A hybrid model to mitigate data gaps and fluctuations in tax revenue forecasting
This study addresses the critical challenge of advancing tax revenue forecasting models to effectively handle distinctive data gaps and inherent fluctuations in tax revenue data. These challenges are evident in Lampung Province, Indonesia, where limited temporal granularity and non-linear variability hinder accurate fiscal planning. Despite advancements in statistical, machine learning, and hybrid approaches, existing models often fall short in simultaneously managing these challenges. A hybrid model integrating random forest regressors for data interpolation and Long Short-Term Memory for capturing complex temporal patterns was proposed. The model was evaluated, achieving an R² of 0.86, root mean squared error (RMSE) of 9.65 billion, and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 3.49%. Although the model has limitations in generalizing to unseen data, the results demonstrate that it outperforms existing forecasting models regarding accuracy and reliability. Integrating random forest regressors and long short-term memory delivers a tailored solution to the complexities of tax revenue forecasting, contributing to fiscal forecasting and setting a foundation for further exploration into hybrid approaches

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Teknologi Informasi di Lampung Selatan melalui Pelatihan Prompt Kecerdasan Buatan
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on the education sector, especially for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teachers. Mastery of AI skills, particularly through prompt engineering techniques, is essential for teachers to create relevant, innovative, and curriculum-aligned questions and teaching materials. This community service activity aims to enhance the competencies of ICT teachers in Lampung Selatan, particularly at SMA Negeri 1 Kalianda and several other schools, in utilizing AI to support and enrich classroom learning. The main issue faced by the partner, the ICT teachers, is the lack of mastery of current technologies and limited knowledge of AI application in teaching. The implementation method includes literature study, face-to-face training, and evaluation of the activity\u27s results. The training material focuses on introducing the basic concepts of AI, applying prompt engineering techniques, and using prompts to create AI-based questions that align with the school\u27s learning needs. Evaluation results show that 89.4% of participants successfully mastered prompt engineering techniques and were able to implement them in creating questions and developing more effective teaching materials. This activity is expected to drive improvements in the quality of learning and support the sustainable implementation of AI in schools in Lampung Selatan
Pelatihan Pembuatan Website Untuk Peningkatan Publikasi Desa Wisata Di Desa Gebang, Kec. Padang Cermin, Kab. Pesawaran
Tourism is one of the rapidly growing industries in Indonesia and has proven to contribute a large income. Tourism will continue to grow in line with the development of industrialization and changes in people's lifestyles, who increasingly have the ability to travel and have more time to do so, especially in Indonesia. Gebang village is one of the villages located in Padang Cermin district, Pesawaran regency. Gebang village is a village with a large tourism object and mangrove conservation. This condition is supported by the availability of observation tracks along the coast and even entering the mangrove forest area, making this area one of the important natural/educational tourism destinations in Lampung province. By combining the use of technology and information systems, it is expected that Gebang village can display public information that serves as a promotional medium to introduce the profile and objects of Gebang village tourism. The village website can also be used as a portal for an integrated database system. Based on the assessment of the Pesawaran Regency government, Gebang village has sufficient resource readiness to utilize technology and information systems such as a website. This PKM (Community Service Program) activity aims to transfer knowledge in implementing and managing the Gebang Village Tourism website
