Lim-inf convergence and its compactness
No full textAbstract- We describe the Mizar formalization of the proof of compactness of lim-inf convergence given in [W33] according to [CCL]. Lim-inf convergence formalized in [W28] is a Moore-Smith convergence investigated in [Y6] and involves the concept of nets. The proof is based on the equivalence of two approaches to convergence in topological spaces: filter convergence and Moore-Smith (net) convergence. The equivalence is worked out in [Y19] and different characterizations of compactness are also given there. These efforts are a continuation of the international project of formalizing the theory of continuous lattices headed by the first author

A Case Study on BHL Bank at the Cross Roads
No full text'In 27 July 1997, " Thailand market crashes" this was quoted in the New
Straits Times. The paper reported that the crash in 1JJaiJand has ca.used panic to
foreign fund managers in the ASEAN region. Paul Sager, one of the Investment
Manager ca/ls, Datuk Goh requesting some insight as to the recent turmoil happening
in the region. "We are getting jittery and the sentiment seems to be fear of a domino
effect on the local KLSE" said Paul. "There were reports by large hedge fund managers
speculating that there are fundamental weakness in ASEAN and Malaysian economy"
adds Paul. Datuk Goh asked Paul's opinion how he and the rest of the fund manager
view the Malaysian economy. Paul Sager indicated that the region would be heading
for a tough time as the foreign investment community feels there are fundamental
weakness especially in the financial system which have yet to be rectified. There were
heavy selling on Malaysian currency causing the exchange rates to be devalued by at
least 60% as concerns on the Malaysian property sector bursting. There are worries of
the Malaysian economy overheating" explains Paul. Paul suggested to Datuk Goh
whether he has any plans to to cope with the impending pressures.
1JJe next morning on the 28 July 1997, Datuk called for an emergency Board meeting
to discuss on the report he receives. Datuk Goh was especially interested with the
figures relating to the loans made to large conglomerates, which have heavy interests
in properties. He also wanted to know the actual loans made and the details of the any substantial project the banks are involved directly or jointly finance.
Neoh Choo Kean the General Manager of the Bank, reported that BHl Bank has no
large loans more than 10 million exposures to any one corporate and they have always
finance projects that are near Klang Valley and Urban 81'Cas. Datuk Goh was also
interested in the exposure on sh81'C financing. Datuk directed Mr. Neoh to cut down on
the lending and imposed on other forms of collateral.

Therefore, the author want to discuss about this issue with expectation to know of factors that cause the failure religious building in majelis ta’lim especially in Natar, so to know activities that required to done so as really became alternative for central of Islamic education. This research is quantitative research with collecting data from majelis ta’lim which became this research object. The collecting data is done with instruments: as observation, interview, and documentation. From this research, we can know that style and methode is done by the teacher is principal key to success in majelis ta’lim. Therefore, the inovation is required in majelis ta’lim activities so that can interest of more pilgrims and make him the alternative for central of Islamic education
Interactions between LHX3-And ISL1-family LIM-homeodomain transcription factors are conserved in Caenorhabditis elegans

LIM-Homeodomain (LIM-HD) transcription factors are highly conserved in animals where they are thought to act in a transcriptional 'LIM code' that specifies cell types, particularly in the central nervous system. In chick and mammals the interaction between two LIM-HD proteins, LHX3 and Islet1 (ISL1), is essential for the development of motor neurons. Using yeast two-hybrid analysis we showed that the Caenorhabditis elegans orthologs of LHX3 and ISL1, CEH-14 and LIM-7 can physically interact. Structural characterisation of a complex comprising the LIM domains from CEH-14 and a LIM-interaction domain from LIM-7 showed that these nematode proteins assemble to form a structure that closely resembles that of their vertebrate counterparts. However, mutagenic analysis across the interface indicates some differences in the mechanisms of binding. We also demonstrate, using fluorescent reporter constructs, that the two C. elegans proteins are co-expressed in a small subset of neurons. These data show that the propensity for LHX3 and Islet proteins to interact is conserved from C. elegans to mammals, raising the possibility that orthologous cell specific LIM-HD-containing transcription factor complexes play similar roles in the development of neuronal cells across diverse species
