PRICE REPORTING in A THIN MARKET
Citation: Ajewole, K., Schroeder, T. C., & Parcell, J. (2016). PRICE REPORTING in A THIN MARKET. Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics, 48(4), 345-365. doi:10.1017/aae.2016.19Thin markets create challenges for reporting market information by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and for users of the information. This study examines distributions of transactions comprising daily price reports in the U.S. hog market. We determine publicly reported daily prices are sensitive to which packing plants buy hogs. Transaction prices comprising USDA Agricultural Marketing Service price reports are not normally distributed; care must be taken in reporting and interpreting transaction prices. Economically important variations in prices occur because of packer-specific indicators. Daily reported prices are used as base prices in marketing agreements, making variation of even greater importance. Copyright © The Author(s) 2016
A framework for proving the correctness of cryptographic protocol properties by linear temporal logic
In this paper, a framework for cryptographic protocol analysis using linear temporal logic is proposed. The framework can be used to specify and analyse security protocols. It aims to investigate and analyse the security protocols properties that are secure or have any flaws. The framework extends the linear temporal logic by including the knowledge of participants in each status that may change over the time. It includes two main parts, the Language of Temporal Logic (LTL) and the domain knowledge. The ability of the framework is demonstrated by analysing the Needham-Schroeder public key protocol and the Andrew Secure RPC protocol as examples

Effect of Volcanic Aerosol on Atmosphere Aerosol Properties
Title: Effect of Volcanic Aerosol on Atmospheric Aerosol Properties, Author: Ronald Schroeder, Location: ThodeAerosol particle size and mass were estimated from spectral aerosol optical depths. Optical depths were calculated from sunphotometer measurements before and after the eruption of El Chichón in 1982. Although aerosol parameters varied considerably with synoptic conditions, an increase in aerosol size and mass after the eruption was evident.ThesisBachelor of Arts (BA
Some Results on the Schroeder–Bernstein Property for Separable Banach Spaces
AbstractWe construct a continuum of mutually non-isomorphic separable Banach spaces which are complemented in each other. Consequently, the Schroeder–Bernstein Index of any of these spaces is 2ℵ0. Our construction is based on a Banach space introduced by W. T. Gowers and B. Maurey in 1997. We also use classical descriptive set theory methods, as in some work of the first author and C. Rosendal, to improve some results of P. G. Casazza and of N. J. Kalton on the Schroeder–Bernstein Property for spaces with an unconditional finite-dimensional Schauder decomposition.</jats:p
ReInventing The University: Literacies and Legitimacy in the Postmodern Academy
Schroeder argues that, for students, postmodern instability in literacy and meaning has become a question of the legitimacy of current discourse of education. Schroeder is committed, then, to constructing literacies jointly with students and by so doing to bringing students to engage more deeply with education and society. To accomplish this, of course, he must advocate rebalancing instruction to a more radically student-centered curriculum. This does not mean he abandons traditional discourse or traditional practice in the classroom; rather, tradition becomes only one voice among many in the classroom, instead of being the dominating one. ReInventing the University is an extended discussion of why Schroeder feels this is necessary, how he tries to construct literacies that have legitimacy with students, and what his experiences could mean for classrooms, departments, and disciplines.https://digitalcommons.usu.edu/usupress_pubs/1128/thumbnail.jp
