Generalized Exponentiated Moment Exponential Distribution
Moment distributions have a vital role in mathematics and statistics, in particular in probability theory, in the perspective research related to ecology, reliability, biomedical field, econometrics, survey sampling and in life-testing. Hasnain (2013) developed an exponentiated moment exponential (EME) distribution and discussed some of its important properties. In the present work, we propose a generalization of EME distribution which we call it generalized EME (GEME) distribution and develop various properties of the distribution. We also present characterizations of the distribution in terms of conditional expectation as well as based on hazard function of the GEME random variable
Effects of Perception of Organizational Politics on Employee’s Well-Being: The Mediating Role of Trust and Interpersonal Conflicts
Perception of organizational politics (POP) is a critical issue for all organizations. Most of the researchers indicate that it has a negative effect on employee’s performance. This study finds the relationship between POP and employee’s well-being (EWB) by using interpersonal conflicts at work (ICW) and interpersonal trust at work (ITW) as mediators. The well-being of employees is an important factor to be studied because it covers overall happiness of employees which includes job satisfaction, performance, job loyalty etc. Therefore, without concerning the employee’s well-being, no organization can compete or lead in the competitive environment. So there is a research gap which needs to conduct a research study on employee’s well-being with the reference to perception of organizational politics. The main focus of this study is to find out the relationship between employee’s well-being and perception of organizational politics with the mediating effect of interpersonal conflicts at work and interpersonal trust at work. The sample size of this study is in a number of 223 with cross-sectional study and conducted in the famous city Lahore, Pakistan

Impact of Transformational Leadership on Employee’s Job Satisfaction and Well-Being Through Team Efficacy in PMBMC
The importance of transformational leadership and well-being of staff in the government punjab model bazaar management company (PMBMC) is progressively more recognized, anyhow there is a lesser amount of information regarding the mechanism to enlighten the relationship between transformational leadership (TFL) and employee job satisfaction (JS) and well-being (WB). The objective of this study is examining psychological mechanism that links with transformational leadership behaviors to employee’s job satisfaction and well-being. The study design is cross sectional and take place in all (26) model bazaars in Punjab. 200 staff of PMBMC completed the survey questionnaire which was sent to all employees in each bazaar, all participants are males with average ratio of education intermediate and age average 27 to 35 years. Each participant would rate their line manager’s leadership style. Team efficacy was found to act as mediator. In industries and commerce sector PMBMC pressurized environment faced by employees, today transformational leadership may help by ensuring employee’s job satisfaction and positive state of mind as well-being in the form of competent group.</jats:p
The Impact of Religiosity and Spirituality on Academic Dishonesty of Students in Pakistan
Business ethics has become a very popular topic in recent decades and having news on media on a daily basis which is now increased in a number of high profile business scandals that shook the business world. That is the cause of academy dishonesty of students in many universities and colleges where student training of ethics are very low for such kind of business scandals emerged. There are two factors which are under research in this topic in academy dishonest and cheating behavior which are religiosity and spirituality. This study shed lights on the religious beliefs and unethical behaviors by focusing the students of Pakistan which are studying at Universities level having academic dishonesty and cheating behavior. The individual attitudes, views, decisions making and the behaviors according to the situation are influenced by religiosity and spirituality which are posited in this study. The objective of this research is to find out the relationship between religiosity and spirituality on cheating behavior with the help of cheating attitude as mediator. A cross-sectional study conducted on the postgraduate student in Pakistan and collected from four post-graduate institutes in Lahore, which are COMSATS, NCBA&E, UMT and Punjab University. So the result of this research shows that religiosity but not spirituality is a predictor of attitudes of the student toward cheating and cheating behavior

The Shi'a Muslims of the United Provinces of India, c 1890-1940
This dissertation examines religious, social and political change among the Shia
Muslims of the United Provinces of colonial India, c. 1890-1940. Focusing especially,
upon the towns of Lucknow and Amroha but discussing the region as a whole, it traces
the formation of a community identity among Shia Muslims, and questions how
disparate Shi'a populations were able to construct a consciousness of solidarity. The
dissertation is based on a combination of archival and printed sources in English and
Urdu.
The first chapter assesses processes of sectarian organisation and the formation of a
number of Shia institutions and societies in Lucknow in the thirty year period from
1890, including several madrasas and the All India Shi'a Conference. The second chapter
examines manifestations of religious renewal among Indian Shi'as. Forms of religious
proselytisation are discussed, particularly the contribution of the printing press and the
changing role of preaching. The development of religious conflict is outlined, through
examinations of religious debates and the reformation of Muharram rites.
A third chapter examines Shia responses to the so-called '`Aligarh movement',
considering reactions to educational reform and the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental
College at `Aligarh. A fourth chapter discusses Shia responses to the campaigns of jihad
and pan-Islamism current among many Muslims in the early twentieth century. Together,
these two chapters demonstrate the expansion and politicisation of sectarian differences,
and the attempts by some Shi'as to organise separately from wider Muslim institutions.
The final chapter assesses a series of Shi'a-Sunni conflicts in Lucknow in the 1930s. It
examines some of the contributory factors and discusses the conflicts in the light of the
processes of sectarian organisation discussed in earlier chapters. The conclusion
evaluates the implications of the thesis for our understanding of Indian Shia Muslims
and, more generally, of sectarian identities and conflicts in Indian Islam
Monitoring of thermo-cycles in fibre laser welding of duplex stainless steel 2205 sheets and its correlation with microstructures and mechanical properties
Abstract
The study reports the influence of change in the heat supplied (43 J mm−1 to 18.5 J mm−1) on the microstructures as well as mechanical properties of weld joints obtained by welding of Duplex stainless steel 2205 using fibre laser. In-process thermal monitoring of the molten weld pool was carried out using IR pyrometer. Cooling rates (i.e. solidification and solid) were calculated from the thermo-profiles of weld pool, and it increases with the decrease in heat input. From the optical images, it is observed that columnar grains originated from the fusion zone walls and merged at the center. Since, solidification front velocity is comparable on both sides’ leads to a central edge. Ferrite phase content observed in fusion zone microstructure, increases with the increase in solid cooling rate. The result suggests that the joints fabricated at lowest heat input displayed highest tensile strength. The maximum tensile strength been reported to be 872.5 ± 10.8 MPa, and failure occurred at parent metal. Tensile strength of weld joints of DSS 2205 was found to have improved with increasing cooling rate. Higher cooling rate results in the formation of fine dendritic grains as well as higher ferrite content in the weld metal
