Matiti Village, Dolok Sanggul Subdistrict, Regency of Humbang Hasundutan.

Comunity forest at Matiti Village which is managed by business cooperatives
(KSU) Hutan Mas is the first business unit who apply Timber Legality Verification
Standard (SVLK) in North Sumatera. The resources which is in there have been
used by society of forest owners so that the continuity has to be observed.
Therefore, a research about evaluation of comunity forest at Matiti Village, Dolok
Sanggul Subdistrict, Regency of Humbang Hasundutan had been conducted at
November 2013 up to March 2014. This research is accord to criteria and
indicator of Sustainable Community of Forest Management (SCFM) with the
principle of forest health guaranteed and external environment to support SCFM.
This research was conducted by qualitative analysis method that is descriptive
analyted at criteria and indicator of SCFM, and quantitative analysis method that
give the score for each criteria and indicator. Management of comunity forest at
Matiti Village based on the principle of forest health guaranteed has an average
score 3,22 that fall within the criteria of good and based on the principle of
external environment to support SCFM has an average score 3,25 that fall within
the criteria of good too. In general, management of comunity forest at Matiti
Village, Dolok Sanggul Subdistrict, Regency of Humbang Hasundutan has an
average score of the two principles 3,23 that fall within the criteria of good.70 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan
