The Willmore flow of Hopf-tori in the -sphere
In this article, the author investigates flow lines of the classical Willmore
flow, which start to move in a smooth parametrization of a Hopf-torus in
. We prove that any such flow line of the Willmore flow exists
globally, in particular does not develop any singularities, and subconverges to
some smooth Willmore-Hopf-torus in every -norm. Moreover, if in addition
the Willmore energy of the initial immersion is required to be smaller
than or equal to the threshold , then the unique flow
line of the Willmore flow, starting to move in , converges fully to a
conformally transformed Clifford torus in every -norm, up to time
dependent, smooth reparametrizations. Key instruments for the proofs are the
equivariance of the Hopf-fibration w.r.t. the effect of the -gradient of the Willmore energy
applied to smooth Hopf-tori in and to smooth closed regular
curves in , a particular version of the Lojasiewicz-Simon
gradient inequality, and a well-known classification and description of smooth,
arc-length parametrized solutions of the Euler-Lagrange equation of the elastic
energy functional in terms of Jacobi Elliptic Functions and Elliptic Integrals,

Center Manifold Reduction of the Hopf-Hopf Bifurcation in a Time Delay System
In this work, a differential delay equation (DDE) with a cubic nonlinearity is analyzed as two parameters are varied by means of a center manifold reduction. This reduction is applied directly to the case where the system undergoes a Hopf-Hopf bifurcation. This procedure replaces the original DDE with four first-order ODEs, an approximation valid in the neighborhood of the Hopf-Hopf bifurcation. Analysis of the resulting ODEs shows that two separate periodic motions (limit cycles) and an additional quasiperiodic motion are born out of the Hopf-Hopf bifurcation. The analytical results are shown to agree with numerical results obtained by applying the continuation software package DDE-BIFTOOL to the original DDE. This system has analogues in coupled microbubble oscillators

Heisenberg-Lie commutation relations in Banach algebras.
Given q1, q2 ∈ ℂ { 0 }, we construct a unital Banach algebra Bq1, q2 that contains a universal normalised solution to the (q1, q2)-deformed Heisenberg-Lie commutation relations in the following specific sense
Jakob Andreae'nin vaazlarında Türk imgesi
Jakob Andreae'nin Vaazlarında Türk İmgesi adlı çalışmada, Protestan teolog Jakob Andreae'nin 1568 yılında yayımladığı Türkler Hakkında On Üç Vaaz adlı eseri Türk imgesi bağlamında incelenmiştir. Yazar söz konusu eserinde aynı yıl verdiği on üç Türk vaazını bir araya getirmiştir. In the study titled Turkish Image in the Sermons of Jakob Andreae, the Protestant theologian Jakob Andreae's Thirteen Sermons on the Turks, published in 1568, was examined in the context of the Turkish image. In his work, the author brought together thirteen Turkish sermons he gave in the same year. In addition to the study of the work, the Turkish image and Turkish sermons were also discussed in the study, and a comprehensive biography of Andreae was also included. As a result of the examination of the work, it was found that the author produced an anti-Turkish propaganda work. Reiterating the same negative concepts about Turks in his sermons, Andreae aimed to place Turks as tyrants, despots and enemies in the perception of society. The author also wanted to make the Christian community repent, stating that the Turks were sent as the punishment of God. The author, who used the Turks as a weapon in his struggle against the Catholic Church, showed the idolatry of the Catholic Church and the sins of the Christian community among the reasons why the Turks were sent as punishment. Andreae also warned the society that they should not be fooled by the positive aspects of the Turks, and thus wanted to prevent them from being sympathetic to the religion and administration of the Turks. In his views on Turks, the author generally did not deviate from the dominant Lutheran discourse of his time and tried to spread this discourse with his work
Jakob Wassermann Collection 1922-1991
The collection consists mainly of published and unpublished reminiscences about the author Jakob Wassermann by journalists and remote family mebers. Also included are two original autographs by Wassermann himself.Jakob Wassermann was born 1873 in Fuerth, Germany. He worked as a journalist in Germany and in Switzerland, before publishing his first novel ‘Melusine’ in 1896. He then moved to Austria where he lived alternatively in Vienna and in the spa-town Altaussee, where he died in 1934.digitize
A case of probable sporadic Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease
Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) is a fatal neurodegenerative brain disease. The author describes a case presented to primary care clinic whereby neuropsychiatric symptoms were the patient’s initial presentation which later manifested with declining cognitive impairment, myoclonus and extrapyramidal symptoms. A typical abnormal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features were observed. The patient succumbed within six months of presentation
Jakob Klöss: The printer of Decsi’s adagia- a printer and publisher in Bátfa
The author examines the reason why the press of the one-time Upper-Hungarian
town Bártfa (today Bardejov, Slovakia) owned by Jakob Klöss was chosen in 1598 to print Baranyai
Decsi’s Adagia, his third book to appear in Hungary. His former two works both dedicated to the
Transylvanian Prince Sigismund Báthory unlike his Adagia which was addressed by the author to
Georgius Warkocs were published in two different Transylvanian towns. It was very likely his person
that connected Baranyai Decsi and the printer of Bártfa. He was akin to several noble families resident
in Upper Hungary who financially supported a series of books issued by the printer Jakob
Klöss. It appears that it was to the advantage of Baranyai Decsi’s proverb-collection that it was issued
by a competent printer in a well-equipped office also supplied with Greek types. The author
also gives a reconstruction of the printing types used in Adagia
