    No full text
Allama Muhammad Iqbal, a renowned poet and philosopher of the Islamic world, belonged to a devoutly religious family and embodied the spirit of a true Muslim. The most valuable and prominent aspect of his life was his profound love and unwavering obedience to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). While Iqbal's poetry does not adopt the traditional style of Naat recitation, it resonates deeply with an immense and unfathomable devotion to the Holy Prophet. His writing reveals a unique and spiritual perspective on the event of the Prophet’s Ascension (Mi'raj), illustrating the mysteries and wisdom of this miraculous journey. Dedicated to the service and supremacy of Islam, Iqbal aspired for all Muslims to not only embody the teachings of Allah and His Messenger but also to spread this divine message to every corner of the world. Nano-managing silver and zinc as bio-conservational approach against pathogens of the honey bee

    No full text
Herein, silver and zinc oxide Nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by using W. coagulant fruit extract as reducing agent and capping agent. The green synthesized NP with distinct properties were used for novel application against fungal and bacterial pathogen of honey bee (A. mellifera). The UV-spectroscopy confirms the synthesis of silver and zinc oxide NPs at 420 nm and 350 nm respectively. Further, XRD evaluated the monoclinic structure of Ag NPs while ZnO NPs showed wurtzite hexagonalcrystlized structure. Resistant honey bee pathogens such Paenibacilluslarvae, Melissococcus plutonius and Ascosphaera apis were isolated, identified and cultured in vitro to assess the antimicrobial potentials of Ag and ZnO NPs. Additionally, different biomolecules provide access to achieve maximum and stable Ag and ZnO NPs. It was also observed that with increasing the concentration of zinc oxide NPs and sliver NPs, zone of inhibition was also increased. Thus, present findings show that plant extracts can be a useful natural resource to prepare functional nonmaterial for targeted applications especially in the field of apicultural research

A New MBH Adduct as an Efficient Ligand in the Synthesis of Metallodrugs: Characterization, Geometrical Optimization, XRD, Biological Activities, and Molecular Docking Studies

    No full text
This article reports the synthesis, characterization, geometrical optimization, and biological studies of new MBH-based organometallic compounds of medicinal significance. The ligand (MNHA) was prepared via the Morita–Baylis–Hillman (MBH) synthetic route, from aromatic aldehyde containing multiple functional groups. Metal complexes were prepared in an alkaline medium and under other suitable reaction conditions. Spectral and elemental analyses were used to identify the structural and molecular formulas of each compound. Optimized geometry was determined through density functional theory (DFT) B3LYP and 6-311++ G (d,p) basis set for the MBH adduct, whereas structures of novel complexes were optimized with the semi-empirical PM6 method. Powder XRD analysis furnished the crystal class of complexes, with Co3+, Cr3+, and Mn2+ being cubic, while Ni2+ was hexagonal, and Cu2+ was orthorhombic. Moreover, the ligand, along with Ni2+ and Co3+ complexes, showed profound antibacterial action against S. aureus, E. coli, B. pumilis, and S. typhi. Additionally, all of the complexes were shown to persist in the positive antioxidant potential of the ligand. Contrarily, not a single metal complex conserved the antifungal potentials of the ligand

In the beginning of the nineteenth century, it is pertinent to mention that many political and social movements started in India. These movements affected the entire system of entire India. The effects of these movements must have been felt in the state of Jammu and Kashmir . The effects of the political movements within India caused to be established in Kashmir as a result of which political and social awareness became the shape of a movement. People outside Kashmir played a significant role in strengthening the spirit of this initiative. Among them, people like M. Zafar Ali Khan, M. Abdul Majeed Salik Muhammad Deen Fawk, Maulana Ghulam Rasool Mehr, Syed Attaullah Shah Bukhari Hafeez Jalandhri and Shurash Kashmiri did not speak a single word, but the most powerful voice among them was Allama Muhammad Iqbal. It is significantly added that the poets of Kashmir accepted the influence of Iqbal's thought. Apart from Pirzada Ghulam Ahmad Mehjoor Ghulam Rasool Nazqi Abdul Ahad Azad Shaha Zor Kashmiri Shourida Kashmiri, there are many poets including Hamidi Kashmiri Khalifa Abdul Hakeem, Khushi Muhammad Nazer, Hakeem Manzoor Mirza Ghulam Hasan Baig, Ghulam Ahmad Faisal Kashmiri who were influenced by Iqbal's thought and inspired in his poetry.

Remittances and Poverty Linkages in Pakistan: Evidence and Some Suggestions for Further Analysis

Global remittances experienced a dramatic increase over the years, particularly since 1990 wherein the developing world emerged to be the major beneficiary accounting for 60 percent of the total amount. Because of the sheer volume, and magnitude of the remittances, and pre-eminence of these flows compared to the FDIs, development assistance and in some cases the trade related transactions, the development practitioners tended to focus and investigate the importance of remittances which are generally regarded as a dependable source for growth, improved welfare and poverty alleviation in the developing world. Given the fact that remittances flows entail wide ranging ramifications both for sending as well as receiving countries, difficult to be generalised, hence empirical evidence has been mounted though lack of consensus is visible.

The purpose of this article was to squad different signs and symptoms of depression and how it affects the daily as well as professional lives of people and also an attempt was made to differentiate depression from stress, because some of the researchers and practitioners considered these two terms as synonym or reciprocal for each other especially in business organizations. This disease is so much common now a day that people don’t know that they are suffering from it. To help the people different signs and symptoms discussed in the paper. This study is conceptual one. And it will be helpful for the employees of the professional organizations, team leaders and managers that if they feel any changes in their subordinates or group members they should take corrective action immediately to maximize the output, because most of the organizations in advance countries are bearing their major expenses on employee medical expenses, sick leaves and workplace sickness

Poverty Dynamics of Female-headed Households in Pakistan: Evidence from PIHS 2000-01 and PSLM 2004-05

The paper attempts to empirically test a naïve version of what is rather stylistically termed as “feminisation of poverty”, using the sub-sample of female -headed households (FHHs) from two household surveys in Pakistan. Although, the database is constrained by quality factors and small sample size, the following findings add to the richness of current research in this area: (a) The numerical incidence of poverty among households headed by females is less than that for all households in the country, at the national, urban and rural level for both the years. This can be traced to the finding that more than 70 percent of households headed by females receive remittances, (b) The incidence of poverty among FHHs during the period 2000-01 to 2004-05 did not decline as fast as it did for mixed households, nationwide. In urban areas, it did not decline at all, (c) Among the determinants of poverty of FHHs, illiteracy, dependency and rural residence exacerbate poverty, while remittances domestic and/ or foreign reduce poverty, (d) The dynamics of incidence of poverty among FHHs during the period indicated that Illiteracy as the factor exacerbating poverty became less important in 2004-05. Moreover, residence in rural areas was also a weaker factor in determining the incidence of poverty. By far the most notable contribution in reducing the incidence of poverty was self-employment in agriculture in 2004-05.
