Sport is activity that contributes greatly to physical and mental health, as well as the achievement of achievement at national and international levels. One of the fastest growing sport that is growing rapidly in Indonesia is wushu, especially sanda number. This research aims to document the journey of Central Java wushu athletes in achieving their athletes in achieving achievements in PON XXI Aceh-Sumut 2024. The method research method used is phenomenology with a qualitative approach, where data is collected through the author\u27s personal experience as a writer. Where data is collected through the author\u27s personal experience as an athlete, interviews with coaches, and analysis of supporting documents. The result of the research showed that achievement in wushu sanda is inseparable from a systematic training program, including regional training camps (Pelatda). systematic training program, including regional training camps (Pelatda), match trials, and Training Center (TC) in Vietnam. Evaluation of physical condition physical condition, technique, strategy, and mental aspects are the main factors in improving athlete performance. The results of the trials and fitness monitoring showed significant improvements in strength, agility, and endurance, although there are some aspects that still need improvement. This research is expected to be a reference for athletes and coaches in developing more optimal training strategies to achieve maximum performance.a more optimal training strategy in order to achieve maximum performance

Analisis Teknik Tarikan yang Ideal pada Permainan Tradisional Ketapel: Tinjauan Biomekanika Olahraga

Slingshot is a traditional game that is played not just shooting, but there are several correct techniques to be able to shoot on target. The purpose of this study is to analyze the biomechanics of pulling in the traditional slingshot game. This research uses quantitative methods which are then explained descriptively analytically using the one shot case study method. The samples used in this study were traditional game activists in Semarang Regency. This research data was obtained using kinematic data obtained from the results of video analysis of catapult techniques with the help of Kinovea software version 0.9.5. From the quantitative data obtained, a recap of the slingshot technique consisting of three phases was obtained, namely the preparation phase, the release phase, and the follow through phase. The results of the study found that the analysis of the pull on the traditional slingshot game activists in Semarang Regency was still not good with an average pull in the preparation phase of 98.11 ± 22.956 degrees with a pull angle in the release phase of 103.76 ± 26.22 degrees. The conclusion in this study found that the ideal pulling technique is a pulling movement that forms an angle of approximately 90 degrees on the arm with the body or torque, which is done when the elbow of the pull is parallel to the hand holding the slingshot frame. It is hoped that further research can discuss related to the analysis of the length of pull and shot accurac

Determinants of Shoe Buying Decisions: A Study on Sports Students’ Preferences

Students who are active in sports have considerations in choosing the ideal shoes, especially when they are faced with quality, price, and brand image issues simultaneously. This study aims to analyze the determination of shoe purchasing decisions based on shoe quality in sports students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with an online form instrument to collect the required data based on expert validation. A total of 95 respondents from sports students who were willing to fill out the form by agreeing to the terms before continuing to fill in the questions asked. The results found that the assessment of shoe quality amounted to an average of 45 people or 47% in the good category. Assessment of the price of sports shoes as many as 50 people with a percentage of 52.63% interpretation is good. The results of the brand image of sports shoes as many as 30 people with a percentage of 31.58% 15 people in the good category. The conclusion in this study found that sports students have careful consideration to choose quality shoes and have a well-known brand image. The decision was taken based on shoes with a good image that have good quality so that they are comfortable to wear. Future research is expected to be able to identify in detail what shoe brands are popular both local and international products that are the choice when exercising.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

The Back Kick Movement In Single Artistic Pencak Silat: A Biomechanical Analysis Review

The back kick is a technique in the seventh move of pencak silat single art that requires body rotation and kicking without looking at the target, so its execution is often inaccurate. The purpose of this study is to analyse the back kick technique in the single art category using a biomechanical approach. The method used was descriptive analysis with purposive sampling, involving six active athletes in the single art category. Data were collected through observation and documentation, and the Kinovea 0.9.5 application was used for motion analysis, focusing on the execution phase, particularly to measure the kicking angle and the distance between the supporting hand and foot. The results of the study showed that the athletes' kicking techniques met the appropriate criteria. The average distance between the supporting hand and foot was 45.81 ± 14.67 cm, with a range of 24.34 cm to 65.10 cm, while the average kicking angle reached 101.17° ± 12.73°, ranging from 86.5° to 118.2°. Out of the six athletes, three achieved the optimal kicking angle, influenced by the balance between the distance between the hands and feet and the body flexion angle. The more ideal the distance between the hands and feet and the body flexion angle, the higher and more stable the kick produced. Further research is expected to examine the analysis of back kicks in greater depth and specificity, including aspects such as speed, distance, angle, body segmentation, strength, and the muscles involved
