The role of obesity in the implementation of genetic predisposition to the development of essential hypertension in men
BACKGROUND: Obesity is considered a non-infectious pandemic, and the increase in its spread is a serious medical and social problem. High values of body mass index closely correlate with arterial hypertension and its complications, but the effect of obesity on the realization of hereditary susceptibility to essential hypertension (EH) remains poorly understood. AIMS: To study the associations of polymorphic loci of MMPs with the development of EH in men depending on the presence of obesity. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was conducted in a case-control design. Surveyed 821 men – 564 patients with hypertension and 257 patients of the control group. Groups of patients and controls were divided into subgroups depending on the presence of obesity. All men were genotyped for eight polymorphic loci of MMPs. Nonsynonymous SNPs were detected using the software SIFT (https://sift.bii.a-star.edu.sg/). The regulatory potential was studied using the HaploReg service (https://pubs.broadinstitute.org/mammals/haploreg/haploreg.php). The association of SNPs with the expression level was detected using GTEx-portal (http://www.gtexportal.org). RESULTS: It was found that in obese men allele A (OR=2.01; p=0.01) and genotype GG (OR=0.42, p=0.01) of rs11568818 MMP7 are associated with the essential hypertension. In men without obesity allele 6A (OR=1.32; p=0.04) of rs3025058 MMР3 and genotypes GG (OR=1.52; p=0.04) and GA (OR=0.63; p=0.03)) of rs17577 MMP9 are associated with the development of the disease. These SNPs located in region of promoter and enhancer histone marks, in the region of hypersensitivity to DNAse-1, in binding sites of regulatory proteins and transcription factors. These SNPs associated with the level of gene expression. CONCLUSIONS: In this study we established associations with the development of EH of SNP rs11568818 MMP7 in obese men and of SNPs rs3025058 MMР3 and rs17577 MMP9 in non-obese men. © 2019 Russian Association of Endocrinologists. Gamma-ray Albedo of Small Solar System Bodies
We calculate the {gamma}-ray albedo flux from cosmic-ray (CR) interactions with the solid rock and ice in Main Belt asteroids and Kuiper Belt objects (KBOs) using the Moon as a template. We show that the {gamma}-ray albedo for the Main Belt and KBOs strongly depends on the small-body mass spectrum of each system and may be detectable by the forthcoming Gamma Ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST). If detected, it can be used to derive the mass spectrum of small bodies in the Main Belt and Kuiper Belt and to probe the spectrum of CR nuclei at close-to-interstellar conditions. The orbits of the Main Belt asteroids and KBOs are distributed near the ecliptic, which passes through the Galactic center and high Galactic latitudes. Therefore, the {gamma}-ray emission by the Main Belt and Kuiper Belt has to be taken into account when analyzing weak {gamma}-ray sources close to the ecliptic. The asteroid albedo spectrum also exhibits a 511 keV line due to secondary positrons annihilating in the rock. This may be an important and previously unrecognized celestial foreground for the INTErnational Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) observations of the Galactic 511 keV line emission including the direction of the Galactic center. Some questions of the kinetics of thermal decomposition of kerogen
This article discusses the main instruments and methods for studying the kinetics of decomposition of organic matter in oil source rocks (kerogen). The advantages and disadvantages of thermal analysis devices (TGA, DSC, Rock-Eval) and methods for obtaining kinetic information are considered. It is shown that an incorrect determination of the temperature and reaction mechanism leads to a colossal error in the determination of the activation energy and the preexponential factor

Deciphering the Local Interstellar Spectra of Primary Cosmic-Ray Species with HelMod
Local interstellar spectra (LIS) of primary cosmic ray (CR) nuclei, such as helium, oxygen, and mostly primary carbon are derived for the rigidity range from 10 MV to ∼200 TV using the most recent experimental results combined with the state-of-the-art models for CR propagation in the Galaxy and in the heliosphere. Two propagation packages, GALPROP and HelMod, are combined into a single framework that is used to reproduce direct measurements of CR species at different modulation levels, and at both polarities of the solar magnetic field. The developed iterative maximum-likelihood method uses GALPROP-predicted LIS as input to HelMod, which provides the modulated spectra for specific time periods of the selected experiments for model-data comparison. The interstellar and heliospheric propagation parameters derived in this study are consistent with our prior analyses using the same methodology for propagation of CR protons, helium, antiprotons, and electrons. The resulting LIS accommodate a variety of measurements made in the local interstellar space (Voyager 1) and deep inside the heliosphere at low (ACE/CRIS, HEAO-3) and high energies (PAMELA, AMS-02)

Summary
143 pregnant and 20 non-pregnant women have been examined. The objective: to determine the information content of the vaginal fluid pH. Methods used: Cytological, standard microbiological, real time PCR, the measurement of vaginal fluid pH. Results: five types of vaginal microbiota have been revealed, as well as a clear link of pH and the quantitative characteristic of microflora, high inverse correlation with estradiol content was shown, and correspondence to the number of gestation complications and the number of inflammatory diseases of the somatic plan was proved. The authors recommend to use pH of the vaginal fluid as an indicator of the state of vaginal biotope in the course of pregnancy.
Keywords: pH of the vaginal secretion, vaginal biotope pregnancy
FILM-PORTRAIT IN UKRAINIAN DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKING ART
The purpose of the article is an attempt to outline the main ideological and thematic tendencies that prevail in the films created in the genre of documentary film-portrait. The research field of the article is based on the content produced by the Ukrainian Studio of Chronicle and Documentary Films over the period of 2003–2005. The article concerns the features of the film-portrait genre, its varieties and modifications. The research methodology consisted in the application of the methods of scientific analysis in order to elucidate the manifestation of interpretations of the documentary film-portrait genre. The subject of the study was motion pictures by the following documentary filmmakers: Volodymyr Artemenko, Yevhen Honcharov, Vadym Yermolenko, Heorhii Davydenko, and Inna Dernova. Based on their films, the author considered the degree of the manipulative in the relationship between the author and the hero, regarding the process of creating a film-portrait as a mutual experience that is important for both parties. Conclusions. Focusing on the modes of creation and perception by the filmmakers of the hero of their film, the author concluded that making a documentary film-portrait is a responsible choice not only for the author but also for their hero. The analysis of the documentary motion pictures by the “Ukrkinokhronika” studio revealed an obvious tendency towards expanding the scope of the film-portrait genre, which is created by each director in their own way, and demonstrated the ultimate need for creating portraits within the range of additional genres, depending on the purpose of the director’s plan
