Creation of the supplier evaluation system in Standard AS
Lõputöö eesmärgiks oli luua Standardile korrapärane hindamissüsteem olemasolevate
tarnijate jaoks kasutades uuendatud tulemuskaarti, mis on kooskõlas ettevõtte eesmärkide
kui ka juhtpõhimõtetega. Eesmärgi jõudmiseni püstitati järgmised uurimisülesanded:
1. Uurida ettevõtte eesmärke ning juhtpõhimõtteid.
Standardi juhtpõhimõtete lähtepunktideks on kliendirahulolu pidev suurendamine,
tootearendus ning oma keskkonnamõjude vähendamine. Nende baasil on paika pandud
Standardi 2025 eesmärgid.
2. Uurida, milline on hetkel ettevõtte tarnijate hindamissüsteem.
Standardi tarnijad on kategoriseeritud vastavalt nende valdkonna järgi, kuid hindamine on
praktiliselt olematu ja subjektiivne, kuigi juhtimisraamatus on ette nähtud kord aastas
hindamine. Hindamiseks kasutatakse üldiste kirjeldustega hindamislehte, millel puuduvad
3. Teha kindlaks, millised tulemusmõõdikud sobivad tarnijate hindamiseks.
Tarne mängib olulist rolli Standardi klientide usaldusväärsuses, selleks on autor määranud
tarnija mõõdikuks tarnekindluse, et tooted jõuaksid kokkulepitud ajaks Standardi lattu ilma,
et kliendile lubatud tähtajad peaks saama kannatama. Kvaliteedi puhul jälgitakse tarnija
reklamatsioonide arvu, nende kasv viitab, et tarnija kvaliteediprotsessid on paigast ära, selleks
peab autor oluliseks hinnata tarnija ISO9001 olemasolu.
tekitavad kulusid. Lahendused peaksid olema mõlema osapoole jaoks kasulikud, kuid
4. Töötada välja korrapärane hindamissüsteem olemasolevate tarnijate jaoks.
Hindamissüsteemi jaoks tekitati ABC analüüsi 1 aasta ostusummade alusel 3 erinevat
kategooriat, määrati starteegiad tulemuslikkuse tõstmiseks ning hindamissageduse korrad.
Kategooria A: 32 võtmetarnijat, kelle ostusummad on kõige suuremad. Oluline on tugevdada
tulemuste parandamiseks. B kategooria: 42 tarnijat, ostusummad on väiksemad võrreldes A
omadega.
konkurentsieeliseid. Kasvava tähtsusega tarnijatega tuleks läbi rääkida kasumlikud
tingimused. C kategooria: 238 tarnijat, kelle ostusummad on kõige väiksemad. Nendega
hoitakse suhted üleval võimalike projektide tarbeks. Hindamine toimub kord aastas, et
säilitada koostöö.
5. Luua ettevõttele uuendatud tarnijate tulemuskaart.
Uuendatud tarnija tulemuskaart on loodud vastavalt SCOR mudelile, mille mõõdikud on
kooskõlas ettevõtte eesmärkidega ja toetavad nende saavutamist. Iga aspekti tunnus käsitleb
Standardi tulemusmõõdikut, mille jaoks on loodud vastav tarnija tulemusmõõdik.
Lõputöö eesmärk sai täidetud, mille tulemusena loodi korrapärane hindamissüsteem koos
uuendatud tulemuskaardiga olemasolevate tarnijate jaoks, mille tulemusmõõdikud toetavad
Standardi eesmärke ja juhtpõhimõtteidThe aim of the thesis was to create a regular periodic evaluation system for the Standard for
existing suppliers using an updated scorecard that is in line with the company's goals and
guiding principles. To achieve this goal, the following research tasks were set:
1. Examine the company's goals and guiding principles.
Standard’s guiding principles are the continuous improvement of customer satisfaction,
product development and reducing environmental impact. Standard goals for 2025 have been
set on these bases.
2. Examine the company’s current supplier evaluation system.
Standard’s suppliers are categorized according to their field, but the evaluation is practically
non-existent and subjective, although the management book stipulates an annual evaluation.
The evaluation is carried out using a evaluation sheet with general descriptions, which does
not have specific score ranges and metric targets. This leads to incorrect evaluation, which is
based on the experience of the purchaser with a given supplier. The results are not accurate
and suppliers are not informed of their weaknesses or suggestions for improvement.
3. Determine which performance metrics are appropriate for evaluating suppliers.
Delivery plays an important role in the reliability of Standard's customers, for which the author
has set the supplier's accuracy as a metric, so that the products reach Standard's warehouse
on time without the deadlines promised to the customer having to suffer. In the case of quality,
the number of supplier complaints is monitored, their increase indicates that the supplier's
quality processes are out of order, for which the author considers it important to assess the
supplier's ISO9001.
The aim of the Standard's flexibility is to increase process efficiency and reduce customer
delivery times, for which the author chose the initial response speed and average delivery
times as the supplier's metric, which are directly related to the Standard's production,
logistics, installation and project management.
In order to reduce costs and achieve net profit, the supplier's metric was set to reduce total
costs, the aim is to improve processes that generate costs between the company and supplier.
Solutions should be beneficial for both, the focus shouldn’t be only the purchase price.
Standard's asset metrics are related to customer payment terms and reducing DIO (Days
inventory outstanding). Ensuring positive cash flow is affected by supplier payment terms, for
which a payment terms metric has been assigned to suppliers to avoid short terms. DIO
reduction is also affected by suppliers' average delivery times, in case of longer delivery times,
Standard has to purchase products in advance so that they are immediately available, but if
they are not immediately sold, storage costs increase and money is sitting in inventory.
Environmental Standard's metrics are CO2 reduction in scope 1 and 2, supplier metrics are
related to greenhouse gases and energy used to get an overview of their environmental
impact. During the Standard green audit, scope 3 emissions were not mapped, therefore, a
framework for their reduction cannot be assigned to suppliers.
Social indicators of suppliers include employee training and workplace accidents, and their
analysis provides the Standard with an overview of how important the supplier's employees'
well-being and development are. A high level of training and occupational safety increases the
level of service provided by employees and their trust in the supplier.
4. Develop a regular evaluation system for existing suppliers.
For the evaluation system, 3 different categories were created based on 1 year of ABC analysis
purchase amounts, strategies were determined to increase performance, and the evaluation
frequency was determined.
Category A: 32 key suppliers, whose purchase amounts are the largest. It is important to
strengthen partnerships and negotiate terms to ensure mutual profitability. The evaluation
was assigned once a quarter to regularly share feedback and suggestions for improving
results. Category B: 42 suppliers, purchase amounts are smaller compared to those of A. The
evaluation was assigned every 6 months to analyze the increase or decrease in importance
and competitive advantages. Profitable terms should be negotiated with suppliers of increasing
importance. Category C: 238 suppliers, whose purchase amounts are the smallest.
Relationships with them are maintained for possible projects. The evaluation is performed
once a year to maintain cooperation.
5. Create an updated supplier scorecard for the company.
The updated supplier scorecard is created according to the SCOR model, with metrics that are
aligned with the company's goals. Each aspect attribute addresses Standard's goal for which
the corresponding supplier performance metric has been created.
The objective of the thesis was achived, resulting in the creation of a regular evaluation system
with an updated scorecard for existing suppliers, the performance metrics of which support
the goals and guiding principles of Standard
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist
We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

Author Under Sail The Imagination of Jack London, 1893-1902
In Author Under Sail, Jay Williams offers the first complete literary biography of Jack London as a professional writer engaged in the labor of writing. It examines the authorial imagination in London's work, the use of imagination in both his fiction and nonfiction, and the ways he defined imagination in the creative process in his business dealings with his publishers, editors, and agents. In this first volume of a two-volume biography, Williams traverses the years 1893 to 1902, from London's "Story of a Typhoon" to The People of the Abyss. The Jack London who emerges in the pages of Author Under Sail is a writer whose partnership with publishers, most notably his productive alliance with George Brett of Macmillan, was one of the most formative in American literary history. London pioneered many author models during the heyday of realism and naturalism, blurring the boundaries of these popular genres by focusing on absorption and theatricality and the representation of the seen and unseen. London created an impassioned, sincere, and extremely personal realism unlike that of other American writers of the time. Author Under Sail is a literary tour de force that reveals the full range of London as writer, creative citizen, and entrepreneur at the same time it sheds light on the maverick side of machine-age literature.Intro -- Title Page -- Copyright Page -- Dedication -- Contents -- Acknowledgments -- Introduction -- 1.
