Tyler Jamison, PhD, UNH Human Development and Family Studies
Today’s guest is my colleague Dr. Tyler Jamison, associate professor of Human Development and Family studies here at the University of New Hampshire. Tyler is an expert in the field of young adult romantic relationships. I asked Tyler to join me today because romantic relationships are an important part of health and leading a meaningful and fulfilling life.
In this podcast we talk about how Tyler came to study emerging adults and romantic relationships, what emerging adulthood is, and ultimately how leaders should understand that emerging adults have unique needs particular to their life-stage

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Waterway health and stormwater management at Jamison Creek, Blue Mountains
Blue Mountains City Council and WaterNSW rate Jamison Creek in Wentworth Falls as a high-priority subcatchment for stormwater management, recognising the waterway’s many environmental, cultural and social values and the threats posed to the creek by urban runoff. This vulnerability was highlighted in 2012, when a stormwater-borne pesticide killed over a thousand Giant Spiny Crayfish and many thousands of other invertebrates. Recovery of crayfish and the wider macroinvertebrate community has been remarkable, however many threats to the creek remain. Council’s regular monitoring of water quality and aquatic macroinvertebrates from 2008 to 2020 produced variable results, with evidence of ongoing disturbance-recovery cycles at the three creek sites sampled. In addition to pollution during this period, a drought and a major flood have also impacted the creek. The Jamison Catchment Streets to Creeks Project (2015-2019) worked to protect Wentworth Falls Lake and Jamison Creek from stormwater. With funding from WaterNSW, council constructed twelve stormwater biofiltration systems, to remove pollutants and increase groundwater recharge. While the biofilters are achieving promising site-by-site results, on their own they don’t constitute a whole-ofcatchment solution. For genuine transformation, additional holistic approaches are needed, in line with council’s Water Sensitive Blue Mountains Strategic Plan. A high priority is to harvest and use stormwater and rainwater on private and public properties, effectively reducing impervious area, while providing a suite of community benefits

O DIÁLOGO DAS ARTES: A POESIA DE HELOÍSA PRAZERES E A FOTOGRAFIA DE JAMISON PEDRA
ABSTRACT: The different artistic forms can be associated, intertwining with the set of imaginaries that make up the subject's consciousness, its intellectual content and its mnemonic references. Among these arts, poetry and photography often intersect in the creative experience of the authors. My main goal was to to demonstrate the approximations and correspondences between the poetry of Heloísa Prazeres and the photography of Jamison Pedra. For that, I compared poems and photos inserted in their books, to identify points of convergence of meanings that they shared as artistic representations. I observed that the poems and photographs established, in an integrated and interrelated way, a bundle of plural imagery readings, representing journeys, records, passages, projections, decipherings. Heloísa Prazeres performed the poiesis of the images she captured on her travels. Meanwhile, Jamison Pedra represented the aesthetic record of the images, cutting them from the empirical universe and covering them with a _poiesis_ of photography, in black and white, as an art object.
