    The problems described in this study are: (1) What is the character of the main character and the way the author describes the character of the main character in Islah Cinta novel by Dini Fitria ?, (2) What is the character of additional characters and how the characters describe the character of Islah Cinta Dini Fitria? The purpose of this study is to (1) describe, analyze and identify the character of the main character and the way the author describes the character of the main character in Islah Cinta novel early fitria, (2) describe, analyze and identify the character of additional characters and how the author describes the character of additional characters in Islah novels love early fitria works The theory used is (Aminuddin 2013). The research approach is qualitative type of library research (Library Research) method used descriptive. The source of the Islah Cinta novel research data by Dini Fitria, the publisher of PT. Falcon Jakarta 2017 the first print consists of 33 chapters and 401 pages. The results showed that the role of the characters in the novel Islah Cinta by Dini Fitria was divided into two, namely the main character played by Diva, Andrean and Mas Jay. Additional characters played by thirteen other characters. The character of the main character is obtained that Diva, Andrean and Mas Jay have a patient nature, generous, confident, caring, selfish, bragging, rude, loser, calm, responsible, quiet, helper. the character of an additional figure of 13 people has a persistent, confident, courageous, kind, polite, friendly, selfish, unethical, helpful, religious, caring, wise, polite, calm, talkative, calm, romantic, smiling, straightforward quick, irresponsible, authoritative. The way the author describes the character of the main character and the character of the additional characters can be seen from: seeing how other characters talk about him, showing how his behavior, seeing how other characters talk to him, seeing how the character reacts to other characters

    Islah is a term found in the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet. Islah comes from the word Ashlaha-yushlihu-ishlahan, which means repair, safety and peace. Islah according to the Qur'an is a person who always reads the Qur'an, remembrance and prayer in the quiet night. Performing islah is doing good deeds in a calm manner and state that can benefit oneself and others. Like the state of a person doing night prayers, it is a reform that is very beneficial to himself and gives good to others, because it can prevent evil deeds and provide good for safety and peace. So something can be seen as reform if it serves to bring value and benefits. On the other hand, acts that cause harm are not called reforms. Thus, the measure of a good or bad charity lies in the value of the benefits or harms it contains.   Islah adalah suatu term yang terdapat dalam al-Qur’an dan hadis rasulullah saw. Islah berasal dari kata Ashlaha-yushlihu-ishlahan, yang artinya perbaikan, keselamatan dan perdamaian. Islah menurut al-Qur’an adalah orang yang senatiasa membaca al-Qur’an, zikir dan shalat di waktu malam yang tenang. Melaksanakan islah adalah melakukan perbuatan yang baik dengan cara dan keadaan tenang yang dapat memberi manfaat pada dirinya dan orang lain. Seperti keadaan seseorang mengerjakan shalat malam, adalah suatu islah yang sangat bermanfaat kepada dirinya dan memberi kebaikan kepada orang lain, karena dapat mencegah perbuatan mungkar dan memberikan kebaikan untuk keselamatan dan perdamaian. Maka sesuatu dapat dipandang sebagai islah jika ia berfungsi mendatangkan nilai manfaat. Sebaliknya, perbuatan yang menimbulkan mudarat, tidak dinamakan islah. Dengan demikian, tolok ukur suatu amal baik atau tidak adalah terletak pada nilai manfaat atau mudarat yang dikandungnya

    This article aims to examine how islah or reconciliation was achieved by Nahdlatul Wathan’s elites. The conflict of NW in 1998 is a protracted one because the negotiation process of islah failed. Both groups did not find an appropriate point or an ideal format of islah proposal. Through long way process of negotiation, taking more than one decade, finally both group achieved an agreement of islah in May 2010. This article aims to explore the backgrounds and motivations of NW islah between both groups, as well as describe the efforts of undertaken by NW elite for conducting islah during times of conflict. This article also aims to understand what the format of islah has been achieved and how the NW maintain the continuity of islah commitment and agreement. This article is based on ethnographic research undertaken over a period of two years (2008-2010) in East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The collecting and analyzing of data was done using the qualitative method; the collection of data was done using the techniques of participant-observation, in-depth interview, and focus group discussion.     Artikel ini membincangkan penglibatan Haji Yusof Rawa dalam gerakan islah di Tanah Melayu. Perbincangan dalam artikel ini merangkumi biodata ringkas dan keterlibatan beliau dalam usaha-usaha islah melalui penulisan. Setelah itu, sejarah penerbitan Majalah al-Islah juga dibincangkan dalam artikel ini di samping menjelaskan isi kandungan utama majalah yang sarat memuatkan idea-idea islah. Dapatlah disimpulkan bahawa Haji Yusof Rawa banyak menegur dan menyarankan pembaharuan masyarakat Islam di Tanah Melayu melalui penerbitan Majalah al-Islah. Ramai di kalangan membaca dan pendukung islah dalam dekad 70-an merasa gembira dengan kehadiran Majalah al-Islah dan berharap penerbitannya dapat diteruskan namun oleh kerana kekangan dan halangan tertentu Majalah al-Islah terpaksa diberhentikan penerbitannya pada 1974

    Yüksek Lisans TeziOsmanlı Devleti'nin XIX. yüzyılda giriştiği reform ve batılılaşma çabalarının en belirgin olduğu dönem Tanzimat dönemidir. Osmanlı Devletinin son dönemlerinde medreseler, Tanzimat'la beraber kendi haline terk edilerek devlet yardım ve desteğinden mahrum kalmıştır. Reform hareketleri daha çok İstanbul medreselerini kapsamıştır. İlk defa Tanzimat'la birlikte reform hareketleri bir ivme kazanmıştır. Reform hareketleri kişi odaklı olmuş, görevli şahıs gidince reform hareketleri de bitmiştir. II. Abdülhamit dönemindeki eğitimde reform hareketleri daha etkili ve kalıcı olmuştur. Osmanlı Devleti'nin son devri olan II. meşrutiyet dönemi medreselerin ıslahı için bir dönüm noktasıdır. II. Meşrutiyet döneminde yapılmaya çalışılan medrese ıslah faaliyetleri, bu kurumları zamanın gelişen şartlarına ve eğitim anlayışlarına uygun hale getirmek için ortaya konan en kapsamlı ve en köklü girişimlerdir. Bu girişimlerden ilki Medâris-i İlmiye Nizamnâmesi'nin yayınlanması diğeri ise Islah-ı Medâris Nizamnâmesi'nin yayınlanmasıdır. Bu reform çalışmalarından önce Konya'da 1909 yılında Islah-ı Medâris Nizamnâmesi yayınlanmıştır. Islah-ı Medâris Konya'da üç kardeş tarafından daha önce tasarlanmış ve harekete geçilen bir fikirdir. Âlim, bürokrat ve halkın desteğiyle kurduğu " Konya Islah-ı Medâris-i İslamiye Medresesi" ile medreselerin modernleşme sürecine büyük katkıda bulunulmuştur. Islah-ı Medâris, Konyalı âlimler, sûfiler, esnaf tarafından kurulan bir vakıf bünyesinde kurulmuştur. Islah sadece bir medrese değil aynı zamanda tekke işlevi de görmüştür. Konya'daki ilk yenilikçi eğitim kurumlarından olan Paşa Dairesi'nin yerine yapılmıştır. Bu medrese geleneksel eğitim kurumu ile modern eğitim sisteminin kaynaştığı yeni bir eğitim projesidir. Islah-ı Medâris-i İslamiye'yi anlamak ve değerlendirmek için dönemin siyasi ve sosyal yapısını iyi bilmek gerekir. Bu kurum lise ve üniversite düzeyinde eğitim yapmayı amaçlamıştır. Islah-ı Medâris Konya'da kaliteli ve nitelikli insan yetiştirmek amacıyla açılan en önemli eğitim kurumudur.The most striking period of the reforms and westernization efforts that Ottomans attempted in the XIXth century is Tanzimat reform era. With Tanzimat, during the last stages of the Ottomans, Madrasas were left alone and deprived of govermental supports and aids. Despite reformist activities, this included only İstanbul madrasas. Reformists activities, with Tanzimat, accelerated for the first time. Reformists activities became individually centralized, and so they faded when the individual didn't exist any more. Therefore, reformist activities were thought to get formally recognized. Those in education having started during the reign of Abdülhamid field improved in the XXth century. The Constitutional Monarchy II. , which was the last era of Ottomans is the turning point of madrasa-reforms. Madrasa refinement acts during the Constitutional Monarchy are the most elaborate and radical attempts to adjust these institutions to the conditions and concepts of the time. The former of these attempts is publishing of Medâris-i İlmiye Regulation and the latter is Konya Islah-ı Madrasas Regulation. Prior to these reform acts, Islah-ı Madrasas Regulation was published in 1909. Islah-ı Madrasas is an idea that was previously scheduled and materialized by 3 siblings. Konya Islah-ı Madrasas ıslamic madrasa, which was founded with the support of scholars, bureaucrats and public, contributed greatly to modernization of the madrasas. Madrasas aren't completely independent educational institutions from the govermental rule, social life and economic structure. It is essential to conceive political and social structure of the period in order to understand and evaluate Islah-ı Medâris, which was formed instead of Pasha department, the first samples of Tekke and Madrasa.     Penelitian ini berjudul Islah Sebagai Penyelesaian Tindak Pidana Dalam Perspektif Fiqh Jinayah. Dua hal yang diangkat sebagai fokus penelitian. Pertama, Bagaimana Konsep Islah dalam penyelesaian tindak pidana. Kedua, Bagaimana Tinjauan Fiqh Jinayah terhadap Islah sebagai penyelesaian tindak pidana. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui konsep Islah dalam penyelesaian tindak pidana dan mengetahui tinjauan fiqh jinayah terhadap Islah sebagai penyelesaian tindak pidana. Metode yang dipakai untuk penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan (library research). Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data pustaka yang terdiri dari bahan hukum primer, sekunder dar tersier. Bahan hukum primer, yaitu bahan-bahan hukum yang mengikat. diperoleh dari KUHP, Undang-Undang , serta Kitab Fiqih. Bahan hukum sekunder, yaitu bahan hukum yang menjelaskan tentang bahan hukum primer. Adapun bahan hukum sekunder yang penulis gunakan adalah buku-buku hukum yang ditulis oleh para ahli hukum yang berkaitan dengan objek penelitian. Adapun bahan hukum tersier adalah sumber data tambahan yang memberikan penjelasan terhadap data-data sekunder berupa website dan artikel. Teknik analisis data adalah mengklasifikasi data yang telah ada, yakni data primer, sekunder dan data tersier. Setelah data diklasifikasi penulis berusaha menganalisis data primer, sekunder dan tersier. Kemudian setelah di analisis, penulis berusaha untuk menyimpulkan. Tinjauan umum menunjukan bahwa islah memiliki landasan filosofi dan teologis yang mengarah pada pemulihan harkat dan martabat semua pihak yang terlibat, mengganti suasana konflik dengan perdamaian, menghapus hujat menghujat dengan pemaafan, menghentikan tuntut menuntut dan salah menyalahkan. Klarifikasi yang diinginkan adalah tidak melalui meja pengadilan, melainkan melalui meja perdamaian dan perundingan. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan Islah dalam penyelesaian tindak pidana dapat dilakukan sebagai jalan keluar yang baik, tanpa melalui proses persidangan dan menguntungkan para pihak yang terlibat baik korban maupun pelaku kejahatan. Islah adalah pilihan yang secara sadar ditempuh oleh korban dan pelaku untuk mencapai cara-cara terbaik sesuai dengan keyakinannya terhadap kejahatan yang terjadi. Dalam hal ini islah merupakan pilihan yang menjadi hak prerogratif dari korban maupun ahli warisnya

    ‘Ulama dan cendekiawan yang terlibat dalam usaha-usaha Islah di Tanah Melayu dikenali sebagai Kaum Muda. Kemunculan mereka pada awal abad dua puluh mencabar status quo dan institusi-institusi keagamaan dan pemerintahan yang sedia ada. Ini mencetuskan kontroversi dan ketegangan antara golongan Islah dan dan institusi-institusi yang sedia ada. Justeru itu sebahagian masyarakat mencurigai kehadiran dan peranan mereka dalam masyarakat. Ini ekoran pegangan mereka yang kontroversi terutamanya dalam isu fiqh yang tidak berpegang kepada mazhab Shafi’i yang diikuti oleh majoriti umat Islam bukan sahaja di Tanah Melayu bahkan di Nusantara seluruhnya. Dalam arus kontroversi sebegitu, sumbangan mereka mungkin tidak mendapat pengiktirafan yang sewajarnya. Justeru itu, kertas kerja ini membincangkan sebahagian daripada peranan dan sumbangan gerakan Islah terhadap masyarakat di Tanah Melayu. Terdapat penulis yang menyatakan golongan Islah gagal dalam dalam misi mereka di Tanah Melayu, kajian ini meneliti danmenghalusi semula sumbangan gerakan Islah di Tanah Melayu terutamanya dengan mengambil kira sumbangan jangka panjang terhadap perkembangan masyarakat di Tanah Melayu

    The Settlement for Marriage Dispute Through the Islah in Indonesia

    Islah is an institution of marriage dispute resolution for Moslem communities outside the court which still exists in Indonesia. This paper aims to examine the effectiveness of Islah as one of the institutions for resolving marriage disputes for Muslim communities in Indonesia. For this reason, the type of research used is the type of empirical legal research. This type of research is used to test the behavior of the Indonesian moslem community towards Islah as one of the institutions for resolving marriage dispute. The result of the study shows that the majority of the Indonesian Moslem community still accepts islah as one of the institutions for resolving marriage dispute between them, but in terms of obedience to islah decisions by mediator judges, it has not been fully accepted by the parties to the dispute. Since the Islah ruling is only moral in nature having no legal force that is enforced by law. The author's recommendation, the Indonesian government should make written laws to strengthen the position of Islam, so that it can provide binding power to the parties to the dispute.
