    No full text
Taking its cue from a trial which took place in Siena towards the end of the 1500s, this article analyzes the inquisitorial and censorial history of Giovanni Antonio Pantera’s Monarchia di Christo (Venice, 1545). This work, which was subsequently reprinted several times, contained a biblical narrative freely inspired by the Apocalyse of St. John, at the centre of which was the prophecy about a joyful millennium characterized by the end of all wars, all domineering aspirations and all religious intolerance. The author discusses the context and the reasons that led to this book becoming the target of inquisitors and censors between the end of the 1500s and the early 1600

In the present research we approach the study of the engravings who illustrate the book of the Jesuit Pascasio Fernández de Seguín, Galicia Reyno de Christo Sacramentado, printed in the viceregal capital by María de Rivera, in 1750.
