Measurements of radon concentrations in Spa waters in Amasya, Turkey
No full textInternational Conference on Advances in Natural and Applied Sciences (ICANAS) -- APR 21-23, 2016 -- Antalya, TURKEYWOS: 000376001000123The aim of this study is to determine the radon concentrations in thermal waters in the Amasya basin in Turkey and to explore the relationship between radon anomalies and active geological faults. The radon concentration measurements were performed in four thermal Spas around Amasya basin. The water samples were collected from tap waters in thermal water sources. The obtained radon concentrations ranged from 0.15 +/- 0.12 to 0.71 +/- 0.32 Bql(-1) for Spa waters. The relationship between the radon concentration anomalies and earthquakes that occurred in the sampling period are discussed

The interest in using corpora and corpus-based materials in language teaching and research continues to grow. Over the past few years, research by second language teaching specialists has emphasized the importance of using corpora and corpus-based materials in the second language learning classroom. This is true not only for research articles (Conrad 1999, Cortes 2007), but also for academic conferences such as those organized by the American Association of Corpus Linguistics (AACL).
