LASERCOOLED RaF AS A LABORATORY FOR TESTING FUNDAMENTAL SYMMETRIES
Author Institution: Clemens-Schopf Institute, Technical University of Darmstadt, 64287 Darmstadt, GermanyModern spectroscopical methods allow to reach an accuracy in measurements of molecular spectra that is sufficient for testing symmetry violation in fundamental weak interactions. As was demonstrated in recent experimental search for a permanent electric dipole moment of the electron in YbF [1] and PbO [2], diatomic molecules with an open electronic shell present extremely powerful instrument to study violations of space parity (-odd) and space parity and time reversal (-odd) symmetries. In this talk we discuss the enhancement of -odd and -odd effects in diatomic molecules and consider some prospective candidates for carrying out successful measurements. Radium monofluoride is shown to be a very prospective molecular candidate for observing possible symmetry violations due to its predicted suitability to direct laser cooling [3], large enhancement factors (both electronic and nuclear) [4] and efficient (for the given class of molecules) production route. \\~ REFERENCES: \begin{enumerate} \item J. AUTHOR STRATEGIES IN RYURIK IVNEV’S “SUN IN THE COFFIN”. BOOK OF POEMS
The author’s problem in Ryurik Ivnev’s ‘The Sun in the Coffin’ (1921) is studied from the author’s perspectives. It is concluded that at least three Ryurik Ivnev’s strategies as an author can be distinguished: the first, the least obvious, coming from his youthful excitement about Nadson’s neo-romantic poetry, Baudelaire’s and Blok’s symbolism and appearing in a very weakened form, can be called a decadent one. The second strategy is determined by the poet’s recent belonging to egofuturism. The third one was formed under the influence of imaginism aesthetics, to which the poet was attracted when writing the book. Ryurik Ivnev’s strategies, spontaneously but sometimes consciously, were aimed at forming the literary image of the author, identified with the persona. The themes and motives of the book are concentrated around the hypertrophic and screened in the text «I» which becomes the center of Ryurik Ivnev’s poetic worldview. All the strategies are intricately intertwined and give rise to the quality of the style that distinguishes sharply ‘The Sun in the Coffin’ against the background of the Russian poetry of the 1920s and which can be referred to as surrealism
The Development of Quantitative and Credit-Monetary Approaches in the Russian Economic Literature of the Nineteenth Century (On the 170th Anniversary of the Birth of A.A. Isaev)
This article examines quantitative and credit-monetary approaches in nineteenthcentury
Russian and foreign literature. Its analysis of the theoretical works of
N.I. Turgenev, M.M. Speransky, V.P. Bezobrazov, I.I. Kaufman, A.Ya. Antonovich, A.A. Isaev,
A.N. Miklashevsky, P.P. Migulin and other Russian economists shows that among the
supporters of quantitative and credit-monetary concepts, a divergence of views
occurred with relation to the tools and main institutions of the regulation of exchange.
The author investigates the structure and key positions of the Russian model of state
credit money. This model arose at the point where the interests of the subjects of the
market and of the state economy “intersected” during the period of economic evolution
and of the growth of capitalist production, at the same time as the institutions of feudal
law were preserved. The conclusion is reached that theories of money serve to deepen
our understanding of the mechanisms of market exchange during a period marked by
intensive searches for a new type of monetary system
Russia and Egypt: Conflicts in the political elite and protest movements in 2011–2012
AbstractThis article describes some reasons that initiated protest movements in Russia and Egypt in 2011. The author thinks that the conflict in the political elite made was an important background that made thousands of people take to the streets of the cities. Russian and Egyptian political systems, that seem to be so different, had much in common in fact: hidden struggle between conservative «people of force» and liberals. The situation was aggravated by the coming elections and consequences of the international economic crisis. The research is based on Russian and Egyptian Media materials
Истоки ближневосточного конфликта: образование Государства Израиль
The article is a summary of the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict with the analysis of the role played by the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union and the United States. The author traces the history of Jewish colonization of Palestine since the beginning of the 19th century., the rise of the Zionist movement and Zionist approach to the local Arab population. The main part of the paper discusses various attempts to resolve the conflict first under the British Mandate, and then in the framework of the UN Special Commission on Palestine. Special attention is paid to the position of the superpowers. The author consideres in detail the reasons for Arab’s defeat in the first Arab-Israeli war and its outcome: the acquisition of Israel, the Palestinian refugee problem, the change of the international position of Israel. At the conclusion, the authorpovides us with an analysis of reasons for the Israeli gradual turn towards the United States and the temporary break in relations with the USSR in 1953.
Twenty-one lectures on complex analysis: a first course
At its core, this concise textbook presents standard material for a first course in complex analysis at the advanced undergraduate level. This distinctive text will prove most rewarding for students who have a genuine passion for mathematics as well as certain mathematical maturity. Primarily aimed at undergraduates with working knowledge of real analysis and metric spaces, this book can also be used to instruct a graduate course. The text uses a conversational style with topics purposefully apportioned into 21 lectures, providing a suitable format for either independent study or lecture-based teaching. Instructors are invited to rearrange the order of topics according to their own vision. A clear and rigorous exposition is supported by engaging examples and exercises unique to each lecture; a large number of exercises contain useful calculation problems. Hints are given for a selection of the more difficult exercises. This text furnishes the reader with a means of learning complex analysis as well as a subtle introduction to careful mathematical reasoning. To guarantee a student’s progression, more advanced topics are spread out over several lectures. This text is based on a one-semester (12 week) undergraduate course in complex analysis that the author has taught at the Australian National University for over twenty years. Most of the principal facts are deduced from Cauchy’s Independence of Homotopy Theorem allowing us to obtain a clean derivation of Cauchy’s Integral Theorem and Cauchy’s Integral Formula. Setting the tone for the entire book, the material begins with a proof of the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra to demonstrate the power of complex numbers and concludes with a proof of another major milestone, the Riemann Mapping Theorem, which is rarely part of a one-semester undergraduate course
Geometry and Analysis Seminar
Kobayashi-hyperbolic manifolds are an object of active research in complex geometry. In this monograph the author presents a coherent exposition of recent
results on complete characterization of Kobayashi-hyperbolic manifolds with high-dimensional groups of holomorphic automorphisms. These classification results can be viewed as
complex-geometric analogues of those known for Riemannian manifolds with high-dimensional isotropy groups, that were extensively studied in the 1950s-70s. The common feature of the
Kobayashi-hyperbolic and Riemannian cases is the properness of the actions of the holomorphic automorphism group and the isometry group on respective manifolds
Hyperbolic 2-dimensional manifolds with 3dimensional automorphism group
In this paper we determine all Kobayashi-hyperbolic 2–dimensional complex mani-folds for which the group of holomorphic automorphisms has dimension 3. This work concludes a recent series of papers by the author on the classification of hyperbolic n–dimensional manifolds, with automorphism group of dimension at least n2 1, where n 2. 32Q45, 32M0
