The relevance of this mechanism for the acceleration of Fe(III) reduction in arsenic-laden groundwater environments is gaining wider attention. Here we provide new evidence that dissolved FAs isolated from sediment-influenced surface water and groundwater in the Bengal Basin were capable of electron shuttling between Geobacter metallireducens and Fe(III). Moreover, all four Bangladesh sediment-derived dissolved FAs investigated in this study had higher electron accepting capacity (176 to 245 μmol/g) compared to aquatic FAs, such as Suwanee River Fulvic Acid (67 μmol/g). Our direct evidence that Bangladesh FAs are capable of intermediate electron transfer to Fe(III) supports other studies that implicate electron shuttling by sediment-derived aqueous humics to enhance Fe reduction and, in turn, As mobility. Overall, the finding of greater electron accepting capacity by dissolved FAs from groundwater and other sediment-influenced environments advances our understanding of mechanisms that control Fe reduction under conditions where electron transfer is the rate limiting step

I. The appellant (Harshad Chiman) entered into a “plot buyer agreement” with respondent (DLF) for purchase of a residential plot that was situated in Gurgaon, Haryana.
II. [1]The agreement was entered between Harshad Chiman and DLF in Delhi. The agreement was in the Standard Form Contract. The head office of respondent was situated in Delhi. Payment was to be made in Delhi for the entered agreement. According to the aforesaid agreement it was specifically provided under Clause 28 that the transaction would be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi High Court.
III. The appellant made the payments to respondent as per the schedule of agreement and in the said manner that was prescribed in agreement. Every instalment was made by appellant to respondent despite all this, the agreement was unilaterally and illegally cancelled by the respondent on different grounds

Graphite : a parallel distributed simulator for multicores

Graphite allows fast simulation of multicore architectures by leveraging computational resources from multiple machines and making efficient use of the parallelism available in the host platforms. This thesis describes in detail the design and implementation of the functional aspects of Graphite. Experiment results using benchmarks from the SPLASH benchmark suite that demonstrate the speed and scalability of Graphite are presented. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Analysis and modeling of airport surface operations

Recently, increasing the efficiency of surface operations has been recognized to have significant potential benefits in terms of fuel and emissions savings. To identify opportunities for improvement and to quantify the consequent gains in efficiency, it is necessary to characterize current operational practices. This thesis describes a framework for analysis of airport surface operations and proposes metrics to quantify operational performance. These metrics are then evaluated for Boston Logan International Airport using actual surface surveillance data. A probabilistic model for real-time prediction of aircraft taxi-out times is described, which improves upon the accuracy of previous models based on queuing theory and regression. Finally, a regression model for estimation of aircraft taxi-out fuel burn is described. Together, the modules described here form the basis for a surface operations optimization tool that is currently under development.by Harshad Khadilkar.S.M
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
