PERANAN TUN FATIMAH HASHIM DALAM MARTABAT KEBAJIKAN WANITA DI MALAYSIA
ABSTRAKSI
Tun Dr. Fatimah bt Haji Hashim adalah tokoh wanita yang istimewa.
Bukan saja karena beliau tercatat sebagai wanita pertama yang diangkat sebagai
menteri, tetapi beliau juga terkenal disebabkan kepemimpinannya dalam
pergerakan wanita di Malaysia. Di Arena politik, beliau memegang jabatan
sebagai ketua pergerakan wanita UMNO selama kurun waktu 16 tahun. Dalam
pergerakan Organisasi Wanita Swadaya (LSM/NGO), beliau menggerakkan
terlaksananya peringatan hari wanita yang pertama tanggal 25 Agustus 1962,
hari dan tanggal bulan ini diperingati di Malaysia setiap tahunnya hingga saat
ini.
Usaha Tun Dr. Fatimah mewujudkan perayaan hari wanita melahirkan
Organisasi Kebangsaan Wanita Malaysia (NCWO), yaitu sebuah lembaga yang
kini membawahi lebih dari 100 buah NGO (LSM) wanita. Beliau dilantik sebagai
ketua NCWO pada tahun 1965 dan telah memimpin lembaga tersebut selama 24
tahun sampai waktu pensiun di tahun 1989. Selama rentang waktu tersebut
beberapa kemajuan telah diukir untuk kaum wanita di Malaysia, diantaranya
adalah; wanita telah memperoleh gaji yang sama dengan laki-laki untuk jenis
pekerjaan yang sama, status sebagai pekerja tetap, dan memperoleh dana pensiun
sebagai pegawai negeri, serta perubahan beberapa undang-undang yang
memperjuangkan hak dan kedudukan wanita.
Namun dibalik kesibukannya dengan tugas politik dan ketua pergerakan
wanita, beliau telah berhasil menciptakan sebuah keluarga yang bukan saja aman
damai, namun ke enam orang anaknya juga berhasil dalam bidang karirnya
masing-masing, bahkan memiliki sifat yang sama dengan ibunya, yaitu aktif
dalam organisasi sosial dan terjun langsung untuk membantu masyarakat di
Malaysia.
Keberhasilan beliau adalah karena dilahirkan dari keluarga yang cukup
terbuka dan toleran, suaminya mendukung penuh kegiatannya, dan sifat beliau
yang kukuh dan wataknya yang penuh percaya diri
Establishing strong brand equity with consumer-based approach for Malaysian fashion brands’ growth in fast-fashion industry / Siti Fatimah Hashim
Fast-Fashion industry has endlessly offered the latest trends in a competitive short production-cycle. Albeit rapid expansion, Malaysian Fashion Brands have faced fierce competitions especially from international counterparts to indicate that they were perceived weak in brand equity perspectives. MFBs’ businesses are downward due to intense competitions and unpredictable consumer behaviour thus, affecting their growth. The study aims to find how consumers perceive MFBs’ brand equity and what factors can contribute to the outcome. The main research objective is to investigate whether Consumer-Based Approach (CBA) can significantly predict Strong Brand Equity in a relationship-based research. The main strategies of this study are by using CBA model to measure the level of Brand Equity perceived in Malaysian consumer market, systematic data collection procedures and statistical analysis to obtain inferential results. CBA Model is adapted from Consumer-based brand equity Model (Keller, 1993) postulated in Independent Variables of Brand Awareness, Brand Image and Purchase Intention to predict Strong Brand Equity as the Dependent Variable. In addition, Community Engagement and Brand Loyalty are examined whether can have moderated mediation indirect effects on the cause-effect relationships. Quantitative research method was employed where 6 constructs and 17 latent variables were designed into 99 instrumental scales. The datasets were collected through a non- probability convenient sampling technique with success response rate of 29.7% via both online and offline survey tools. After data screening procedures, 798 cleaned datasets are utilized for further statistical analysis where SPSS version 25 for Descriptive Analysis and SmartPLS version 3.2.8 for Measurement and Structural Model Analysis. The findings show that Brand Loyalty has full mediating effects meanwhile, Community Engagement has no moderated mediation indirect effect on the causal relationships. The overall results indicate that MFBs are perceived low in brand equity which interpreted as lacking of competitive advantages thus, jeopardizing their brand health and business progression. The findings have implications on the existing body of knowledge as they contradict to the previous findings of past literatures. Future studies should look at other factors to trigger consumer behaviour in giving effects towards strong brand equity establishment for MFBs’ business outgrowth

A potential study of Synsepalumdulcificum (Sapotaceae) "miracle berry" / Fatimah Abdol Latif, Sarina Hashim and Zairus Ismail
Synsepalumdulcificum or Miracle berry plant is a slow-growing shrub belonging to Sapotaceae. The aims of the study were to identify the morphology of S. dulcificum and to examine the seed germination through in vitro propagation. Mature plants of S. dulcificum were obtained from Tekam Plantation, Jerantut, Pahang. The 20 cm stem cutting was used to study the phyllotaxis and to investigate the feature of flower and fruit. To determine the performance of seed culture, seeds sterilization done by surface-sterilization with 95% ethanol for 5 min, 20% NaOCI for 20 minutes. Then, the sterile seeds were maintained on Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium. The record of shoots and roots formation were taken by direct observation. This study shows that S. dulcificum have a deep green, 10-13 cm elongated thin leaves with entire margin. The flowers are born axially, with small white flowers about 1 cm length during opening, change to creamy yellow, then black when past mature. The plants produced 2-3 cm ellipsoid fruits with a single seed. The seeds were used for in vitro propagation. Shoots and roots started to form after 16 weeks of culture incubation. Propagation was successfully done through seeds in the MS basal medium. Anyhow, further studies on the modifications of the in vitro physical and chemical environments of the nodal culture are recommended to enhance propagation of the plants. This study indicates that S. dulcificum has a great potential in landscaping because of their evergreen and slow growth rate, so that it does not grow higher. Seeds culture can increase the number of seedlings for plant lovers, so it can overcome the problem of slow sprouting rate of the plants
Building brand identity for sustainability of new emerging enterprises (a case study of bumiputera small fashion enterprises in Malaysia) / Siti Fatimah Hashim
Brand identity takes an aspirational perspective on ‘what’ and ‘who’ Bumiputera new emerging fashion (BNEF) enterprises in the market while emphasizing on the needs for sustainability. The increasing numbers of BNEF enterprises that hardly survive in the dynamic business environment and the rising roles of active consumers online and offline in Malaysia context have taken a toll even though have been supported by the government in so many ways. Thus, using brand identity building as a strategic tool for BNEF enterprises’ sustainability is an exploratory study that well described as the independent variable: Internal Elements which consist of Corporate Identity and Organizational Identity and External Elements which consist of Corporate Image and Reputation resulting Brand Loyalty as dependent variable. The conceptual framework therefore, significantly creates Brand Awareness and thus, develop Brand Loyalty for the sustainability of BNEF enterprises in the market. This research study seeks to the advancement of establishing the conceptualization of brand identity building by proposing brand identity as dynamic and strategic tools constructed by influencing inputs from top management, stakeholders and loyal customers. Hence, the research study proposes an innovative managerial framework together with the alignment of Strategic Stars of Brand Identity (Hatch & Schultz, 2001) in order to challenge the establishment approach of brand identity building specifically for sustainability of BNEF enterprises in Malaysia

Oleh sebab mesyuarat agung pertubuhan inl diadakan dua tahun sekali dan mesyuarat agung pada hari ini ialah kali yang kelima, maka bermaknalah Majlis ini pada hari yang berbahagia ini telah masuk ke lingkungan umur belasan tahun pula
