Perehdytyskansio Saimaan Helmi Oy:lle
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli luoda toimeksiantajayritykselle, Saimaan Helmi Oy:lle, kattava perehdytyskansio salityöskentelyn tueksi. Perehdytyskansioon on lisäksi sisällytetty sellaisia yleisiä asioita, joista on hyötyä uudelle työntekijälle.
Saimaan Helmi ravintola on ollut toiminnassa jo vuodesta 2000, mutta omistajavaihdoksen 2017 jälkeen ei yrityksellä ole päivitettyä perehdytyskansiota. Tästä syystä perehdytyskansio on ajankohtainen.
Perehdytyskansio on toteutettu toiminallisena opinnäytetyönä. Teoriaosuudessa keskityttiin siihen, millainen hyvä perehdytys on sekä käytiin läpi muutamaa ravintola-alaa koskevaa lakia. Myös työehtosopimusta käydään perehdytyskansiossa läpi.
Perehdytyskansio on luotu vain yrityksen omaan käyttöön
Mielenterveysyhdistys Helmi ry lounastoiminnan vaikutukset mielenterveyskuntoutujien arkeen ja hyvinvointiin
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tutkia mielenterveysyhdistys Helmi ry:n toiminnan vaikutuksia toimintaan osallistuvien henkilöiden arjessa. Tutkittava toiminta rajattiin tutkimaan Helmi ry:n lounastoimintaa ja toimintaan osallistuvien arjen rutiineja. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, onko lounastoiminnalla vaikutuksia toimintaan osallistuvien mielenterveyskuntoutujien arjen rutiinien muotoutumiseen. Toissijaisena tavoitteena oli toimintaan osallistuvien kokemuksien esiin tuominen Helmi ry:n toiminnasta.
Opinnäytetyö tehtiin yhteistyössä Vallilassa toimivan Mielenterveysyhdistys Helmi ry:n kanssa. Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen viitekehys muodostui kirjallisuudesta sekä internet tietokantojen avulla löydetyistä lähteistä. Käytetyt tietokannat olivat Theseus, Laurea Finna sekä Google Scholar. Opinnäytetyö on laadullinen tutkimus, jossa aineiston keruu toteutettiin puolistrukturoidulla teemahaastattelulla. Haastattelut nauhoitettiin, litteroitiin ja analysoitiin sisällönanalyysillä. Haastatteluihin osallistui kolme henkilöä. Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen viitekehys koostui seuraavista teemoista: mielenterveyskuntoutujia koskeva lainsäädäntö, mielenterveyspalvelut, palvelujärjestelmä, kolmas sektori, mielenterveys, hyvinvointi, arki, ja vertaistuki.
Sisällönanalyysin perusteella Helmi ry:n toiminnalla on vaikutuksia toimintaan osallistuvien henkilöiden arjessa. Osallistuminen Helmi ry:n toimintaan rytmitti ja muovasi arjen rutiineja. Toimintaan osallistuvat nostivat omien kokemuksiensa pohjalta esiin erityisesti toiminnan vertaistuelliset ja sosiaaliset hyödyt. Jatkokehittämisehdotuksena olisi lääkehoidon lisääminen teoreettiseen viitekehykseen ja lääkehoidon vaikutuksien tutkiminen arjen hyvinvoinnin parissa

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää haastattelun avulla, mikä saa mielenterveyskuntoutujan aloittamaan vapaaehtoistyön tekemisen, millainen merkitys vapaaehtoistoiminnalla on mielenterveyskuntoutujan arkeen, sekä miten taustaorganisaatio voi tukea vapaaehtoistoimijaa. Yhteistyötahona oli kolmannen sektorin toimija, Mielenterveysyhdistys Helmi ry. Helmi ry on matalan kynnyksen yhdistys, jonka toiminta tapahtuu pääsääntöisesti kahdella Helmi-talolla Helsingissä.

The aim of this thesis was to produce information about the factors that can motivate a mental health rehabilitator to start working as a volunteer. An interview was used to find out how volunteering affects the daily life of a volunteer and how the organisation can support their volunteers. The cooperation partner was a mental health organisation from the third sector called Helmi ry. Helmi ry offers low-threshold services that mainly take place in two locations in Helsinki, in Pasila and in Herttoniemi. All the interviewees for this thesis were mental health rehabilitators and they all worked as volunteers in Helmi ry.
This thesis was a qualitative research and the material was gathered using a semi-structured interview. The interviews were held on three days at Pasila and at Herttoniemi. Altogether eight (8) volunteers were interviewed. Each interview took an hour and the sessions were recorded. The recorded material was then transcribed and analysed into a simpler form using a content analysis. The main questions on this thesis were as follows:
1. What are the main factors that motivate a mental health rehabilitator to start working a as volunteer in a mental health organisation?
2. What is the meaning of volunteering for a mental health rehabilitator?
3. In which ways can Helmi ry support their volunteers?
According to the answers the conclusion is that volunteering and participating at Helmi ry is very empowering to many mental health rehabilitators. Volunteering added to the feeling of belonging to a community and through volunteering individuals felt important and needed. Volunteering also offered important experiences of succeeding in life. Helmi ry can support their volunteers by communicating efficiently via different news mediums such as social media, text messages and a notice board. The interviewees wished that the support from Helmi would be something concrete such as proper familiarisation, trips and small rewards.

Precise Asteroseismic Ages for the Helmi Streams
The Helmi streams are remnants of a dwarf galaxy that was accreted by the Milky Way and whose stars now form a distinct kinematic and chemical substructure in the Galactic halo. Precisely age-dating these typically faint stars of extragalactic origin has been notoriously difficult due to the limitations of using only spectroscopic data, interferometry, or coarse asteroseismic measurements. Using observations from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, we report detailed asteroseismic modeling results for two of the brightest red giants within the Helmi streams, HD 175305 and HD 128279. By modeling the individual oscillation mode frequencies and the spectroscopic properties of both stars, we determine their fundamental properties including mass, radius, and age (τ). We report τ = 11.16 ± 0.91 Gyr for HD 175305 and τ = 12.52 ± 1.05 Gyr for HD 128279, consistent with previously inferred star formation histories for the Helmi streams and the differential chemical abundances between the two stars. With precise ages for individual stream members, our results reinforce the hypothesis that the Helmi streams’ progenitor must have existed at least 12 Gyr ago. Our results also highlight that the ages of metal-poor, α-enhanced red giants can be severely underestimated when inferred using global asteroseismic parameters instead of individual mode frequencies.</p
Unveiling the past evolution of the progenitor of the Helmi streams
We aim to determine unique features that characterise the past evolution of
the progenitor of the Helmi streams through the analysis of star formation
histories (SFHs). From the 5D {\it Gaia} EDR3 dataset, we extracted local
samples of stars dominated by the Helmi streams, the Galactic (thick and thin)
disc, and the local retrograde halo. We did this by identifying regions in a
pseudo-Cartesian velocity space (obtained by setting line-of-sight velocities
to zero), where stars belonging to these components, as identified in samples
with 6D phase-space information, are predominantly found. We made use of an
updated absolute colour-magnitude diagram (CMD) fitting methodology to contrast
the SFHs of these samples to unveil distinct signatures of the past evolution
of a disrupted accreted system: the Helmi streams. To this end, special
attention was given to the correct characterisation of {\it Gaia} completeness
effects and observational errors on the CMD. We further investigated
alternative sample selections to improve the purity of our 5D Helmi stream
catalogues. We find that the progenitor of the Helmi streams experienced an
early star formation that was sustained for longer (until 7--9~Gyr ago) than
for the Milky Way halo (10--11~Gyr ago). As a consequence, half of its stellar
mass was in place ~0.7~Gyr later. The quenching of star formation in the
Helmi stream progenitor ~8~Gyr ago suggests it was accreted by the Milky
Way around this time, in concert with previous estimates based on the dynamics
of the streams.Comment: 6 pages (+1 in appendix), 4 figures (+1 in appendix), accepted for
