Margaret Breen giving a talk on Edward Irenaeus Prime-Stevenson
Photo of Margaret Breen (University of Connecticut) discussing author Edward Irenaeus Prime-Stevenson. Breen gave a talk titled “Queer Translations: Prime-Stevenson’s Imre (1906) and The Intersexes (1908) and the Emergence of Homosexual Identity”. This talk was from the event German Discovery of Sex: Medicine, Activism, Literature which took place on April 16, 2011 as part of the Henry J. Leir Chair Programming for the 2010-2011 season. Robert Tobin was the Henry J. Leir Chair from 2008 up until his passing in 2022.

Dervo, B.K., Often, A., Mjelde M. & Nygård, M. 2020. NINA Rapport 1921. Norsk institutt for naturforskning.
Dervo, B.K., Often, A., Mjelde M. & Nygård, M. 2020. Condition assessment of the oxbow lakes at Breen in the Leira-Nitelva Water Area. NINA Report 1921. Norwegian Institute for Natural Research.
This project has included an assessment of the status of the two oxbow lakes at Breen bridge in Nannestad municipality in the Leira-Nitelva water area. Aerial photos from "Norway in pictures" (norgeibilder.no) show that the oxbow lakes in Breen was already relatively overgrown in the 1970s. Physical changes in the river Leira in the 1980s and construction of the E16 in the early 2000s, led to hydrological changes in the oxbow lakes and further overgrowth. No aquatic plants were observed in any of the oxbow lakes. Both localities are characterized by a high content of nutrients. The eastern oxbow lake is also affected by road salt from E16. No red-listed plant species were found in any of the oxbow lakes. Ash (VU) was admittedly found in the forest around the oxbow lakes. Flomskogsmark (T30) is, however, in the Norwegian red list for habitat types considered vulnerable (VU). The calcareous helofytt sump (L4-3) also has the status of vulnerable (VU). The landform oxbow lakes are in the same red list assessed as near threatened (NT). Given that the succession has come a long way in the two oxbow lakes in Breen, we would not recommend to restore the water level in the oxbow lakes.. The oxbow lakes have undergone a natural development and are in its last succession phase
Letter from K. Daniel to Fr. Morrissey
Holograph letter from K. Daniel, 33 Kenilworth Square, Rathgar, Dublin, to Fr. Morrissey (Rome). Joking remarks about the high society he mixes with in Rome; having sent a bottle of whiskey for their dear friend, with Mr. Breen, a pilgrim. Stating that 'Dublin is in a ferment over the Frenchmen getting the contract for Street cleaning'. Paddy organises their going to Rome at Christmas; asking about accommodation; regards to the Dr. (Hagan)
De tafel als metafoor voor architectuur
This book is the result of an exercise at the Faculty of Architecture of Delft Technical University, The Netherlands, The task was set by the Staff of the department for Study of elementary form and composition. The theme of this exercise was 'the Table as ametaphor for architecture' which was one of the tasks in the study project entitted 'Image and materialisation'. The students developed and presented their ideas in models scale 1 to 5, In the article 'the table as an architectural object' by Jack Breen, tabledesign is reviewed in relation to the architectural design tradition. In the article 'the table of ten : aselection', Bernard OIsthoorn offers a critical analysis of the students' designs and focusses on ten selected projects, In the categories 'Modern Classics', Dynamism and a A-symmetry', 'Sculpture and Construction' and 'Devise and Building Kit' a thematic impression of the students' designs is given.Staf VormstudieArchitectur
