    Abstrak Kebutuhan petani bawang merah terhadap mesin pembuat saluran irigasi dan pengolahan tanah perlu diupayakan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kerja dan efisiensi penggunaan air. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknologi tepat guna mesin irigasi dan pengolah tanah otomatis berbasis sensor melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Kalirejo, Kecamatan Dlingu, Kabupaten Probolinggo. Kegiatan dilakukan selama bulan Juni hingga Juli 2025 melalui tahapan persiapan, pelatihan, uji coba peralatan, serta evaluasi keberhasilan. Pada tahap persiapan, dilakukan survei dan wawancara dengan mitra untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi, kemudian dirancang dan difabrikasi mesin sesuai kebutuhan. Selanjutnya, mitra diberikan pelatihan teknis mengenai cara penggunaan dan  perawatan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan pemanfaatan mesin. Uji coba lapangan dilakukan secara langsung di lahan pertanian bawang bersama petani setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan mesin ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi distribusi air irigasi serta mengurangi ketergantungan pada tenaga kerja manual. Evaluasi yang dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan mitra menunjukkan bahwa program ini bermanfaat secara nyata bagi petani lokal dan berpotensi meningkatkan keberlanjutan sistem pertanian di Desa Kalirejo. Kata kunci: Desa Kalirejo; mesin irigasi; pelatihan; sensor. Abstract The demand of shallot farmers for irrigation channel construction and soil cultivation machinery needs to be addressed in order to enhance work productivity and improve water use efficiency. This article describes a community service program conducted in Kalirejo Village, Dlingu District, Probolinggo Regency, through the application of an irrigation and soil cultivation machine equipped with sensor-based automation. The activities were carried out from June to July 2025 through several stages, including preparation, training, equipment trials, and evaluation of outcomes. During the preparation stage, surveys and interviews with farmer partners were conducted to identify existing challenges, followed by the design and fabrication of a machine tailored to their specific needs. Subsequently, the farmers received technical training on machine operation and maintenance to ensure sustainable utilization. Field trials were conducted directly in shallot farming areas in collaboration with local farmers. The results demonstrated that the application of this machine improved the efficiency of irrigation water distribution and reduced reliance on manual labor. Evaluations carried out through interviews with the farmer partners indicated that the program provided tangible benefits for the local community and has the potential to strengthen the sustainability of the agricultural system in Kalirejo Village Keywords: Kalirejo Village; irrigation machine; training; sensor

    Dependence on fossil fuels is one of the most serious threats to the global environment. In addition, petroleum reserves are also decreasing. Meanwhile, the level of oil consumption is always increasing to meet the demand for fuel. Economical and sustainable alternative energy solutions are essential to meet the growing global energy demand without compromising environmental sustainability. One type of alternative fuel that shows very promising potential is biofuel, especially biodiesel. Biodiesel has potential as a more environmentally friendly alternative to diesel fuel, but its low combustion rate and higher viscosity compared to conventional diesel fuel present technical challenges that need to be overcome. The different chemical properties of butanol from biodiesel allow it to have a positive impact on combustion characteristics, such as viscosity, flash point, heating value, and combustion rate. The combustion characteristics that will be studied in this research using single droplet combustion testing include droplet visualization to measure the dimensions of the flame, temperature during the combustion process recorded by a thermocouple, data logger, and video recording during the combustion process to obtain information regarding the ignition delay value. The test steps were repeated five times for each fuel variation and then averaged.  In this study, the samples tested included pure diesel, diesel blend with 10% butanol, diesel blend with 20% butanol, diesel blend with 30% butanol, diesel blend with 40% butanol and diesel blend with 50% butanol. From this study, the visualization of the flame is obtained, where the combustion of pure diesel oil droplets has a higher and wider flame, while the flame of the butanol diesel mixture produces a flame whose maximum height is lower than pure diesel oil. Si Mbok adalah salah satu bisnis rumahan di Kabupaten Malang dengan Nomor SIUP NIB3008220041614 P-IRT2103507010729-27 yang menjual minuman herbal modern dengan aneka rasa rempah pilihan. Produk ini juga memiliki kualitas yang baik dari segi rasa maupun bahan yang digunakan serta juga memiliki inovasi yang unik karena cukup berbeda dengan minuman herbal yang biasanya dijual dipasaran. Si Mbok belum memiliki strategi khusus untuk memasarkan minuman herbal modernnya serta belum konsisten dalam menyampaikan pesan–pesannya pada media yang digunakan. Hal ini menyebabkan masyarakat pada umumnya belum mengetahui adanya keberadaan minuman herbal modern tersebut serta membuat masyarakat tidak mengetahui manfaat yang akan diperoleh saat mengkonsumsi minuman herbal modern ini. Selain masalah pemasaran dan promosi, proses produksi pembuatan produk minuman seduh yang berupa serbuk instan dilakukan dengan konvensional mengaduk selama 2,5 jam diatas kompor, mengeringkan bahan rempah menunggu matahari dan pengemasan secara manual seadanya sehingga kapasitas produksinya sangat rendah, tergantung faktor cuaca dan kemasan tidak dapat bertahan lama.     Improving Skills in Batik Design through Digital Application for a Pesantren Community in Jombang

    This community engagement aims to improve skills in batik design through digital applications. Islamic boarding school or also known as pesantren is Indonesia’s oldest religious educational institution. Along with rapid industry advancements, such a school is expected to follow the development by creating innovations with commercial and representative value. Based on this motivation, a training program on design software and blog-based online publishing tools for beginners is given to the students in Babussalam Pesantren, Jombang Regency, Indonesia. The idea of batik is discussed in this article as a part of the entrepreneurial knowledge and skill at the pesantren, preparing the students for future entrepreneurship. This community project consists of two kinds of training—(1) designing batik with an innovative and contemporary pattern using a software application such as CorelDRAW and (2) designing and commercializing the batik product using free publishing online platforms such as Blogger or Blogspot, as the widely known domain. The participants are 28 high school students aged 16–18 years old, including 14 male and 14 female students. To observe the process of learning, pre- and post-questionnaires were conducted. The results show that 84% and 89% of students have not used CorelDRAW and blog-based media before, respectively. However, after the training, the students show enthusiasm, with 73% expressing interest and 63% wanting to deepen their knowledge of CorelDRAW design. Furthermore, 27% of students show interest in blog design and 37% want to learn further. Hopefully, with this entrepreneurship training, pesantren students are ready and confidently enter the business community

    Investigation The Effect of Clearance and Body Weight on The Contact Pressure of Metal on PCU Hip Prosthesis using Finite Element Method

    A common problem with artificial hip replacements is increased wear of the material in contact. Materials that are in contact result in contact pressure caused by the patient's daily activities so that it triggers wear. This study adopts a finite element method (FEM) to predict wear of the artificial hip joint, by studying the behavior of a hip joint prosthesis that has clearance under a certain load. The aim of this study was to observe contact as a function of clearance and body weight. The modeling uses metal as femoral head and polycarbonate urethane (PCU) material as the acetabular cup. Contact modeling as a hard material in contact with a deformable material. Four variations of clearance (0.001, 0.005, 0.01, 0.016) and three variations of body weight (500N, 700N, and 1000N) were used in this study.     Abstrak Budidaya ikan nila memiliki potensi strategis dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat perdesaan, termasuk di Desa Kalirejo, Probolinggo. Namun, tingginya biaya pakan yang mencapai lebih dari 50% total biaya produksi serta ketergantungan pada pakan komersial yang harganya fluktuatif menjadi kendala utama bagi petani ikan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kemandirian produksi pakan melalui penerapan teknologi tepat guna berupa mesin cetak pelet vertikal 3 rol. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan bersama mitra, yaitu kelompok budidaya ikan nila di Desa Kalirejo, Probolinggo, dengan melibatkan sebanyak 20 orang peserta. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi identifikasi permasalahan melalui observasi dan wawancara, pelatihan penggunaan serta perawatan mesin cetak pelet, edukasi formulasi pakan berbasis kebutuhan ikan nila, serta implementasi dan evaluasi kinerja mesin dalam skala usaha masyarakat. Mesin yang digunakan memiliki desain vertikal dengan tiga rol penekan dan ditenagai mesin bensin 9 PK, dengan kapasitas produksi 250–400 kg/jam. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan mesin ini mampu meningkatkan efisiensi produksi pakan mandiri, menurunkan biaya operasional, serta mendukung peningkatan produktivitas budidaya ikan nila. Selain itu, pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan turut memperluas pengetahuan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan usaha perikanan yang berkelanjutan. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan teknologi tepat guna yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain dengan karakteristik serupa, guna memperkuat sektor perikanan rakyat yang berdaya saing dan mandiri. Kata kunci: budidaya ikan nila; teknologi tepat guna; mesin cetak pelet; pakan mandiri; pemberdayaan masyarakat.  Abstract Tilapia farming holds strategic potential in improving the welfare of rural communities, including those in Kalirejo Village, Probolinggo. However, high feed costs—accounting for more than 50% of total production expenses—and dependence on commercially produced feed, which is often unstable in price and accessibility, remain major challenges for small-scale fish farmers. This community service program aims to enhance production efficiency and promote feed self-sufficiency through the application of appropriate technology in the form of a vertical 3-roller pellet machine. The activity was carried out in collaboration with a local tilapia farming group in Kalirejo Village, Probolinggo, involving 20 participants. The program consisted of several key stages: identifying problems through observation and interviews, providing training on the operation and maintenance of the pellet machine, educating participants on feed formulation tailored to tilapia growth requirements, and implementing as well as evaluating the machine’s performance in a community-scale setting. The machine features a vertical design with three pressing rollers, powered by a 9 HP gasoline engine, and has a production capacity of 250–400 kg per hour. The results indicate that the adoption of this machine significantly improves feed production efficiency, reduces operational costs, and supports increased productivity in tilapia farming. Furthermore, the training and mentoring activities have expanded the participants’ knowledge in managing aquaculture enterprises more sustainably. This program is expected to serve as a replicable model of appropriate technology-based empowerment for other rural regions facing similar challenges in the aquaculture sector. Keywords: tilapia farming; appropriate technology; pellet machine; self-produced feed; community empowerment

    The Effect of Coal and Sawdust Co-Firing on Boiler Efficiency with the Direct and Indirect Calculation Methods at PT PLN Nusantara Power Unit 2

    The increasing demand for electricity in Indonesia has led to a rise in fossil fuel consumption, resulting in negative environmental impacts. As part of its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2060, the Indonesian government has begun promoting the application of co-firing technology that utilizes biomass as an alternative fuel. One promising type of biomass is sawdust, which can be blended with coal in the combustion process. This study aims to analyze the effect of sawdust blending on boiler efficiency using both direct and indirect calculation methods. The results show that a fuel composition of 55% low-rank coal (LRC), 40% medium-rank coal (MRC), and 5% sawdust produces a boiler efficiency of 86.8% using the direct method and 85.2% using the indirect method. Additionally, this blend generates lower emissions compared to a mixture of 80% LRC and 20% MRC. These findings indicate that sawdust, when applied through co-firing technology, contributes to improved combustion efficiency and reduced emissions in coal-fired power plants.

    Analysis Of Temperature Effect on Struvite Scales Controlling in A Vertical Reactor

    Scale is forming and controlling in industrial applications causes the clogs or decreasing in volume flows in the pipes, so increasing maintenance cost can occur as a consequence. Struvite discovered as Magnesium Ammonium Phosphate Hexahydrate (MgNH4PO4.6H2O) and referred as a scale due to the heating process of fluid through pipes. The aim of this research was investigated the temperature effect on process of scales forming and controlling. The process was used a vertical bulkhead reactor. The process starts from mixing the equimolar solutions of MgCl2, NH4OH, H3PO4 with 1: 1: 1 of ratio concentration. Then, crystallization process was carried out with the condition at the variation of temperature (20-40°C), variation of pH value (pH 8-10) and variation of air inlet rate (0.25; 0.50; 0.75; 1.0; 1.25 L/min) while the feed rate was 25 ml/min. The process continues until the condition becomes steady state. The scale controlling process was determined by the presence of struvite deposits. The deposits were analyzed by using the XRF method to determine composition content. The optimal conditions were obtained at a temperature of 30°C, pH 9, and air rate of 1.25L/min
