ABSTRACT: Out of 850 total prisoners of district jail, Rahim Yar Khan, 100 were selected at random and examined for prevalence of HIV. Apart from HIV screening, data was collected about different diseases, narcotics use, occupations, reasons for imprisonment, ages and marital status of the prisoners through a questionnaire. None of these prisoners was suffering from HIV, the results regarding narcotics habits showed that 3% of the prisoners were used to bhang, 4% took heroin, 5% were using snuff, 34% cigarette smokers and 54% were not taking any narcotics. Nineteen percent of the prisoners suffered from various diseases like asthma, allergy, chest infection, hernia, heart problem, jaundice, lung infection, ulcer, weakness, typhoid and gastric problems whereas 81% were healthy
Development of nano carbon and conducting polymers based ternary composites for supercapattery / Javed Iqbal
Although significant efforts have been devoted on the development of energy storage systems such as batteries and fuel cells in the past decades, the low power density, short cyclic life and high maintenance cost have kept them away from many applications. Alternatively, supercapattery which has the characteristic features of batteries as well as supercapacitors has gained much attention because of its rapid charge/discharge mechanism, long life cycle, and high power density. However, supercapattery generally suffers from poor energy density. This research aims to develop carbon and conducting polymers based ternary nanocomposites for high performance supercapattery. Pristine metal oxide nanostructures suffer from high particle aggregations which lead to decrease the electrochemically active sites, therefore, conducting matrices are used to develop the nanocomposites. In this work, hydrothermal route was used to develop ternary nanocomposites of metal oxide (cobalt oxide, Co3O4), noble metals (silver (Ag) and gold (Au)) and carbonaceous matrices such as multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as well as conducting polymers such as polypyrrole (PPy) and polyaniline (PANI). The synthesized ternary nanocomposites were characterized by various analytical techniques. The electrochemical performances were studied through cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques. In the first system, ternary nanocomposites of multiwalled carbon nanotubes intercalated with cobalt oxide nanograins and decorated with silver nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized and used for supercapattery application. The fabricated device Ag/Co3O4@MWCNTs//activated carbon (AC) delivered maximum energy and power density values of 16.50 Wh kg-1 and 297.50 W kg-1, respectively. In the second system, gold nanoparticles were used instead of silver to synthesize the ternary nanocomposite (Au/Co3O4@MWCNTs) to check the effect on the device performance by changing the noble metal. The supercapattery device demonstrated splendid cycling stability with a retention value of 91.90 % in 1 M KOH (potassium hydroxide) electrolyte for over 3500 cycles with an energy density of 18.80 Wh kg-1 at a power density of 302.00 W kg-1. In the third system, ternary nanocomposite was synthesized with rGO instead of MWCNTs and evaluated its (Ag/Co3O4@rGO) performance as positive electrode material in supercapattery. The assembled devices found to deliver the highest energy density 23.63 Wh kg-1 at a power density of 440.00 W kg-1. In the fourth system, polypyrrole was used as a conducting platform to synthesize the ternary nanocomposite and subsequently used to develop two electrodes assembly (Ag/Co3O4@PPy//AC). The resultant device achieved the maximum energy density of 24.79 Wh kg-1 with the corresponding power density, 554.40 W kg-1. In the fifth system, polypyrrole was replaced with polyaniline to develop ternary nanocomposite, i.e., Ag/Co3O4@PANI. The fabricated device (Ag/Co3O4@PANI//AC) based on ternary nanocomposite deliver energy density and power density, 14.01 Wh kg-1 and 165.00 W kg-1, respectively. From the obtained results, it can be understood that all the five systems incorporated with carbonaceous matrices and conducting polymers as a conducting platform produced excellent results. This work ventures the frontiers of carbonaceous materials and conducting polymers based ternary nanocomposites for energy storage devices
Requirements engineering practices model for software development outsourcing issues / Javed Iqbal
Software Development Outsourcing (SDO) has become a common practice due to its reported benefits like cost reduction, process improvement, and dealing with a lack of required skills. The trend for outsourcing the software development projects is growing day by day. However, a considerable proportion of such outsourcing projects fails to materialize the anticipated benefits. The reasons for the failure are often traced back to the Requirements Engineering (RE) process. This establishes the importance of the RE for SDO. The geographical dispersion of the stakeholders is the basic source of issues during the RE process for SDO. The delayed responses, unawareness from the effects of new system implementation, poorly defined requirements, and incomplete requirements are some of such important issues. The primary focus of this research work is to develop and evaluate the sets of the best RE practices to address the frequently or commonly occurring issues of the SDO RE process. Therefore, issues of the RE process for SDO and relevant RE practices to address those issues have been identified from the literature. To incorporate the industrial perspective, SDO practitioners have been solicited for reporting the additional issues and relevant RE practices to address the issues. Then, frequently occurring issues have been extracted, ranked, the root causes for those issues have been identified, sets of the best RE practices have been recommended to address the corresponding issues and have been evaluated. The sets of the best RE practices are referred to as Requirements Engineering Practices (REP) Model.
To accomplish the research objectives, an extensive Systematic Literature Review has been performed and questionnaire-based surveys have been conducted with the SDO practitioners. The Delphi method has been employed to develop a consensus among the practitioners. By applying the Delphi method and the Cut-off value method, frequently occurring issues have been filtered out and ranked. The Root Cause Analysis has been performed to discover the root causes for frequently occurring issues and for recommending the relevant RE practices to address those issues. The REP Model is evaluated from: i) The academic point of view through the expert panel of 3 researchers and academicians, ii) The industrial perspective through 11 experienced SDO practitioners. Three criteria for evaluation from the academic point of view are: i) Completeness, ii) Practicality, and iii) Usefulness. The criterion for the industrial evaluation is ‘usefulness of the recommended RE practice(s) to address the corresponding issue of the RE process for SDO in the case of the respective root cause’. The REP Model presents frequently occurring issues of the SDO RE process, provides the Category-wise and the Overall ranking of those issues, ranks the categories of the issues, specifies the root causes for those issues and hence maps the issues to the root causes and the relevant best RE practices to address the respective issues. Thus, the REP Model supports the RE process for SDO, and helps to avoid the adoption of random and ad-hoc RE practices for dealing with the common issues of this process

Dr. Javed Iqbal. This book contains seventeen articles.This book was
published by Iqbal Academy in 1994. According to Dr. Javed Iqbal, during
the tenure of General Zia ul Haq, PTV recorded fifteen lectures from him,
which were telecast on TV throughout the year. When Dr. Javed Iqbal
became a Senator, instead of sitting idle in the Senate session, he decided
to compile a book containing these lectures. This book became very
popular after its publication. It has also been translated into Persian. In
this work, various aspects of Iqbal,s concept "Khudi" have been
explained. In this research article , these aspects of Iqbal,s cocept of

Coal Ash Bentonite Mixture as Landfill Liner
Landfills are highly engineering containment systems, designed to minimize the impact of soiled waste on the environment and human health. In case of economically developing countries the design of a liner varies, that depends upon number of factors such as potential of the landfill polluting the land and water environments, the local hydrogeology and meteorology, and the availability of suitable materials and monetary resourced. Landfill is a land disposal site for waste and its Preparation, management and control must be of the highest standard to minimize the risks to human health and the environment. Well constructed and maintained landfills are safer than open dumping sites. Landfill liners are exposed to various types of physical, chemical and biological processes which gets affected by leach ate produced from the decomposition of waste dumps. The aim is to avoid any hydraulic connection between the wastes and the surrounding environment, particularly groundwater. To ensure this, the important characteristics for compacted landfill liners are selection of materials, hydraulic conductivity, strength, compressibility and contaminant retention capacity. Compacted clay liners are of low cost, large leach ate attenuation capacity and resistance to damage. Natural clay is often fractured and cracked and due to non availability of suitable soil at a site, it is necessary to mix imported clay materials with industrial wastes to achieve a suitable material. Usually soil, which is rich in clay minerals is used for compacted liner materials. But instead of clay, mixture of expansive soil such as bentonite with fly ash can be used as compacted liner materials for their low hydraulic conductivity which is required to be less than 1.00×10^ 7 cm sec. Bentonite was mixed with fly ash in 2,4 8,12,16, and 20 by dry weight. Is the Woman Fragile?: A Comparative Study of Pakistani Primetime Dramas Khalil ur-Rehman's Meray Pas Tum Ho and Sinf e Ahan: Bushra Nadeem, Usama Javed Iqbal
This research comparatively examines the projection of women in two Pakistani primetime dramas Mere Pass Tum Ho and Sinf-e-Aahan to explore the diverse representation of Pakistani women in digital media. It also discusses the role of gender within the two dramas and their respective evaluation of sociopolitical structures and intersectional identities of women in contemporary Pakistan. Expanding on intersectional feminism's focus on various dimensions of identity, this research elaborates on the layers of the characters' experiences in both dramas. Mehwish in Meray Pass Tum Ho intends to acquire wealth and prestige by getting married to a rich man whereas; Sinf-e-Aahan unveils the lives of five female cadets from diverse backgrounds as they join the Pakistan Army. It is a drama that portrays the strength of women and diversity and speaks of women's ability to come out of the bondage of stereotypical roles and succeed in presumably male-dominated professional fields. Employing intersectional gender theory, this paper analyses how the TV drama "Sinf-e-Aahan" subverts cliched imagery, portraying empowered women. This study highlights the significance of employing gender theory as well as intersectional feminism in media texts' analysis. The analysis reveals that male writers tend to portray women as materialistic, weak, and overly emotional characters whereas female writers portray women as strong, independent, and decisive who can take a stand for themselves by challenging traditional roles. It makes a note of the importance of different stories, which deconstruct the cultural norms of gender expectations and present different facets of every woman. Thus, this juxtaposition of Mere Pass Tum Ho and Sinf-e-Aahan offers a perspective on the shift in Pakistani dramas and examines how they can contribute to changing or shifting public perception of gender and identity construction

He has also written a complete book for the said purpose. In this article, 7th address of Dr. Allama M.Iqbal "Is Religion Possible" and its explanatory study by his son Dr. Javed Iqbal have been brought into lime light to examine pros and cons of this explanatory study.
