Hva skaper en god jobb for profesjonelle interimledere? En kvalitativ studie av subjektive faktorer og jobbkvalitet
Get PDFFormålet med denne masteroppgaven var å undersøke hvilke faktorer som utformer jobbkvaliteten til profesjonelle interimledere, med et særlig fokus på deres subjektive opplevelser av arbeidet. Forskningen fokuserte på en gruppe høyt kvalifiserte ledere som har fått begrenset oppmerksomhet i tidligere studier, spesielt innen jobbkvalitet. Gjennom en kvalitativ tilnærming med semistrukturerte intervjuer har erfaringene og opplevelsene til ti interimledere blitt undersøkt, bestående av seks kvinner og fire menn. Ettersom tidligere forskning ikke har belyst profesjonelle interimlederes opplevelse av jobbkvalitet direkte, ble funnene analysert i lys av relevant forskning på jobbkvalitet, samt teori og forskning knyttet til selvstendig næringsdrivende.
Profesjonelle interimlederes arbeidshverdag består av to distinkte faser: i oppdrag og utenfor oppdrag, noe som gjenspeiles i analysen. I oppdrag ble leveransepress, variasjon, og arbeidslivsbalanse identifisert som sentrale faktorer som utformer jobbkvaliteten. Utenfor oppdrag var arbeidslivsbalanse og fleksibilitet, oppdragsanskaffelse og økonomisk buffer fremtredende faktorer. Analysen viste at det var flere likheter med funn fra tidligere forskning om jobbkvalitet i andre arbeidsforhold. Likevel fremkom også unike funn, blant annet hvordan et balansert leveransepress kunne oppleves som motiverende fremfor stressende. Videre viste funnene at jobbkvaliteten til de profesjonelle interimlederne utformes av et samspill mellom ulike faktorer som varierer avhengig av arbeidssyklusen.
Ved å belyse de tilsynelatende positive og negative aspektene ved profesjonelle interimlederes arbeidssituasjon, tilbyr studien ny innsikt i forskningen på jobbkvalitet og interimledelse. Resultatene peker på behovet for et mer helhetlig rammeverk i forskningen om jobbkvalitet, som tar hensyn til selvstendig næringsdrivendes unike arbeidssyklus. Studien bidrar til å fylle et viktig forskningsmessig tomrom og gir samtidig praktiske implikasjoner for hvordan aktører innen interimledelse kan tilrettelegge for å fremme positiv jobbkvalitet. Fremtidig forskning kan bygge videre på disse funnene ved å undersøke profesjonelle interimledere i ulike bransjer, kulturelle kontekster eller med et større utvalg informanter.The purpose of this master’s thesis was to investigate which factors shape the job quality of professional interim managers, with particular emphasis on their subjective experiences. The research focused on a group of highly qualified managers who have received limited attention in previous studies, especially in relation to job quality. Through a qualitative approach employing semi-structured interviews, the experiences and perceptions of ten interim managers were investigated, consisting of six women and four men. As previous research has not directly examined professional interim managers’ experiences of job quality, the findings were analyzed in the context of relevant job quality literature, as well as theory and research related to the self-employed.
The everyday working life of professional interim managers consists of two distinct phases: “on assignment” and “between assignments,” a duality reflected in the analysis. During assignments, delivery pressure, variety, and work-life balance were identified as key factors shaping job quality. Between assignments, work-life balance, flexibility, client acquisition, and maintaining an economic buffer emerged as prominent factors. The analysis revealed several similarities with previous findings on job quality in other employment contexts. Nonetheless, unique results also appeared, such as how a balanced level of delivery pressure could be experienced as motivating rather than stressful. Furthermore, the findings indicated that the job quality of professional interim managers is shaped by the interplay of various factors that fluctuate depending on their work cycle.
By highlighting both the seemingly positive and negative aspects of professional interim managers’ working conditions, this study provides new insight into research on job quality and interim management. The results underscore the need for a more holistic framework in job quality research, one that considers the unique work cycles of the self-employed. The study fills an important research gap and offers practical implications for how stakeholders in interim management can facilitate positive job quality. Future research may build on these findings by examining professional interim managers across different industries, cultural contexts, or with larger samples
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
