She has extensive experience as an educator, researcher, consultant and administrator. Since the mid-1970's, Dr. White concentrated her work on coordinating health and community-based service delivery systems for older adults and their families. A nationally-recognized author and lecturer in the aging field, Dr. White is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Healthy Aging in Santa Monica, California, and an adjunct professor at the USC Davis School of Gerontology in Los Angeles. Awareness of parents of the possibilities to prevent speech defects, of child's speech development and of thequality of related literature, will be determinated by a questionnare, this means a quantitative research method. No kako onda razumjeti kreativnost danas, kada je naša individualna svijest proširena elektronskim medijima i telemetrijski uključena u “globalni mozak”? Sveprisutnost informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije omogućuje nam da stvaramo nove informacije brže negoli ikad prije i pohranjujemo ih u forme umjetne memorije, u koje može svatko ući. S obzirom na to čini se da je pojam autorstva prevladan, a unutarnji dijalog zamijenjen intersubjektivnim dijalogom. Držeći se teorije medija Viléma Flussera i Marshalla McLuhana, problematiziram novu paradigmu kreativnosti kakva se razvija u dobu informacijske tehnologije.If we assume that creativity is a result of the inner dialogue of creative individual (author), during which he creates an improbable combination of elements (i.e. new information), how can we comprehend creativity today, after we technologically extended our individual consciousness and connected it into a “global brain” via telematics? Prevalence of information and communications technology enables us to create more new information than ever, and allows us to store it in artificial memory, where it could be reused by almost anyone. In the age of ICT, author seems to be superfluous and the inner dialogue has been replaced by interpersonal dialogue. Taken into consideration Vilém Flusser’s and Marshall McLuhan’s theory of media, I will try to problematize new paradigm of creativity, as it is disclosing in information society

No full textThe literature shows that leniency has negative impact on employee performance and firm productivity. However, there has been limited empirical research of how to mitigate the bias. This study examines if leniency is mitigateable by availability of subjective evaluation criteria and group rater. Using experimental method with sixty-nine undergraduate students as subjects, we find that process within group is effective to reduce individual subjective rating, even when there was no subjective criteria. However, we find group rating does not have effect on rating accuracy. Additionally, consistent with general assumption of leniency, we find that inflated rating is affected by altruistic traits of raters. With the inherent limitations associated with experimental method, our finding suggests that, in order to have subjective rating accurately, firm should promote sound rating process by defining more relevant criteria to complement the evaluation process

The survivors break into groups: some of them tell optimistic stories, trying to shake up those who are plunged in sadness. Świerkosz believes that the artists are putting forward a vision of the political based on an "instinctive emotional ethic of compassion." She praises the production for its humor and energy

No full textThe sustainability of SMEs is supported by various important factors, both financial and non-financial. This study examines non-financial factors, namely the management accounting adoption model on the performance of SMEs in Maluku. The sample of this study consisted of 63 UKM units located in Ambon City, SBB Regency and Central Maluku Regency. The testing of management accounting adoption contingency models is carried out using path analysis. The result showed that management accounting adoption is a mediator of the relationship between the level of innovation and technology adoption in manufacturing activities with the performance of SMEs. However, this study has not succeeded in proving the relationship between manager characteristics and managers' perceptions of environmental uncertainty with the decision to adopt strategic management accounting by business units. These results indicate that there is a need for further introduction to the benefits of a strategic management accounting system as an important instrument in streamlining the business value chain.Keberlanjutan UKM ditopang oleh berbagai faktor penting baik keuangan maupun keuangan. Penelitian ini menguji faktor non keuangan yakni model adopsi akuntansi manajemen terhadap kinerja UKM di Maluku. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 63 unit UKM yang berada di Kota Ambon, Kabupaten SBB dan Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Pengujian model kontijensi adopsi akuntansi manajemen dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adopsi akuntansi manajemen merupakan pemediasi hubungan antara tingkat inovasi dan adopsi teknologi dalam aktivitas manufaktur dengan kinerja UKM. Namun demikian, penelitian ini belum berhasil membuktikan hubungan antara karakteristik manajer dan persepsi manajer terhadap ketidakpastian lingkungan dengan keputusan untuk mengadopsi akuntansi manajemen stratejik oleh unit usaha. Hasil ini mengindikasikan perlu pengenalan lebih lanjut mengenai kemanfaatan sistem akuntansi manajemen stratejik sebagai instrumen penting dalam mengefisienkan rantai nilai usaha
