Lattice theory is a part of Mathematics. Boolean algebra and Boolean function is an important of lattice theory. A nonempty set P together with a binary relation R is said to form a partially order set or a poset if the following conditiois hold: (i) Reflexivity (ii) Anti-symmetry (iii) Transitivity. A poset (L, ≤) is said to form a lattice if for every a, b ε L if a˅b and a ˄ b exist in L. A lattice is said to be complemented lattice if every element has a complement. Let L be a bounded distributive lattice, let a ε L an element a* ε L is called a pseudocomplement of a in L if the following conditions holds: (i) a ˄ a* = 0 (ii) ∀ x ε L, a ˄ x =0 implies that x ≤ a* . A complement distributive lattice is called a Boolean lattice. Since complements are unique in a Boolean lattice as an algebra with two binary operations A and v and one unary operation '.Boolean lattices so considered are called Boolean algebra. Moreover we can discuss on relatively pseudocomplemented Lattices. In this thesis, we have given several results on seetionnally (relatively) pseudocomplemented lattices which certainly extended and generalized many results in lattice theory. In chapter one is to outline and fix the notation for some of the concepts of lattices which are basic to this thesis. Some more definitions and formulate results on a orbitrary lattices for later use. We have considered this section as the base and background for the study of subsequent sections. For the background material in Lattice theory we have refered the readers to the of G. Birkoff [14] G. Gratzer [15] and V.K. Khanna [24] and several authors. In chapter two, we have given a description of difference classes of lattices. We have also studied normal lattices and distributive quasi-complemented lattices. Generalized stone lattices have been studied by H. Lakser [16,17], K.B Lee [20] and many other authors. We have given a characterization of minimal prime ideals of a sectionally pseudocomplemented lattices. Then we have shown that a distributive Lattice L with 0 is generalized stone if and only if it is both normal and sectionally quasi-complemented. In chapter three introduces the concept of relative annihilators in lattices. Relative annihilators in lattices were studied by several authors including Mandelker [21] and Verlet [22]. B.A. Davey [1] has used the annihiiators in studying relatively normal lattices. Here we have studied the relative annihilators in lattices. In terms of relative annihilators, we have characterized modular and distributive lattices. Relatively stone lattices have been studied by several authors including Mandelker [26], T.P. Speed [23] Gratzer and Schmidt [15]. Here we use given several characterizations of relatively stone lattices, which are certainly the generalization of above authors work. We have also shown for a distributive lattice L in which every closed interval in pseudocomplemented is relatively stone if and only if any two incomparable prime ideals of L are comaximal. In chapter four, we have studied lattices with the greatest element 1 where on each interval [a,1] an antitone bijection is defined. We have characterized these lattices by means of two induced binary operations proving that the resulting algebras form a variety. The congruence properties of this variety and the properties of the underlying lattices are investigated. We have shown that this variety contains a single minimal subquasi variety join-lattices, whose principal filters are Boolean lattices, were used by J.C. Abbott [13]. We have introduced a further generalization of this concept, defining the notion of a lattice with sectionally antitone bijection. We have also introduced Residuated Lattices studied by Ward and Diworth [26] and several authors. Two mono graph contain a compendium on residuated lattices. They are that by Blyth and Janowitz [2]. In this paper we will compare a certain modification of a residuated Lattice. In chapter five, It is shown that every directoid equipped with sectionally switching mappings can be represented as a certain implication algebra. The concept of directoid was introduced by J. Jezek and R. Quackenbush [19] in the sake to axiomatize algebraic structures defined by on upward directed ordered set. In certain sense, directoids generalize semilattices. In chapter six. We have studied switching Mapping introduced by Chajda and Emanovsky [3]. A mapping f of [a, 1] onto itself is called switching mapping if f(a) =1 and for x ε [a,1], a ≠x ≠1 in the section[q,1] is determined by that of [p,l], we say that the compatibility condition for antitony switching mappings and connection with complemention in sections have been shown.Md.     Reframing informal institutional voids as the attempted remaking of contested social spaces: Evidence from England

    The conventional perspective on institutional voids as mere absences has recently faced criticism. Recent research suggests that voids are instead sites of contestation between institutions. However, understanding the specifics of this and how informal voids function in such contestations requires deeper investigation. We combine insights from the institutional voids and political theory literatures to reconceptualise informal voids as spaces of attempted institutional remaking which occurs through three key activities - developing new norms, devising legitimate political interventions and negotiating new rules. We present data from 123 interviews to demonstrate these three activities. This evidence enables us to challenge two assumptions in the voids literature and to demonstrate how an informal void (as reconceptualised) functions at the nexus of health and urban development in England. This study has implications for investigating informal voids as active social spaces, where actors attempt to remake contested social spaces through three core types of activity

    Chemically and biologically activated biochars slow down urea hydrolysis and improve nitrogen use efficiency

    Biochar is considered a potential technology to enhance chemical fertilizer use efficiency through intensification of the interactions between nutrients and the functional groups on biochar surfaces. However, little is known about how the application of activated biochars mixed with urea influences nitrogen (N) mineralization and crop performance in paddy fields. Here, a sawdust-derived fresh biochar (FBC) (ca. 400 °C) was activated chemically with 15% hydrogen peroxide and biologically with a nutrient solution mixed with a soil inoculum to obtain a chemically activated biochar (CBC) and a biologically activated biochar (BBC), respectively. The chemical and surface properties of FBC, CBC, and BBC were evaluated using spectroscopic methods, i.e., Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance, and potentiometric charge determination. The N retention capacity of biochars and their interaction with urea hydrolysis were examined in a laboratory incubation experiment. Additionally, a field experiment was carried out in a paddy field with the biochars unmixed or mixed with urea at a 1:1 ratio. Our results showed that negative surface functional groups and negative charges were increased on both activated biochars, especially CBC. Both activated biochars contributed to a significant reduction in urea-biochar suspension pH and increased N retention in the incubation experiment. Despite the enhanced surface properties of the activated biochars, no similar increases in rice biomass and grain yield were observed for these biochars in the field experiment. However, rice biomass, grain yield, apparent N use efficiency, and agronomic N use efficiency were significantly higher with the application of the three biochars compared to no-biochar application. Altogether, the results indicate that the application of urea mixed with biochar could enhance crop performance, especially in the case of activated biochar, which would enhance N retention in the soil, reducing N lossWe are grateful to the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh for funding the current work with a project (No. LS2018770).     Sustainable, wearable, and eco-friendly electronic textiles

    Wearable electronic textiles (e-textiles) with embedded electronics offer promising solutions for unobtrusive, real-time health monitoring, enhancing healthcare efficiency. However, their adoption is limited by performance and sustainability challenges in materials, manufacturing, and recycling. This study introduces a sustainable paradigm for the fabrication of fully inkjet-printed Smart, Wearable, and Eco-friendly Electronic Textiles (SWEET) with the first comprehensive assessments of the biodegradability and life cycle assessment (LCA). SWEET addresses existing limitations, enabling concurrent and continuous monitoring of human physiology, including skin surface temperature (at temperature coefficient of resistance, TCR value of ~−4.4% °C−1) and heart rate (~74 beats per minute, bpm) separately and simultaneously like the industry gold standard, using consistent, versatile, and highly efficient inkjet-printed graphene and Poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly (styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS)-based wearable e-textiles. Demonstrations with a wearable garment on five human participants confirm the system's capability to monitor their electrocardiogram (ECG) signals and skin temperature. Such sustainable and biodegradable e-textiles decompose by ~48% in weight and lost ~98% strength over 4 months. Life cycle assessment (LCA) reveals that the graphene-based electrode has the lowest climate change impact of ~0.037 kg CO2 eq, 40 times lower than reference electrodes. This approach addresses material and manufacturing challenges, while aligning with environmental responsibility, marking a significant leap forward in sustainable e-textile technology for personalized healthcare management.</p

    Do female board directors deter private information trading? : evidence from the U.S. market

    This file was last viewed in Adobe Acrobat Pro.Based on gender socialization theory, this study provides empirical evidence on the association between female board representation and opportunistic insider trading. More specifically, the study argues that female directors’ morality and risk-aversion traits set the tone at the top that deters insiders from trading on private information. The study found that female board representation on a company’s board has a negative and statistically significant impact on opportunistic insider trading. The main finding is robust to heterogeneity concerns, selection bias, alternative measures, alternative model specifications, reverse causality, and omitted variable bias. The study also employed difference-in-differences (DiD) and advanced machine learning approach to confirm the causality argument that female board representation is a significant predictor of opportunistic insider trading. The study also found that the negative effect of female board representation on opportunistic insider trading becomes less important in firms with strong governance and high managerial risk aversion, which suggests that female board representation substitutes the role of governance and risk aversion mechanisms in a firm
