Poetry of Simon Jenko in the fourth and fifth class of primary school
No full textSimon Jenko, a poet and storyteller - also called the poet of Sorško polje - is one of the most important poets in the period between France Prešeren and literary modernism in Slovenia. The main goal of my dissertation was to get to know his life and to present his poetry in the second educational period. I was interested in children's reactions that I got during my teaching in class and through pupils' written tasks. I have also established the representation of the poet in the syllabus, school readers and school reading. I have found goals in the syllabus that can be realised with the use of the song Po slovesu.
In the first chapter I presented Jenko`s life and work in detail. Furthermore, I described the literary period in which he was creating and its characteristics that can be seen in the poet's works. I defined the concepts of poetry, narrative prose and young adult poetry in detail. Stages of school poetry interpretation and principles of literary communication in the class were listed and described as well. In the empirical part I dealt with the song Po slovesu in the fourth and fifth class of primary school. In this dissertation I also included a lesson plan and the analysis of work in the class. I have come to the conclusion, that the poet is not represented in the syllabus, school readers and school reading, but the children accepted him well, as a local author

Mikromega de Simon Jenko y el juego de cajas chinas de la antiutopía
No full textA la fecha se cumplen ya 170 de la publicación del relato Mikromega en el territorio esloveno durante siglo XIX, por lo que resulta factible reflexionar sobre este texto y la impronta que tiene frente a la idea de nación en este pueblo eslavo. Ahora bien, no es posible abordar el trabajo de Simon Jenko sin pensarlo en relación directa al pensador francés Voltaire, quien escribió una primera versión del relato casi un siglo antes. El Micromegas de Voltaire representa un trabajo con elementos satíricos, donde hay un juego que se asienta sobre la desproporción y funciona como una parodia de la sociedad en que vive el autor francés. Los elementos que lo componen nos hacen pensar en una utopía o, mejor dicho, e una antiutopia. Esta definición se toma desde la perspectiva de Vita Fortunati quien la plantea desde el mundo del revés, donde todo se vuelve absurdo; la parodia como juego intertextual y; la cuestión en base a la óptica (contraposición <<pequeño/enorme>>). Ante esto, la propuesta es reflexionar el proyecto –anti-utópico voltairano para así poder pensar mejor el por qué y la importancia en el texto de Jenko. El presente trabajo busca analizar la figura de utopía en la obra de Voltaire, su función y una idea presente en el Cándido (1759) acerca del <<deber cultivar nuestro jardín>>. Para comprender esto, se va a pensar tanto en la utopía como en la distopia (o sea, pensar los errores de la sociedad para así alcanzar una que sea idea, o mostrar el rumbo que no se ha de seguir para no caer en un fin catastrófico) para llegar a la figura de antiutopia en que se puede inscribir Micromegas. Para poder contextualizar la obra y la forma de abordar lo utópico, se van a tener en cuenta las ideas de Leibniz y el paso del optimismo a la desilusión. Cien años después, Simon Jenko (re)escribe su versión de este relato, en un clima de nuevas naciones, de revoluciones recientes y de una desilusión que se siente en Europa. Con el romanticismo y la idea idílica de nación quedando atrás tras las revoluciones, hay que contraponer las dos versiones del Micromegas para entenderlos en su contexto y cómo funcionan dentro de una misma lógica en medio de un proyecto utópico, como cajas chinas
