Harun Farocki / Hanns Zischler : Heiner Müller: The Battle / Tractor Basel 1976
No full textIn 1976, Harun Farocki and Hanns Zischler directed Heiner Müller’s plays The Battle and Tractor for Theater Basel. For Farocki, this production remained his only directorial work for theater. With Heiner Müller, however, he remained in intellectual exchange. The two collaborated on the adaptation of Müller’s text The Hamletmachine for radio in 1978; for the May 1981 issue of the magazine Filmkritik, they conducted a conversation.
This booklet gathers together material about the Basel performance. Klaus Völker, then dramaturge at Theater Basel, recalls the background of the performance and compiles some of his notes from the time. A letter written by Heiner Müller to Martin Linzer, a theater critic and dramaturge in the GDR, and Farocki’s text from the program note of the play, as well as photographs of the production, evoke the political and intellectual climate. In the late 1990s, Hanns Zischler wrote a memoir text about their collaboration, which has been translated into English for this issue. Finally, Anja Quickert, a theater scholar, dramaturge, and freelance writer animating the International Heiner Müller Society, contextualizes the documents and reflects on some of the staging ideas of the time.

1976 inszenierten Harun Farocki und Hanns Zischler Heiner Müllers Stücke Die Schlacht und Traktor für das Theater Basel. Für Farocki blieb die Inszenierung die einzige Regiearbeit am Theater. Mit Heiner Müller aber blieb er im intellektuellen Austausch. An der Einrichtung von Müllers Text Die Hamletmaschine für den Hörfunk arbeiteten die beiden 1978 zusammen, für die Zeitschrift Filmkritik (Mai 1981) führten sie ein Gespräch.
Das vorliegende Heft versammelt Materialien um die Basler Aufführung. Klaus Völker, damals Dramaturg am Basler Haus, erinnert sich an die Hintergründe der Zusammenarbeit und macht einen Teil seiner damaligen Notizen zugänglich. Heiner Müllers Brief an Martin Linzer, Theaterkritiker und Dramaturg in der DDR, ein Text Farockis aus dem Basler Programmheft, sowie Fotografien der Produktion erschließen einen Teil des Kontexts. In den späten 1990er Jahren schrieb Hanns Zischler einen Erinnerungstext über die Arbeit mit Farocki, der für dieses Heft in Englische übersetzt wurde. Multi-wavelength fiber laser with erbium doped zirconia fiber and semiconductor optical amplifier
No full textMulti-wavelength hybrid fiber lasers are demonstrated in both ring and linear cavities using a fabricated Erbium-doped Zirconia fiber (EDZF) and semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) as gain media. In both configurations, the a fiber loop mirror, which is constructed using a 3 m long polarization maintaining fiber (PMF) and a polarization insensitive 3dB coupler is used as a comb filter for the fiber laser. In the ring cavity, 10 simultaneous lines with peak power above -26 dBm is obtained at 1550 nm region. This is an improvement compared to the linear cavity configuration which has only 5 simultaneous lines observed from wavelength 1556.1 nm to 1563.0 nm with the peak power above -40 dBm. Both hybrid lasers has a constant line spacing of 1.7 nm, which is suitable for wavelength division multiplexing and sensing applications and shows a stable operation at room temperature

Harun terkenal sebagai pemimpin berkarisma yang dikagumi oleh rakyatnya, sholeh, taat beragama serta piawai dalam memegang pemerintahan. Oleh sebab itu penulis mengangkat sosok Harun ar-Rasyid menjadi pemeran utama karena beliau sosok tokoh yang mesti untuk dijadikan contoh pada pemimpin di lembaga pendidikan Islam zaman sekarang. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif serta tergolong penelitian kepustakaan. Inilah yang peneliti gunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, buku Harun Ar-Rasyid Amir Para Khalifah dan Raja Teragung di Dunia sebagai sumber primernya dan jurnal-jurnal atau makalah sebagai sumber pendukungnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Dalam pemerintahan Khalifah Harun ar-Rasyid banyak mengalami kemajuan-kemajuan. Dan salah satu indikator berkembang pesatnya pendidikan dan pengajaran ditandai dengan berkembang luasnya lembaga-lembaga pendidikan Islam.Kata kunci: Nilai Pendidikan Islam; Kepemimpinan; Khalifah Harun Al-Rasyid AbstractCaliph Harun ar-Rashid is a generous leader, likes to give either on his own volition or on demand. Harun ar-Rashid is known as an authoritative caliph, loved by the people, pious, religious and skilled in holding the government. Therefore, the author makes the figure of Harun ar-Rasyid as the main character because he is a figure who must be used as an example with the reality of today\u27s leaders in Islamic educational institutions. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach and includes library research, because in collecting the data the researcher uses Harun Ar-Rasyid Amir\u27s book The Caliphs and the Greatest King in the World as the primary source and journals or papers as a supporting source. The results show that: During the reign of Caliph Harun ar-Rashid, many progresses were made. And one indicator of the rapid development of education and teaching is marked by the expansion of Islamic educational institutions.Keywords: Values of Islamic Education; Leadership; Caliph Harun Al-Rasyi
