Influencia de la desestructuración familiar en el ajuste psicosocial del adolescente

Facultad de Ciencias SocialesEste estudio está enfocado en cómo afecta crecer en una familia desestructurada al desarrollo psicosocial de los/las adolescentes y cómo esto puede llegar a impactar en la adultez. Tras esta investigación se ha especificado que, en este tipo de entornos, los y las adolescentes pueden presentar más dificultades a la hora de relacionarse con sus iguales, gestionar sus emociones, construir su identidad o sentirse seguros/as de sí mismos. Para profundizar acerca de esta realidad, se ha realizado una investigación cualitativa donde se han llevado a cabo entrevistas semiestructuradas con personas que vivieron en este tipo de entornos y un grupo de discusión con profesionales del ámbito social, educativo y psicológico. A partir de dichas entrevistas se han identificado aspectos comunes como la falta de afecto, problemas de comunicación parental, estilos de crianza desequilibrados y escasa gestión emocional. La investigación muestra que estas experiencias pueden tener consecuencias significativas en la autoestima, en las relaciones sociales, el rendimiento escolar y las formas de afrontamiento de las dificultades. Aunque también se ha podido observar que con el tiempo y el apoyo necesario, se puede lograr desarrollar en la adultez estrategias

In addition, the machine learning community is also paying attention to Random Forests (RFs) since they defy the interpretability-accuracy tradeoff. Most RFs strategies are based on univariate measures, a fact that may limit the capability of identifying the interaction among more than two features. In order to overcome this problem many multivariate approaches have been proposed. However, most of them are based on finding linear or non-linear combinations of features. In this work, we propose a novel univariate RF strategy that builds DTs using the Multivariate Symmetrical Uncertainty (MSU) measure as splitting criterion. The proposal, referred to as RFMSU, was tested on high-dimensional datasets and compared to state-of-the-art univariate and multivariate DTs and RFs classifiers. Results suggest that RFMSU is capable of finding simpler rules than other RFs approaches while keeping a high predictive power equivalent to that of multivariate approaches. The DT strategies considered obtained simpler models than RFMSU, but at the expense of degrading the classifier. A sustainable career path for cancer survivors returning to work: New theorising from an inductive qualitative case study
No full textPurpose: This study aims to understand the workplace challenges cancer survivors face when
they return to work, and to analyse what human resources management (HRM) professionals
and line managers can do to protect and motivate these survivors. This article opens with a
review of the literature on cancer survivors and work, from an HRM perspective.
Design/method/approach: A qualitative case study approach is adopted to understand the
experiences of and challenges faced by cancer survivors returning to work and human resource
(HR) managers’ actions to address these challenges.
Findings: This study enhances HRM theory on cancer survivors returning to work by proposing
a menu of suitable HRM practices. The article also highlights how acknowledging cancer
survivors’ talents and introducing an integration and learning perspective in organisations on
how to manage this vulnerable group may reinforce an employment relationship of mutual
investment aimed at sustainability. In addition, this study offers a sustainable career model for
cancer survivors.
Originality: The outcomes of this research are translated into a set of sustainable HRM
practices for cancer survivors (HR planning, job design, career development, compensation,
performance evaluation, and training), and guidance in the form of proposals for management

Revisión sistemática de las intervenciones para reducir la soledad no deseada en personas mayores
No full textLa soledad no deseada en la vejez se ha convertido en una cuestión de gran magnitud, alcanzando niveles comparables a una epidemia según datos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud. En este contexto, la identificación y análisis de intervenciones eficaces se ha consolidado como una línea de investigación prioritaria en el ámbito de las ciencias sociales.
El propósito de este trabajo ha sido llevar a cabo una revisión sistemática de intervenciones orientadas a reducir la soledad en personas mayores, priorizando aquellas que presentan un enfoque metodológico riguroso y una evaluación eficaz. Para ello, se empleó la metodología PRISMA, lo que permitió identificar inicialmente 554 documentos en bases de datos como DIALNET, GOOGLE SCHOLAR,SCOPUS, PUBMED y WORLDCAT. Posteriormente, se eliminaron los duplicados, se acotó la búsqueda a publicaciones comprendidas entre los años 2014 y 2024, se seleccionaron únicamente artículos con texto completo disponibles en inglés o español, y se descartaron aquellos que no cumplían con criterios de calidad metodológica y evaluativa. Como resultado, se redujo la muestra a 27 estudios, de los cuales finalmente se seleccionaron nueve para ser incluidos en el análisis de resultados.
Aunque existe una amplia variedad de estrategias dirigidas a mitigar la soledad y el aislamiento en la población mayor, los programas que ofrecen evidencia científica sólida siguen siendo escasos o limitados, debido a la presencia de metodologías incompletas y carencias en la evaluación de resultados.
Las intervenciones seleccionadas evidencian su efectividad en el abordaje de la soledad no deseada a través de propuestas grupales centradas principalmente en la práctica de actividades físicas, el uso de nuevas tecnologías, la intervención comunitaria, el voluntariado, la promoción de la interacción social y la participación en actividades colectivas.

Revenue sharing at music streaming platforms
No full textWe study the problem of sharing the revenues raised from subscriptions to music streaming platforms among content providers. We provide direct, axiomatic, and game-theoretical foundations for two focal (and somewhat polar) methods widely used in practice: pro rata and user centric. The former rewards artists proportionally to their number of total streams. With the latter, each user’s subscription fee is proportionally divided among the artists streamed by that user. We also provide foundations for two families of methods addressing the rising concern in the music industry to explore new streaming models that better align the interests of artists, fans, and streaming services. One of the families offers a natural compromise between the pro rata and user-centric methods. The other family generalizes the user-centric method while capturing various formalizations of incentives for artists and users.Universidad Pablo de Olavid
