PENILAIAN INDIKATOR KESEHATAN HUTAN RAKYAT PADA BEBERAPA POLA TANAM (Studi kasus di Desa Buana Sakti, Kecamatan Batang Hari, Kabupaten Lampung Timur)
Awareness of the importance of community forest health in various cropping patterns in Buana Sakti Village, Batang Hari District, East Lampung Regency is currently lacking, so better forest management is needed. Community forest has a function as a forest that can support community income. This study aims to obtain the value of community forest health indicators on monoculture, polyculture, and agroforestry cropping patterns. This research was conducted in a community forest in Buana Sakti Village, Batang Hari District, East Lampung Regency. This study uses the FHM (Forest Health Monitoring) method. The results showed that the indicators of community forest health used in monoculture planting patterns were productivity, vitality, location quality. In the polyculture planting patterns, namely productivity, vitality, site quality and biodiversity. Indicators used in agroforestry cropping patterns are productivity, vitality, site quality, and biodiversity

Contribution of Agroforestry Plants to Farmers' Income and Welfare
The people who live adjacent to Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman depend their lives on land management in the block utilization of Tahura with the agroforestry system. This system is implemented with different plant compositions so that the effect on income is different. This study aims to determine the composition of agroforestry plants that provide the highest income and welfare level for farmers. The study was conducted in 2017 in Sidodadi Village, Pesawaran District, which borders Tahura Wan Abdul Rahman. The variables analyzed consisted of revenue and production costs in the management of agroforestry, farmer expenditure and the number of family member. The results obtained from the 7 plant compositions identified, composition II with the main plants of banana and cacao and other types of plants are clove, chili, areca nut, soursop, mango, rambutan, durian, coconut, pecan, duku, jengkol, petai, avocado, nutmeg , breadfruit, sugar palm, bayur and cempaka; provide the highest income with an average income of Rp. 21,640,777/family/year but this income is still in a sufficient category and is only limited to meeting basic needs. It is the composition of plants that are most widely used by the community. Keywords: agroforestry, income, plant composition, welfar
KONTRIBUSI KOMPOSISI VEGETASI DALAM PENYIMPANAN DAN SERAPAN KARBON DI HUTAN RAKYAT DESA NEGARA RATU II KECAMATAN NATAR KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN
Tree stands in community forest have potential to absorb carbon in the air by storing in the body parts of the tree.  This study aims to determine the effect of community forest’s stand types on the number of reserves and carbon uptake.  The sampling method used is the cluster sampling method to determine the sample.  Biomass data are collection destructive and non destructive methods.  Estimation of biomass is carried out using the allometric equations.  Measurement of carbon content using the formula from BSN (2011) x 0.47. Comparative  analysis of carbon reserves and removals uptake using the variance test  and 5 % BNT test. Public  forests in the Negara Ratu II village with gold teak stands have carbon reserves and removals (135.87 tons/ha and 499,00 ton/ha). the most significant compared to community forests with other types of stands. While the reserve value and carbon uptake between white teak (44.86 tons/ha and 164.63 tons/ha), acacia (54.13 tons/ha and 191.20 tons/ ha), red jabon (51.20ton/ha and 187.90 tons/ha), white jabon (59.51 tons/ha and 218.40 tons/ha), is no different. Influence Factors in Land Use of Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park
Forest land use is an activity which is committed by the community near the forest to fulfill the needs of their life. This research intended to determine factors that influence land utilization in Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park. Utilization of forest land was assumed as the number of plant species that planted in forest land. The analysis of this research used multiple linear regressions to test factors that influence the number of plant species. This research showed that the number of plant species was influenced by duration of farming and land area size. It was revaled that longer duration of farming and larger community’s land would increase the number of plant species that has economic values. Keywords: land area, number of plant species, duration of farming, utilization of forest land
PERAN HUTAN TANAMAN RAKYAT DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENDAPATAN DI KESATUAN PENGELOLAAN HUTAN UNIT XIV GEDONG WANI
Community Plantation Forests (CPF) have a very important role in increasing the income for people around the forest. This study aims to see the role of community plantations is in increasing the farmer’s income using Agrosilvopastura cropping pattern. Data collection used observation techniques, interviews, and literature studies. The sampling method used proportional simple random with the number of respondents as many as 90 farmers. Data analysis used income analysis. The results showed that the role of HTR was very influential for the income of farmers 66,25%, compared non CPT (33,75%) with an income value of Rp 2,258,050,000/KK/year or Rp 8,755,863/KK/month using the agrosilvopastura cropping pattern, which was a combination of various agricultural crops (64,20%), forestry (1,36%), and farm (0,69%). Training for farmers and forestry extension workers needs to be carried out to support activities to be more effective and extension workers need to take a more intensive approach to farmers so they can provide solutions and alternative solutions to problems in management

The Trend in Types of Tree Damage in Mangrove Forest Management Areas, East Lampung Regency
Damage to mangrove trees is one of them influenced by the types of tree damage. The more types of tree damage to a single mangrove tree, the worse the health level of the mangrove tree will be. This study aims to obtain damage index trend values and types of tree damage in the east coast mangrove forest area, East Lampung Regency. Measurement of the types of damage to mangrove trees was carried out three times using the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method in two FHM cluster plots for each mangrove forest area. Assessment of damage to mangrove trees uses the Damage Index formula. The results showed that the trend index values for mangrove tree damage were 9.3 and 4.5 (Resort Kuala Penet, Way Kambas National Park), 9.2 and 19.8 (Margasari, Labuhan Maringgai), and 6.2. and 9.8 (Purworejo, Pasir Sakti) with the dominant types of damage being open wounds (code 03) 343 damage, damaged foliage/shoots (code 24) 240 damage, and broken/dead (code 22) 158 damage. Thus, the trend of damage index and types of damage to mangrove trees in the east coast mangrove forest area of East Lampung Regency has increased
The Interaction of Community around the Forest towards Land Use Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman
Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park (Tahura WAR) has experienced the fluctuations in land cover changes in each year. It caused by the interaction of community in utilization of Tahura WAR. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of interaction by the community around Tahura WAR and the influenced factors of it. The product moment correlation analysis was used to see the real relation between the independent variables (the level of interaction) and the dependent variable (land area, income, and the number of family dependents). The result showed that the interaction of the community in the Tahura WAR was moderate. It included the activity of community-related in utilization, preservation and forest protection. The level of interaction was influenced by the land area and the income level of the respondents. Keywords: interaction, Tahura WAR, land area, income
