Drama Tragedi: Dari Aristoteles hingga Arthur Miller

This paper attempts to reformulate the meaning or definition of tragedy, a form of drama and literature, from Aristotle to Arthur Miller. The main purpose of this paper is to answer questions such as the following: What is a tragedy? What elements are present in the tragedy? How is the development of the concept of tragedy? To answer these questions, in this paper a qualitative method is used, with data collection techniques through searching the literature that is considered important and relevant. One of the most important writings is the writings of Aristotle entitled "Poetics". The writing is the main reference in formulating the concept of tragedy. There are many things that have not been revealed in this study, such as expressing the rejection of the concept of tragedy by theatre thinkers. It seems that, to complete this paper, it would be better if later there were researchers or writers who tried to examine this matter.

Setelah uraian teater dalam dua periode tersebut dilakuan, akan dibahas secara singkat tentang klasifikasi kelompok-kelompok teater Bandung sesuai dengan tempat kelompok teater itu eksis, dan pada bagian terakhir akan dilihat posisi kelompok teater STB di antara kelompok-kelompok teater lainnya di Bandung

Farmers are an important figure in the sustainability of agriculture. Its development has not escaped the contribution and hard work of the farmers who have been cultivating the agricultural land so far. However, it cannot be denied that currently Indonesian agriculture is experiencing a recovery crisis. Many farmers only come from the old class with a low average education. In fact, many farmers and non-farmers choose to go to the city and are forced to become coolies, migrant workers or other informal sectors due to their low income. Moreover, the youths who were rescued in the village. Farmers are a profession to be avoided. And the higher a person\u27s education, the more difficult or reluctant it is to become a farmer. This causes the number of farmers in Indonesia to continue to decrease. There are still many people and governments who are not aware of this issue, even though the impact it can have is enormous. So far too, not much work has raised the issue of farmer regeneration. Therefore, the writer is very interested in the facts that are happening in this country of Indonesia to be elevated into the play text with the satirical genre through an analogy approach. The things that have been mentioned above are packaged in a text entitled "Gecol", which raises the issue of the younger generation fighting for agriculture. However, due to the conflicts that approached his life, his vision to raise a generation of farmers changed and came to an abrupt halt.

Kearifan Lokal Hajat Laut Budaya Maritim Pangandaran
Full text linkABSTRACTHajat Laut (sea celebration) as a tradition of Pangandaran coastal community has been changing as thechanging of the people’s social structure. Pangandaran, a regency which is famous of sea tourism object,still maintains the ritual of Hajat Laut containing local wisdom. This writing is aimed at analyzinghow Hajat Laut as a primordial cultural heritage of nautical community adapts with the social economydevelopment of the people. Mircea Eliade’s view is applied to trace the old views containing local wisdom.Meanwhile, Thomas Kuhn’s proposition bridges the discussion on paradigm dynamics toward theevents of Hajat Laut. in addition to literature study, the data are obtained through observation basedon characteristics of qualitative research. The result shows that Hajat Laut as the heritage of primordialsociety passes through an interpretation process from each of the generations. The anomaly existingin the process of paradigm debates place Hajat Laut in the presence and position adjusting to the livedevelopment need of Pangandaran society as a tourism city. At the same time, the economic, social, andreligious needs are fulfilled by keep maintaining the local wisdom of the culture.Keywords: local wisdom, hajat laut, coastal, PangandaranABSTRAKHajat Laut sebagai tradisi masyarakat pesisir Pangandaran telah mengalami perubahandengan perubahan struktur sosial masyarakatnya. Tulisan ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana Hajat Laut sebagai warisan budayaprimordial masyarakat laut mengalami proses adaptasi dengan perkembangan sosial ekonomimasyarakatnya. Pemikiran Mircea Eliade digunakan untuk menelusuri jejak-jejak pemikiranlama yang bermuatan kearifan lokal. Sementara pandangan Thomas Kuhn menjembatani dalampembahasan dinamika paradigma terhadap peristiwa Hajat Laut. Selain studi pustaka, datadatapenelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi berdasarkan karakteristik penelitian kualitatif.Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa, Hajat Laut sebagai warisan masyarakat primordial melewatiproses interpretasi dari setiap generasinya. Anomali yang terjadi dalam proses perdebatanparadigma menempatkan Hajat Laut kini hadir dan mengalir sesuai dengan perkembangankebutuhan hidup masyarakat Pangandaran, sebagai kota wisata. Secara bersamaan pemenuhankebutuhan ekonomi, sosial, dan religi terpenuhi dengan tetap mempertahankan nilai-nilaikearifan lokal budayanya.Kata Kunci: kearifan lokal, hajat laut, pesisir, Pangandara

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
