    Fuel cell vehicles have the potential to address the problems surrounding the ICE vehicle, without forcing any significant restrictions on vehicle performance, driving range or refueling time. The fuel cells will however need to work at different operating points because of the dynamic load characteristic where current is drawn instantaneously from the load source connected to the fuel cell stack during transient conditions. Research on fuel cell vehicle design is therefore imperative in order to improve vehicle performance in term of energy usage and durability, increase efficiency and reduce the fuel costs. This thesis makes a number of key contributions to the advancement of fuel cell vehicle design within two main research areas; powertrain system design based on quality energy, and optimization system based on biology based algorithms. With regards to powertrain design, this research first evaluates the quantitative and qualitative energy efficiency and fuel consumption of the hydrogen fuel cell propulsion system under various system design configuration conditions. Exergy analysis was performed for each type of plant. Three alternative configurations of a vehicle system were considered namely, without DC/DC converter, with DC/DC converter on the supercapacitors side and with DC/DC converter on the PEM fuel cell side. In the process of evaluating the best system configuration, Multi-Criteria Decision Making technique (MCDM) through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), was used for evaluation, comparison and applicability assessment. The ability to construct accurate mathematical models of real systems is an important part of the control parameters in prototype PEM fuel cell systems for vehicles.     In today's world, two-wheeler vehicles play a crucial role in our lives as a means of transportation. They provide convenient travel from one place to another. However, they can also be a cause of both minor and major accidents when riders forget to lift off the side stand. The side stand serves an important purpose when the vehicle is at rest. Therefore, it is crucial to prevent riders from encountering this issue, which occurs frequently. One solution is to implement an automatic side stand mechanism in vehicles. This mechanism lifts the side stand automatically when the vehicle is starting or coming to a stop. The concept behind the automatic side stand is simple, easy to understand, and practical for real-life applications. In countries like Malaysia, there is a significant number of accidents caused by riders forgetting to lift off the side stand. This issue has serious consequences, impacting many lives. By installing this mechanism, we can effectively prevent such accidents from occurring

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Mini Car Automated Road and Floor Dust Cleaning Machine is a prototype that will help people to do their cleaning process easier. The function of this machine is collecting debris such as dried leaves, dust, and rubbish while moving automatically. The machine will move in the straight line while the brush rolls the debris such as dust and dried leaves into the container inside the machine. Cleaning manually such as sweeping and mopping could take a lot of energy and work. With this prototype, the user will only need to adjust the position of the prototype and let the machine do the cleaning. This will ease the user and prevent any unnecessary injuries in the long term such as back pain and more. Besides that, cleaning manually could take a lot of time especially while cleaning big areas. With this machine, we can save time and do the cleaning activities systematically. The users will only need to take out the container that has collected the debris and dispose of it easily. Hence, this prototype will increase the work efficiency for the cleaning activities. With the help of this prototype, it will lighten the burden thus making the cleaning work easier and efficien

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. The product is mainly designed to reduce time, human effort, and utensils during preparing cooking ingredients. Additionally, it can help to prevent accidental injuries plus make chopping and slicing cooking ingredients considerably easier and faster. Its features are fully automated utensils, can be used for multipurpose, changeable stainless steel sharp blade, easily portable, less power consumption, etc. The methodologies used to accomplish this task are product planning, customer needs identifying, product specification, concept designing, sketching designs, product engineering calculation and analysis, cost calculation for the product and fabrication detailing. Finally, the expected result of the study would assist and improve design and fabricate a mechanism that can help people to reduce time, human energy, and utensils during preparing cooking ingredients.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
