympics during the 1990s. Author cocitation is an established bibliometric technique that can be used to measure the relative similarities of topics written about by the cited authors. This enables a visual representation of the “intellectual space” of the discipline, in this case the Olympics, to be created for the period under review. So core and peripheral research areas are identified, along with their major contributors. The representation appears as a two-dimensional cluster-enhanced map. Subject expertise was then applied to the results to place labels on the generated clusters of authors and their topics
