    LBISiegmund Hess was born in 1838 in Gross Muehlingen, the son of a musical family. In 1885 he moved to Gardelegen, Saxony, where he remained until his death in 1912. He held the honorary title of Koenigl. Musikmeister (Royal Music Master).
