The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. ABSTRACT This paper aim to describe about the author‟s construction of Lisbeth Salander, the main female character of Stieg Larsson,‟ The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.‟ This paper made to know about the alignments of the author to her. This study uses Feminist Discourse Analysis with Sara Mills‟s method. The analysis shows that the author gives Lisbeth Salander much discretion to tell about herself and when she is told by any other man character, she is given some positif frame of narations. In the other side, all the man characters puts her as equal partner, except one antagonist man character who puts her as subordinat. The things make this novel, even as it is written by a man, has tended to Lisbeth

This study investigates what people working with issues related to sexual abuses of children through internet as media and context, see as the psychological causes behind downloading, storing and/or distributing child sexual exploitation material (CSEM). Knowledge about what people within professions like social workers, psychologists, health care and the police, understand as the different causes of child abuse, through internet as media and context, is important to develop more efficient strategies for preventing such abuses. An important question in this study, is the role internet play in activating and amplifying certain psychological causes of child abuse. Qualitative data was gathered through an anonymous internet-based questionnaire (n=84). The material, analysed through a reflexive thematic analysis, indicated that people, within the above-mentioned professions, working with issues of sexual abuses of children through internet, see the causes of such abuse as complex and composite. In addition to pedophilia, the material indicates that emotional distance, emotional avoidance, and social needs, are important psychological causes behind child abuse through internet. Internet, as media and context, both affects the emotional attachment to child abuse, it becomes a remedy for handling difficulties in life in general, and it fulfil social needs though establishing “a room” for affiliation between abusers. The knowledge on how internet activates and amplifies certain psychological causes related to sexual abuses of children though internet, is so far limited, and needs to be further researched

Svalbard as a Norwegian Place and an International Legal Space

The chapter uses a Hobbesian, a Grotian and a Kantian legal imaginary to outline differing legal images of Svalbard and the practices associated with them. While it argues that certain practices might increasingly be evidence of the presence of a more Hobbesian imaginary of Svalbard, the Svalbard Treaty and some related practices might on the other hand suggest a Kantian imaginary of international law, indicating some transformative potential
