Beliau merupakan salah seorang tokoh Penggiat Seni Lukisan Komik dan Batik. Sejarah lisan adalah satu kaedah yang penting dalam merakam peristiwa lampau yang pernah ditempuhi oleh seseorang itu. Kajian ini menceritakan tentang latar belakang dan sejarah hidup Cekeding atau nama sebenar beliau Mohd Zainudin Ismail sebagai salah seorang penggiat seni lukisan komik dan batik. Beliau merupakan anak jati negeri jelapang padi iaitu Kedah Darul Aman. Beliau mendapat Pendidikan di Sekolah Menengah Tajar, Alor Setar. Beliau juga telah berkecimpung dalam dunia lukisan ini sejak tahun 1993 sehingga sekarang dan masih lagi bergiat aktif. Senarai soalan juga telah disediakan untuk ditanyakan kepada tokoh veteran. Kajian sejarah lisan ini diharapkan dapat membantu orang lain mengenali dan menghargai penggiat seni tanah air kita
Novel Ismail Abbas dan Harun Haji Salleh : Satu kajian gagasan persuratan baru
No full textIsmail Abbas (Allahyarham) atau Amil Jaya merupakan anak kelahiran Kata Belud dan seorang penulis novel Sabah yang pertama. Manakala, Harun Haji Salleh (Allahyarham) seorang karyawan perantau Negeri Sembilan yang giat dalam penulisan kreatif sejak tahun 1950-an dan merupakan penulis novel Islam pertama di Sabah. Kajian menganalisis tiga novel terpilih Ismail Abbas Cerah (1976), Bagaton {1979), Ngayau (1987) dan tiga buah lagi dari karya Harun Haji Salleh H1dayah (1984), Di Sebalik Sebuah Kubah (1986J Murtad (1992) menggunakan Gagasan Persuratan Baru, seterusnya GPB. GPB merujuk kepada konsep ilmu yang benar, mudah diuji kesahihan dan ketepatannya dalam kritikan sastera, terutamanya novel. Berdasarkan kerangka ilmu yang benar dari konsep tauhid dan ukuran taklif, analisis kajian meneliti persoalan atau pemikiran pengarang terhadap keseluruhan karya tersebut. Pemikiran pengarang turut dilihat dari aspek watak perwatakan dengan mengambil kira keselarasannya dengan tiga falsafah utama GPB, iaitu Hakikat Insan, Hakikat Ilmu dan Amal serta Hakikat dan Fungsi Sastera. Berdasarkan pemikiran tersebut, kajian mendapati aplikasi GPB adalah relevan walaupun ada sesetengah bahagian novel yang kurang menepati hasrat gagasan ini

No full textEducational research has been successfully assisting educators in solving enormous problems and difficulties in education especially in the teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Educators may benefit by taking a close and critical insight in their own practices. Developed and refined insights as to the nature of that practice, professional autonomy and competence, and authority to give a reasoned justification for their own educational practice may fruitfully result. The concept 'educational' involves the notion of 'improvement'. By being aware and critical of their practice, educators work more positively towards their own professional development. Improvements in the quality of education are dependent upon the professional competence and high morale of the educators. This paper tries to promote action research in improving teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Through its emphasis on critical evaluation of practice within a democratic framework, the action research movement has integrated researchers from different disciplines and curriculum areas who share a concern to improve practice and to understand the process of improving practice. The paper gives the background and explanations for action research and the implications for educators who embark on an action research project, the pitfalls as well as the satisfaction. The paper intends to be an organic instrument in bringing people together to adopt in-service strategies that deliberately and systematically set out to encourage educators to raise the level of their awareness, being open to new concepts and developing professional competence. Action research presents an opportunity for educators to become uniquely involved in their own practice, to professionalize themselves, and to give reasoned justification for what they are doing

No full textNoise induced hearing loss (NIHL) is a sensori-neural hearing deficit that begin at the higher frequencies (3000 to 6000 Hz) and develops gradually as a result of chronic exposure to the excessive sound level. It is mostly found in the developing and industrial countries workers. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship of noise exposure level between exposed and non-exposed group with hearing loss among workers at steel making industry. A cross sectional study was conducted involving 64 respondents from steel industry workers which located at Banting, Selangor. The study was done during the period of March to May 2012. The method of this study included a questionnaire, area noise level monitoring, personal noise monitoring and also audiometric test. The respondents were divided into two groups which is exposed and non-exposed group where each of group consists of 32 respondents. The results of this study were as follows: The noise intensity in the steel making plant range from 62.2 dB(A) to 112.3 dB(A) and in administrative office range from 46.8 dB(A) to 83.3 dB(A) and a number of 24 respondents (75%) of the exposed group got NIHL, compared to 2 respondents (6.3%) of non-exposed group. There was a significant difference in the incidence of NIHL between exposed and non-exposed group. The conclusion is the workers that exposed to high level of noise will develop hearing loss. Immediate corrective action must be taken to prevent this incidence occurs

No full textBu araştırma söz ve saz musikisi alanlarının her ikisinde de üstün başarı sergileyen Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey’in, rast kararlı saz semailerini makamsal açıdan incelenip, yorumlanacağı bir çalışmadır. Bu sayede İsmail Hakkı Bey’in konu olduğu araştırmaların artması yönünde katkı sağlamak hedeflenmiştir. Araştırma genel içeriği, amacı ve yöntemi bakımından tarama modelini uygulayan betimsel bir araştırmadır. Konuyla ilgili çeşitli kaynakların taranmasıyla ön bilgilere ulaşılmış, ilgili konular olduğu gibi aktarılmıştır.Veri toplama aracı olarak, örneklemde yer alan Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey’in repertuvarda bulunan saz eserleri kullanılmıştır. Türk Müziğinde önemli bir yere sahip olan Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey’in çeşitli makamlarda çok sayıda saz eseri mevcuttur. ilmu Islam. Walau bagaimana pun, masih ramai lagi tokoh ulama yang tidak dikenali (Majhul)
di lapangan medan dakwah Islamiah di Malaysia namun banyak memberikan kesan signifikan
kepada perkembangan Islam suatu masa dahulu. Penulisan artikel adalah bertujuan untuk
menonjolkan seorang tokoh ulama yang namanya tercatat dalam buku sejarah ulama di Tanah
Melayu, akan tetapi tidak dikenali secara umum. Beliau adalah Tuan Guru Haji Wan
Ismail@Harun bin Abdul Rahman yang terdiri dari kalangan lapisan generasi ulama terakhir
(bongsu) yang sempat merasai tarbiah tokoh ulama terkenal di Tanah Melayu iaitu Tok Kenali.
Kajian ini merupakan satu kajian kualitatif yang menggunakan metode temu bual dan
penerokaan dokumen-dokumen tertentu yang berkaitan dengan kajian yang ingin dibuat bagi
tujuan pengumpulan maklumat yang diingini. Kajian ini juga turut berperanan dalam
memberikan sumbangan terhadap penambahan maklumat berkaitan ulama terdahulu pada
