    Design of interdigital bandpass filter / Kamarul Hasrin Omer

    The purpose of this project is to design, fabricate and measure the characteristics of a microstrip interdigital bandpass filter operating at microwave frequencies using computer-aided design package. The filter was designed using conventional circuit simulator and electromagnetic circuit simulator such as HP Eesoft Libra and GENESYS Eagleware. Before this, other types of filters with different topologies have already been designed by other students such as bandpass filter, Chebyshev, Butterworth low-pass and parallel coupled bandpass filter. The filter specification calls for a 0.5 dB passband ripple at a center frequency of 5 GHz with a bandwidth of 8%. The filter has an insertion loss not exceeding 6 dB in the passband and more than 20 dB in the stopband. Rogers RT/Duroid microstrip laminates microstrip with a 0.5 mm substrate thickness and a relative permittivity of 2.33 were used to build the filter. Measurements were carried out using a vector network analyzer at the Microwave Technology Center. The filter was synthesized based on the above specification. Results from simulation were compared with the measurements from vector network analyzer to determine the successflilness of the design

    My major aims throughout my twenty-four-week industrial training at MAN Truck & Bus Sdn Bhd were to get practical job experience while developing my personal and professional abilities to prepare for future employment. My intensive and interesting twenty-four-week industrial training was held at MAN Truck & Bus Sdn Bhd. My industrial training experience started on August 12, 2024, and finished on January 24, 2025. This industrial training aims to provide students with real-world job experience, improve their skills, develop insights, and promote professional values in a corporate setting. I then concentrated on increasing my potential, self-awareness, and attributes such as honesty, creativity, academic talents, employability skills, job competencies, business skills, and interpersonal skills. As part of the Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), students must take MGT666 Industrial Training, which provides real-world job experience, important skills, and a strong feeling of responsibility for their future careers. Every student must intern or gain practical experience in a subject linked to their major or study area. Internships allow students to establish a professional mindset while applying classroom learning to real-world settings. In addition to giving students the essential information, skills, and mindset, it allows them to offer companies new views and make meaningful contributions. The training also offered exposure to real-world operations such as vendor payments, customer follow-ups, and bank reconciliations, enhancing technical and interpersonal skills. These activities improved technical knowledge and honed interpersonal skills such as effective communication with vendors and customers, problem-solving, and attention to detail, all of which are useful in a professional setting. My report contains detailed information on MAN Truck & Bus Sdn Bhd, such as its history, corporate structure, aims, and customer services. The training reflection portion of my report includes information about the responsibilities I was allocated and the personal and professional advantages I gained because of my internship. In addition to the conversation, I have supplied the SWOT analysis used to determine the company's competitive advantage. This study not only shows the SWOT analysis results but also proposes future directions for MAN Truck & Bus Sdn Bhd

    Entre-Hub is a system where UiTM Jasin community, students and staffs, do trade and business online. As of today, UiTM Jasin has no online system for trading or business. Thus, this system overcomes the problem by providing UiTM Jasin a medium to do trade and business online. As an addition, most of available business site lack useful interaction. It is believed that social media features can improve user interaction. Entre-Hub is aimed to provide UiTM Jasin with a C2C business system that implements social networking features. This project begins with the study about business practice among UiTM Jasin Community and online selling social media. Then proceed with identifying a suitable business models and web application development types for closed community online selling. After sufficient information gathered, the project enters the designing and developing phase of the web application using the identified business model and web application development type. The methodology used for the development of the web application is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The SDLC consist of six phases of development; Planning, Defining, Designing, Building, Testing, and Deployment. Pre-survey is conducted to gather user requirements for the system. The SDLC acts as a guide to develop the system to complement the user requirements. The system is then tested using functionality test before deployment. After the system is deployed, it is then evaluated using User Acceptance Test (UAT). Even though the system is successfully deployed, it still can be further improved in the future. The improvement of security of the system is particularly recommended. As an addition, payment gate is not available for the system due to security reason and that can also be improved in the future

    Pembaharuan semula bangunan merupakan satu proses yang perlu dihadapi oleh sesebuah bangunan akibat daripada perubahan masa dan teknologi. la bertujuan untuk mengatasi keusangan yang wujud pada sesebuah bangunan itu dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan keberkesanan bangunan bagi memenuhi kehendak penghuni dan mendapatkan pulangan sewa yang setimpal dengan nilai pasaran semasa.Pembaharuan semula ini perlu dilaksanakan berdasarkan kepada keperluan bangunan dan setiap bangunan itu mempunyai keperluan yang berbeza-beza mengikut tujuan ianya dibina. Proses pembaharuan yang bersesuaian pula perlu dilihat melalui kajian awalan yang meninjau pasaran semasa bangunan dan juga status bangunan tersebut Daripada kajian ini, kita dapat melihat daya maju projek yang akan dijalankan dan juga proses yang patut dilaksanakan.Pada amnya, tidak ada peraturan khusus mengenai proses pembaharuan semula bangunan yang perlu dipatuhi oleh pemilik bangunan sekiranya mereka mengubahsuai bangunan mereka.Bagaimanapun adalah lebih baik sekiranya pihak profesional seperti jurutera, arkitek dan juga jurukur bangunan melibatkan diri mereka dalam bidang ini.     The UV Index Prediction System project aims to tackle the serious public health concern of ultraviolet radiation exposure, which can result in serious health disorders like skin cancer, cataracts, and other UV-related illnesses. This project's main driving force is the requirement for precise and timely UV index level forecasts to enable people to minimize health risks and take the appropriate safeguards. Because of the temporal interdependence and complex structure of environmental data, traditional methods of UV index prediction are not always accurate. This study uses Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) neural networks, a kind of recurrent neural network (RNN) renowned for its adeptness in processing sequential input, to overcome these obstacles. The project methodology consists of several important stages, including a review of the literature, data gathering from dependable sources including environmental agencies and meteorological departments, and LSTM model deployment. The research framework includes a precise structure that outlines the goals, assignments, duties, and deliverables for every stage. The gathered data is preprocessed to make sure it is relevant and of high quality before being included to the LSTM model. To maximize the predicting performance of the model, historical UV index data is used for training and validation. The LSTM model is especially well-suited for this purpose because of its capacity to recognize and understand long-term dependencies in data. The LSTM based predictive model's conception and development, as well as thorough testing and evaluation, comprise the real labor done. The developed model demonstrated predicting performance with MAE at 0.074 and MSE at 0.008 as well as RMSE at 0.091. A moderate level of relationship exists between the model inputs and outputs as shown in the R-squared value of 0.41. Additionally, the system successfully predicted UV index levels with accuracy at 81.46%. The systematic approach demonstrates higher performance levels and better predictive accuracy when compared to traditional forecasting solutions

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    In recent years, design tactics have shifted toward supplying healthy and sustainable surroundings, depending on eco-friendly construction materials and suitable design solutions in interior spaces, resulting in environmentally responsible architecture and interior design. (Alfuraty, 2020) Many studies have shown that, though the concept of sustainability has been developed, many architects, designers, and even users do not adopt sustainable design strategies. Nowadays, in Malaysia, the lack of efficient and proper waste management technologies has caused an increase of construction costs and the waste of resources. An issue of high construction waste is an opportunity for interior designers and architects to learn about using construction waste as internal material in a building. Therefore, this research paper investigates whether Malaysia widely uses recyclable materials in the building's interior. What is the recyclable material that was used? What are the interior materials and finishes that use recyclable materials? and how to increase on the application of recyclable material as interior finishes in an art centre? This research would be focusing on art centres in Malaysia for this purpose. A questionnaire approach has been adapted to achieve the research aims and objectives

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
