Nuorten kuulumisen tunne nuorisotilatoiminnassa
Full text linkTarkoituksena tässä opinnäytetyössä oli tutkia nuorten kuulumisen tunnetta nuorisotilatoiminnassa eli selvittää, miten nuoret tuntevat kuuluvansa osaksi ryhmää ja yhteisöä nuorisotilatoiminnassa sekä miten nuorten kuulumisen tunnetta voidaan vahvistaa osana osallisuutta nuorisotilatoiminnassa. Tavoitteena oli saada ajantasaista tietoa itse nuorilta, sillä he ovat ainoita, jotka voivat näihin kysymyksiin vastata. Tavoitteena oli mahdollistaa saadun tiedon avulla nuorisotilatoiminnan kehittämistä osallisuuden ja kuulumisen tunteen vahvistamisen suhteen. Tuloksia käytiin myös läpi työyhteisössä, josta nousi esille jatkoheittämiseen liittyviä ajatuksia.
Toimeksiantajana opinnäytetyössä on Vantaan kaupungin alueellinen nuorisotyö, joka on osa Vantaan nuoriso- ja yhteisöpalveluita. Opinnäytetyön tutkimus toteutettiin laadullisena tutkimuksena Korson nuorisotilalla sekä Mikkolan nuorisotilalla, Korso-Koivukylän alueella. Aineisto kerättiin teemallisilla yksilöhaastatteluilla sekä sähköisellä kyselyllä. Näihin osallistui alueelta 11 vastaajaa.
Tutkimustuloksissa ilmeni, että nuoret pitävät itseään tärkeinä ja merkityksellisinä nuorisotiloilla. Nuorten kuulumisen tunteen tämänhetkinen tilanne alueella on hyvä. Kuulumisen tunteen kokemusta vahvistavat erityisesti kaverisuhteet, nuorisotyöntekijöiden toiminta sekä nuorisotiloilla järjestettävä toiminta ja harrastusmahdollisuudet. Tuloksista nousi myös kuulumisen tunteen kokemusta estäviä tekijöitä, joita olivat nuorisotyöntekijöiden useat työtehtävät, jolloin yhden nuoren kanssa ei voitu viettää nuoren kokemuksen mukaan tarpeeksi aikaa, tilanteet, joissa nuoria on yhtä aikaa paljon tilalla sekä tilanteet, joissa nuori kokee yksinäisyyttä, kun käy tilalla ilman omaa kaveriporukkaa.
Tutkimustulokset kertovat, että jo nyt tehdään paljon työtä sen eteen, että nuorilla olisi vahva kokemus kuulumisen tunteesta käydessään nuorisotilalla. Kuitenkin erityisesti yksin nuorisotilalla käyvien nuorten tilanteeseen tulee kiinnittää huomiota ja vahvistaa osallisuuden kokemuksia ja kertoa nuorille vielä enemmän heidän vaikuttamismahdollisuuksistaan nuorisotiloilla. Toimeksiantaja sai opinnäytetyön avulla ajantasaista tietoa nuorten kuulumisen tunteesta nuorisotilatoiminnassa alueella ja voi hyödyntää niitä alueellisen nuorisotyön toiminnan kehittämiseen
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
Nuorten osallisuus tulevaisuusseminaarin suunnittelussa
Full text linkTämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli selvittää nuorten osallisuutta Nuorten tulevaisuusseminaarin suunnittelussa, sillä nuorten osallisuus on ajankohtainen, arvokas ja tärkeä aihe. Nuorten tulevaisuusseminaarin suunnitteluun osallistuu nuoria eri puolelta Suomea, eri evankelis-luterilaisista seurakunnista. Opinnäytetyössä haluttiin myös lisäksi kartoittaa, millaisiin asioihin nuoret ovat voineet vaikuttaa ja millaisiin asioihin he haluaisivat tulevaisuudessa vaikuttaa omassa seurakunnassaan. Opinnäytetyössä tutkittiin myös sitä, mitkä asiat seminaarissa olivat onnistuneita ja olisiko seminaarissa jotain kehitettävää. Opinnäytetyö on tehty yhteistyössä Lasten ja nuorten keskus ry:n kanssa, joka on yksi Nuorten tulevaisuusseminaaria järjestävistä tahoista.
Opinnäytetyössä käytettiin tutkimusmenetelmänä kyselytutkimusta. Kyselytutkimus toteutettiin elokuussa 2020. Nuorten osallisuutta ja kokemuksia tutkittiin kyselyllä, joka sisälsi numeerista arviointia sekä avoimia kysymyksiä.
Alle puolet tulevaisuusseminaarin suunnitteluun osallistuneista nuorista vastasi kyselytutkimukseen. Vähäisestä vastaajamäärästä huolimatta tutkimus antoi vastauksia tutkimuskysymyksiimme. Erityisesti informaatiota antoivat kyselyn avokysymykset. Yleisellä tasolla nuoret ovat olleet tyytyväisiä Nuorten tulevaisuusseminaarin järjestämiseen liittyvissä asioissa ja he kokivat päässeensä osallistumaan sen suunnitteluun. Nuoret ovat myös päässeet vaikuttamaan omien seurakuntiensa asioihin ja ovat edelleen kiinnostuneita vaikuttamismahdollisuuksista. Seminaaria järjestäviin työntekijöihin ja heidän toimintaansa oltiin tyytyväisiä.The aim of this thesis was to find out the participation of young people in Nuorten tulevaisuus seminar, because the participation of young people is a topical, valuable and important topic. Young people from different parts of Finland, from
different Evangelical Lutheran congregations, are participating in the planning of the seminar for the future of young people. We also wanted to know what things young people have been able to influence and what things they would like to influence in their own church in the future. We also explored what worked in the seminar and whether there was anything to be developed in the seminar. The thesis has been done in co-operation with Lasten ja Nuorten keskus ry, which is one of the parties organizing the seminar.
In the thesis, we used a survey as a research method. The survey was implemented in August 2020. We surveyed young people's participation and experiences with a survey that included numerical evaluation and open-ended questions.
Less than half of the young people who participated in the planning of the seminar responded to the survey. Despite the small number of respondents, the survey provided answers to the issues we studied. In particular, the information was provided by the open-ended questions of the survey. In general, young people have been satisfied with the organization of the seminar and feel that they have been able to take part in its planning. Young people have also been able to influence the affairs of their own congregations and are still interested in opportunities to influence. The employees who organized the seminar and their activities were satisfied
