    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Berdasarkan masalah mengenai penerapan kurikulum pendidikan multikultural yang dikembangkan di Sekolah Dasar Tanah Tingal, maka mendorong penulis termotivasi untuk melakukan penelitian tentang bagaimana penerapan kurikulum pendidikan multikultural dikembangkan di Sekolah Dasar Tanah Tingal dan bagaimana pelaksanaan pembelajaran pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Dasar Tanah Tingal. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengamati pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan penerapan pendidikan multikultural di Sekolah Dasar Tanah Tingal. Dari hasil wawancara, pengamatan/observasi dapat diketahui bahwa kurikulum di Sekolah Dasar Tanah Tingal sudah menerapkan pendidikan multikultural dan diajarkan kepada siswa meskipun ada beberapa komponen yang belum mendukung adanya penerapan pendidikan multikultural. hal. ini terbukti dari hasil angket dan observasi yang membuktikan bahwa para guru sebagian besar menerapkan pendidikan multikultural dengan menggunakan metode yang bervariasi pada saat proses belajar mengajar baik didalam atau diluar kelas dan pada saat sekolah mengadakan kegiatan-kegiatan seperti kegiatan pengembangan karakter, hari budaya, welcome day dan kegiatan lainnya yang bertujuan untuk melatih para siswanya agar bisa mandiri, saling menghargai, saling bekerjasama dan menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan sesama teman, guru, orang tua dan pegawai lainnya yang ada dilingkungan sekola

    Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used

    ABSTRAK Pada kenyataannya, akhir-akhir ini gaung kebebasan hubungan seksual dengan berbagai akibatnya kian meningkat, Tampaknya ada semacam perubahan situasi dan kondisi dikalangan anak muda, bahwasanya jika sepasang muda mudi yang sedang berpacaran, tidak melakukan hubungan seksual dianggap ketinggalan zaman. Meningkatnya hubungan seksual pra-nikah dikaitkan dengan adanya kemudahan mendapat alat kontrasepsi dan publikasinya begitu banyak dan jelas. Namun demikian, gejala ini tak lepas bagaimana individu memberi nilai untuk dirinya sendiri, artinya diharapkan individu mampu mengatur motif-motif yang mempengaruhi individu untuk melakukan perilaku dalam bentuk nyata. Sejalan dengan yang tersebut di atas, sikap dan keyakinan terhadap diri seseorang dalam berhubungan dengan lingkungan dan merupakan paduan dari sejumlah persepsi diri yang mempengaruhi dan bahkan menentukan persepsi dan tingkah laku. Sedangkan prilaku seksual pra-nikah dapat dilihat atau dipantau dengan 3 tehnik yaitu self monitoring, self reward, dan stimulus control. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini, untuk menggambarkan atau mendeskripsikan tentang kondisi motif yang dimiliki siswa, kondisi prilaku seksual pra-nikah dan motif apa saja yang mempengaruhi prilaku seksual pra-nikah remaja. Dalam penelitian pengumpulan digunakan angket dengan uji validitas dan reliabilitas menggunakan Product Moment. Sedangkan analisis data dengan prosentase tiap variabel. Dari analisis penelitian didapatkan hasil sebagai berikut 63% memiliki motif tinggi, 27,8/٥o memiliki motif agak rendah dan 9,3% memiliki motif rendah. Untuk prilaku seksual 42,6% memiliki prilaku seksual yang tinggi, 33,3% memiliki prilaku seksuaf agak tinggi, 13% memiliki prilaku seksual yang agak rendah dan yang terakhir 11,1% memiliki prilaku seksual yang rendah. Dan yang terakhir menunjukkan ada hubungan yarg negatif antara motif dalam prilaku seksual pra-nikith remaja yang signifikan dengan nilai rxy -0,275 dan p 0,0431. Artinya seseorang remaja yan memiliki motif diri keluarga yang tinggi maka prilaku seksual pra-nikahnya rendah begitu sebaliknya. Dari hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa motif yang mempengaruhi remaja untpk melakukan prilaku seksual pra-nikah adalah diri keluarga, diri sosial dan diri keimanan. Beberapa saran dapat diberikan kepada (1) lembaga BK dapat memaksimalkan fungsi sebagai pembina dan pembimbing bagi siswa. (2) untuk siswa dengan mempunyai motif yang baik diupayakan menjaga kualitasnya. ABSTRACT In fact, free sex and it’s conseqitence being very common lately. It seem there was new view among teenagers, that lover who haven’t taste free sex it, otir century now are old fashion man. Some scholarship notices the rising of this habits are because of clear commercial contraception and the contraception medicine that easy to find. However, It would be happen to any person when they could notice themselves. In another word, a person should be able to control his motifs that influence their attitude in their lives. Beyond on that condition, the attitude and belief’s of a person, which connected to their condition and compound of a lot of self perception could influence and moreover could, established tlieir attitude. And we could see free sex before marriage with three techniques, that is self-monitoring, self-reward and stimulus control. This research’s purpose is to describe motif condition’s student, free sex before marriage attitude and any motif that influence free sex before marriage behavior. The data collection of this research is using validity test pooling and product moment for its reliability. And we use percentage for each variable for data analysis. From research’s analysis we found that 63"٠> have a high motif. 27,5٥'0 have approximately motif, and 9,1% of them having low motif. In their sexual behavior, 42,6% have high sexual behavior, 33,3% have little bit high sexual beiiavior, and 13% have little bit low sexual behavior, and 11,1% have low sexual behavior. From that condition shows that there negative relation between motif and free sexual behavior. And this research using value of rxy 0,275 and p (),0431. It means a teenager, which ha؛; high self-motif of family have low free sexual behavior And that condition happens in the contrary. We could conclude from this research that a motif that influence teenager of having free sexual behavior is motif’s family, social rnotifand religion motifs Some advise we could attempt here (ا) BK institution hoped increase their function as guide and tutor for their student.
