Intelligent transportation system and the case of Ho Chi Minh City
Get PDFThe development of science, technology, economy leads to the change of all aspects in society. Public management of transportation is not out of this indispensable tendency. In order to be suitable for society conditions and to acquire effectivity in transportation management, the state need to innovate policies in management and discover solutions to improve and perfect the transportation system.
Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest nucleus of trading, science, technology, economy, finance of Vietnam. While transportation and communications play the momentous function in giving an impulse to economic-social development, the Ho Chi Minh City transportation system exists disadvantages and affect the growth of city. To find out possibilities for the Ho Chi Minh City transportation system, the researcher studied “Intelligent transportation system and the case of Ho Chi Minh City”. This research is studied by using qualitative method, doing in-depth interviews from officials working in (1) Management Authority for Urban Railways of Ho Chi Minh City; (2) Department of Transportation and Communication of Ho Chi Minh City. The research revealed the role of government in transportation management, the change of strategy management in transportation to accord with the situation of current society. Strategy of transportation demand management is feasible for Ho Chi Minh City authorities to make policies in transportation and communication. The study then evaluates the need of building intelligent transportation and suggest appropriate solutions for Ho Chi Minh City transportation system. They are building smart car parks, electronic tickets, electronic toll collection system, traffic information collection two-stage left turn. The study also determined that Ho Chi Minh City needs to improve the transportation system first before applying intelligent transportation solutions
Not like my mother : truth and the author in creative nonfiction
No full textThis exegesis examines how a writer can effectively negotiate the relationship between author, character, fact and truth, in a work of Creative Nonfiction. It was found that individual truths, in a work of Creative Nonfiction, are not necessarily universal truths due to individual, cultural, historical and religious circumstances. What was also identified, through the examination of published Creative Nonfiction, is a necessity to ensure there are clear demarcation lines between authorial truth and fiction. The Creative Nonfiction works examined, which established this framework for the reader, ensured an ethical relationship between author and audience. These strategies and frameworks were then applied to my own Creative Nonfiction

Consumer-based Brand value: A study on Foreign Banks in Ho Chi Minh City Market
Get PDFThe article presents an empirical study to discover consumers’ perception on foreign banks’ brand value which is said as one of key drivers for business success. The study is aimed at assisting brand managers to track their brand value and hence to improve their product and service quality. The conceptual model is founded on a consumer-based approach to brand value. To validate the model, a survey of 183 interviewees was carried out in four popular foreign banks in Ho Chi Minh City: Citibank, HSBC, ANZ and Standard Chartered (SCB). The collected data was tested and analyzed by Exploratory Factor Analysis. The study reveals that Brand Knowledge, Brand Differentiation, Brand Relevance and Brand Esteem correlate closely to each other and have a strong affect to Consumer-based Brand Value. The findings are discussed and the implications for banks’ management are presented

The contemporary orthographic endeavors to no avail,
Reminding dialogues between self and space.
The eye’s picture,
Multiple moments;
Time distilled into material artifact.
Singular in composition, yet multiplicative by evoking identities in the viewer’s canonical ‘Bedroom.’ Found identities range from bodily to microscopic scales. Zoom in, explore, and analyze the character, ‘Bedroom.’ Serving both disciplines, this drawing informs a way toward a fused Art-Architectural creative practice.
