Dark Tourism aplicando realidad aumentada en la ciudad de Ibarra
No full textLa ciudad de Ibarra revela un prometedor potencial para el desarrollo de atracciones turísticas, en especial en el ámbito del 'dark tourism', y más aún al aprovechar la tecnología de realidad aumentada. Esta oportunidad se presenta como un camino claro hacia la incorporación de dicha tecnología, abarcando no solo cementerios, sino también viviendas con historias de espíritus, leyendas y lugares relacionados con experiencias paranormales. La aplicación de esta tecnología se vislumbra como un factor competitivo tanto a nivel local como nacional, lo cual abarca beneficios significativos para toda la comunidad. Por consiguiente, el presente estudio propone la conceptualización de una ruta turística que integre lo paranormal y la innovación tecnológica. Para su desarrollo, se emplearon enfoques de investigación cualitativos y cuantitativos, integrando métodos analíticos, sintéticos y deductivos. Asimismo, se llevó a cabo un exhaustivo análisis bibliográfico, investigaciones de campo y comparativas, haciendo uso de técnicas como la observación, cuadros comparativos y encuestas. La muestra, compuesta por 64 turistas y residentes de Ibarra, se seleccionó de manera no probabilística por conveniencia. Los resultados obtenidos exponen información detallada sobre el grado de interés en el dark tourism y la realidad aumentada por parte de los encuestados. Con base en estos hallazgos, se plantea la creación de un prototipo de ruta turística en Ibarra que integre la tecnología de realidad aumentada y el dark tourism, con el objetivo de atraer tanto a turistas como a residentes, proporcionándoles experiencias turísticas vanguardistas y fuera de lo común.The city of Ibarra reveals a promising potential for the development of tourist attractions, especially in the field of dark tourism” and even more so by taking advantage of augmented reality technology. This opportunity is presented as a clear path towards the incorporation of such technology, covering not only cemeteries, but also homes with stories of spirits, legends and places related to paranormal experiences. The application of this technology is seen as a competitive factor both locally and nationally, which encompasses significant benefits for the entire community. Therefore, the present study proposes the conceptualization of a tourist route that integrates the paranormal and the technological innovation. For its development, qualitative and quantitative research approaches were employed, integrating analytical, synthetic, and deductive methods. Likewise, and end exhaustive bibliographic analysis, field and comparative research were carried out, making use of techniques such as observation, comparative tables, and surveys. The sample, composed of 64 tourist and residents of Ibarra, was a non-probabilistically for convenience. The results obtained expose detailed information on the degree of interest in dark tourism and augmented reality by the participants. Based in these findings, the creation of a prototype of a tourist route in Ibarra that integrates augmented reality and dark tourism is proposed, with the aim of attracting both tourists and residents, providing them with avant-garde and unusual tourist experiences

No full textEl presente trabajo, desarrolla un “Diseño de un instituto tecnológico superior para personas con discapacidad visual en Ibarra”, ubicada en el sector del barrio “La Victoria”, que mediante un análisis de la situación actual se evidencia que no existe un equipamiento arquitectónico de carácter educativo que ofrezca un adecuado servicio y de confort para las personas con discapacidad visual. Es una contribución investigativa que revela lo importante que es para la ciudad, el poder contar con una edificación educativa que cumpla con todos los requisitos como son de accesibilidad y movilidad, espacios adecuados con mobiliarios acorde y una correcta señalización horizontal tanto internamente como del entorno inmediato y así brinde un servicio de calidad a sus usuarios que en este caso serian personas discapacitadas. Conforme se desarrolla la investigación en el sector La Victoria, se plantea la estructura metodológica a partir del análisis y diagnóstico del lugar, se da una aproximación de resultados de indicadores urbanos hacia la arquitectura, además de conceptos hacia el paisaje en la arquitectura; así mismo se implementará el concepto de regeneración urbana como tratamiento urbano basado en referentes nacionales e internacionales.The present work develops a “Design of a higher technological institute for people with visual disabilities in Ibarra”, located in the “La Victoria” neighborhood sector, which through an analysis of the current situation shows that there is no architectural equipment of educational nature that offers adequate service and comfort for people with visual disabilities. It is a research contribution that reveals how important it is for the city to have an educational building that meets all the requirements such as accessibility and mobility, adequate spaces with appropriate furniture and correct horizontal signage both internally and in the immediate environment. and thus provide a quality service to its users who in this case would be disabled people. As the research develops in the La Victoria sector, the methodological structure is proposed based on the analysis and diagnosis of the place, an approximation of the results of urban indicators towards architecture is given, as well as concepts towards the landscape in architecture; Likewise, the concept of urban regeneration will be implemented as an urban treatment based on national and international references

No full textEl presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad la realización de una app para teléfonos celulares o dispositivos electrónicos con sistema Android de información gastronómica de las comunidades de Carpuela y El Chota, con el propósito de rescatar la gastronomía de estas comunidades, cabe recalcar que se utilizaron investigaciones previas de (Guerrero, 2017) y (Salazar, Parra, Guerrero, 2020) como referencia de estudio a la creación de la App para dispositivos Android. Se realizó una investigación descriptiva, de carácter no experimental, donde se recopiló información de fuentes primarias Se aplicaron encuestas y entrevistas para determinar el problema en la que se recabó información, se observó, analizó y se diagnosticó que la gastronomía de la provincia de Imbabura y específicamente de las comunidades de Carpuela y El Chota se está perdiendo en el transcurso de los años de generación en generación, con el propósito de que la gastronomía de nuestros pueblos no se extinga, hoy en día la tecnología está avanzando a pasos agigantados es oportuno implementar la app, para que esta aplicación sea descargada en teléfonos inteligentes con finalidad de atraer y fomentar el turismo en el Cantón Ibarra particularmente en las comunidad de Carpuela y El Chota.The purpose of this research is to carry out an app for cell phones or electronic devices with an android system of gastronomic information from the communities of Carpuela and El Chota, with the purpose of rescuing the gastronomy of these places. It is important to notice that previous studies of (Guerrero 2017) and (Salazar,Parra) were used in order to have a reference to the creation of the App for Android devices. Also a non-experimental, descriptive investigation was carried out. All of the investigation was collected from primary sources. Surreys and interviews were applied to determine the problem to observe, analyze and diagnose the gastronomy of Imbabura province specially on the communities of Carpuela and El Chota that have been lost over the years from generation to generation, with the purpose that gastronomy of these towns can not become extinct. Today technology is advancing in a faster way and it is suitable to implement the app, In that order this application can be download on smartphones to attract and promote tourism in Ibarra canton, particularly in the communities of Carpuela and El Chota

She has recently been appointed Director of Creative Development at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, an innovative exhibition venue located at Federation Square in Melbourne, due to open later this year. She is currently Chair of the Visual Arts/Crafts Board of the Australia Council. From 1991 to 2001 she was Curator of Contemporary Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the numerous exhibitions she has curated have received substantial critical acclaim. She is the author of many articles, catalogue essays and edited collections, and books on artists Marion Borgelt and Eugene Carchesio.
