Perceptions of Health Sciences Students of an Introductory Interprofessional Education Course
Abstract
Date Presented 4/1/2017
Interprofessional education allows for effective collaborative practice by educating health care professionals to work together to produce patient-centered care. As health care moves to a team approach, it is important for higher education to prepare students before they enter the clinical environment.

The position of Vang church, alias Wang Temple (Karpacz, Poland), in Norwegian stave church literature
The author presents shortly the history of Vang stave church
from Valdres, now situated in Karpacz (Poland), the only Norwegian stave
church to be found outside the Norwegian borders. The aim of the paper
has been to examine critically the place of Vang church in stave church
literature over the last 150 years. The paper also includes a complete bibliography
of the church

A grant proposal to promote mental health through a mindfulness implementation for an under-resourced rural school district
The Covid-19 pandemic impeded every aspect of life in the United States and pushed the healthcare system to its limit. The mandatory closure of schools across the country took a toll on children's mental health and their academic performance. The purpose of this project was to work with the school clinician who oversees all schools in the Hilmar Unified School District to develop a grant proposal that will be used to fund a mindfulness intervention to support elementary students' mental well-being and increase their academic success. The creation of a grant proposal was intended to fund a mindfulness curriculum for a rural school district located in Hilmar, CA. In collaboration with the school clinician, it was determined that there was a need for mindfulness intervention due to the effects of Covid. It was identified that a mindfulness curriculum implementation for Hilmar Unified School District can be a way to support students and their overall well-being. A grant proposal was created for the purpose of securing funding to implement a mindfulness curriculum for a rural school district to help their students increase their academic success after a year and a half of distance learning due to the effects of Covid
Frizzled-Induced Van Gogh Phosphorylation by CK1ε Promotes Asymmetric Localization of Core PCP Factors in Drosophila
SummaryEpithelial tissues are polarized along two axes. In addition to apical-basal polarity, they are often polarized within the plane of the epithelium, so-called Planar Cell Polarity (PCP). PCP depends upon Wnt/Frizzled (Fz) signaling factors, including Fz itself and Van Gogh (Vang/Vangl). We sought to understand how Vang interaction with other core PCP factors affects Vang function. We find that Fz induces Vang phosphorylation in a cell-autonomous manner. Vang phosphorylation occurs on conserved N-terminal serine/threonine residues, is mediated by CK1ε/Dco, and is critical for polarized membrane localization of Vang and other PCP proteins. This regulatory mechanism does not require Fz signaling through Dishevelled and thus represents a cell-autonomous upstream interaction between Fz and Vang. Furthermore, this signaling event appears to be related to Wnt5a-mediated Vangl2 phosphorylation during mouse limb patterning and may thus be a general mechanism underlying Wnt-regulated PCP establishment
Initial Results From Deployment of the New School Model VNEN Project in Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City
The new school model developed by the GPE-VNEN project has been experimented in several pilot localities by the Ministry of Education and Training since 2011-2012 academic year. This model meets the educational goal, translates theory into reality, attaches learning with practice, and creates a better school family and community connections. It has initially been applied effectively in localities across the country and has proved to be satisfied the fundamental renovation and comprehensive innovation in the Education. It is necessary to study how the model has been impplemented in Hoa Vang District - Danang City so that the model could be improved and replicated efficiently in Da Nang city. In this article, the author discussed two main issues: the model deployment in Hoa Vang in reality, and proposals for effective implemetation of the model in Danang city
Organization of the News Industry, The Case of 'Making-or-Buying' Article s
In this paper the two canonical theories of the firm - transaction costs economics and the knowledge-based view of the firm - predictions on 'make-or-buy' are tested on the news industry. The news industry provides an interesting case on which to test the two theories since it is characterized by a high degree of urgency. Urgency refers to the need to catch and process inputs fast. A tendency that is becoming more widespread in other industries where the production cycle tends to be reduced. The test is don on original data on the newspaper industry collected by the author. The conclusions drawn are that that newspapers are organized differently than is predicted from the knowledge-based view of the firm and transaction cost economics. The newspapers do no specialize in core competencies measured in terms of topics covered. On the contrary, a precondition for outsourcing is well-developed competencies in house. The widespread use of integration cannot either be explained as a solution to hold up either, such as transaction cost economics predicts. The reason behind has to be sought in urgency.

Développement économique et relations interethniques dans deux villages du nord du bassin de Vang Vieng au Laos. Ban Phatang (village lao) et Ban Somsavath (village yao)
While, in the past, the population of the Yao village of Ban Somsavath used to live in mountain villages and the Lao population of Ban Phatang in the valley, both villages are now part of the economic development dynamics that characterizes the Vang Vieng basin in the Lao PDR. As a result, the long lasting economic and social relationship between the populations of the two villages has evolved, striking a new balance between friendship, complementarity and competition. In this paper, after discussing the political reasons for the establishment of Ban Phatang in the valley, the author defines the respective economic development strategies of the two villages and studies the present evolution of their enduring inter-ethnic relations.
Applied SciencesElectrotechniekAutomatische Verkeerssysteme
